Just as the title says. Nobody can deny that KH3 has its ups and downs, so let’s list some of the ones in the Disney worlds. I’ll start:

Olympus
Pros
:
>We fight all four Titans (albeit as one first and three second)
>No tired formula of Hades using a FF character.
>Cloud and Auron made a nice cameo
>We get to explore Mt. Olympus itself
>Air Soldiers are brilliantly designed to look Greek
Cons:
>No actual obstacle courses (Phil doesn’t even speak)
>No FF characters at all
>Zues’s appearance was wasted
>No Coliseum-esque…anything

Toy Box
Pros:

>Creative concept
>Creative enemies
>Side characters like Slinky are mentioned
>No stupid gimmick where you pretend to be a toy when people walk by (let’s be honest, it’d just be an annoying excuse to extend the playtime)
>Nice FFXV self-parody
>Neat callback to Toy Story Before Time
Cons:
>Nightmares would thematically make better enemies
>No fight against a possessed Zurg doll
>Yozora is unironically gonna be used in the story
>No mission where we break Buzz free from Young Xehanort’s control
>Jessie and Bullseye don’t even appear, for…some reason?

Kingdom of Corona
Pros:

>Rapunzel and Flynn’s abilities are used creatively
>The little pit stops along the way are adorable
>We……sorta fight Mother Gothel through Grim Guardianess?
>The music changes when we enter the Marsh
>The dance minigame faithfully recreates the part where Maximus boots Flynn into the dance
>Powerwilds are creatively used in the Chaos Carriage miniboss
Cons:
>We don’t get to ride Maximus nor reside Flynn
>We never find out what Gothel’s eyes turning mahogany has to do with keeping Rapunzel
>And spearing of which, Gothel’s longevity thanks to the flower that helped Rapunzel grow her hair isn’t even mentioned, nor the flower itself (would’ve made for a cool Nobody boss, and it could even have a lesser Heartless helping her)
-Honorable mention to Rapunzel no longer being a party member when we finish the world. It sucks, but it’s at least true to the movie.

Arendelle
Pros:

>Elsa isn’t forced to be a party member for no reason, with Marshmallow taking her place after we fight him
>Larxene is brilliantly used as a parallel to how she treated Naminé
>The ice labyrinth is a nice consolation for not being able to explore Arendelle
>Picking Olaf back up is fun when you know where to go
Cons:
>We climb up a mountain three times, needless to say
>Hans doesn’t appear until the last 20 minutes, and we dint even fight him
>Unversed would thematically make better enemies
>Elsa is a PoH alongside even though she harbors as much darkness in her heart as light (thanks, Disney.)
>Also the last time we visit a PoH’s world

Monstropolis
Pros:

>Unversed are the enemies, and the ones who appear fit perfectly
>Put That Thing Back Where it Came From or So Help Me is changed for context’s sake so it isn’t brazenly shoehorned
>Randall is a major antagonist
>Scream Strike has the gang making funny faces during the parts where you fill up Boo’s laughter gauge
>Sora does the funny face he does in KH1
Cons:
>No fight against Randall or Vanitas even though I liked the scene with the Yeetus Vanitas
>Only three types of non-Flood Unversed in this world (two of which are the same species, just with different colors, sizes and effects)
>Sully doesn’t even attack in the two parts where he protects Boo

The Caribbean
Pros:

>Best looking world in the series
>Jared Butler’s Jack Sparrow sounds more like Johnny Depp and less like James Arnold Taylor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi
>Sora remembers his encounter with Barbossa
>Davy Jones is a boss
>Beckett and Tia Dalma appear
>Rightfully to skip over Dead Man’s Chest
>The Kraken is resurrected by Luxord as a Nobody
>The sea and islands can be freely explored any time
Cons:
>The ship combat is more tedious than it needs to be
>Dalma’s importance is just about rendered moot when she turns into crabs
>No “He’s a Pirate” anywhere

San Fransokyo
Pros:

>Baymax says “oh no” when attakced
>The beginning is battle after battle in true crime-fighting fashion
>The Bug Blox appear as enemies
>Big Hero 6 take notes from Sora’s abilities and weave into their own
Cons:
>The Metal Troll is literally just a modernized Rock Troll (his journal entry literally describes him as a hangry Rock Troll)
>Unversed would thematically make better enemies
>Aqua-not-a-Nort would thematically make a better antagonist (Dark Riku could be on the side if necessary)
>Big Hero 6 aren’t party members
>Bug Blox aren’t even acknowledged as Donald and Goofy’s past enemies even though Goofy himself mentioned the Datascape
>Snipers? Really? No Reapers or Ninja
>No TWEWY cameo of any kind

100 Acre Wood
Pros:

>It’s nice to see Lumpy in a KH game
Cons:
>You play the same minigame three times
>Lumpy just says repeats what Roo says
>The total playtime is 20 minutes
>All that…just because Pooh forgot all about you

You pretty much listed all my issues, the only other thing I'd add is a con for San Fransokyo. Everyone kept acting like the original Baymax body and Hiro's combat chip as the real Baymax, even though healthcare chip Baymax would be the real one. They even made the point that the chip is essentially his heart.

This would have been a good opportunity to highlight how people can use a replacement body (replicas) and bodies being taken over (Terranort).

You listed some pretty good pros and cons, most of which I'm in agreement with. Though personally I wouldnt list the absent of TWEWY cameos in San Fransokyo as a con. Since Shibuya will be appearing next game it makes sense why Nomura held off having them appear in KH3.

I agree with a lot of your points. Especially the one about Elsa being a POH. I feel like it was only done because she's such a popular Disney character (well obviously) but thematically doesn't make sense. I thought Larxene was going to mistake Elsa for one, but it was really Anna who was the POH all along and there would be a mix up. Like come on, let Anna have this one thing. Elsa already outshines her in the magical ice power department. Did she really need that too, lol.

I also really agree with the lack of Disney bosses. I wanted to fight Randal so badly and Mother Gothel could have been fun with the aide of a Heartless. I also love Baymax's "Oh no" makes going back to that world so worth it.

I get what you mean about Aqua-not-nort, but I still think Dark Riku fit the theme there given what he is and what he was trying to do.
Great list you have!

I'm not as salty with the lack of Disney bosses in this game. It's not like the bosses would be any memorable or good in comparison to the wide array in 1 & 2. Randall...sure I guess. Just not Gothel and Hans. They're not all so memorable Disney villains to begin with, in my opinion. My pros would definitely be the Disney characters having more interaction with the Organization it's the best part about 3, and had MANY of the most memorable moments. Why not, instead of imagining Disney bosses, we imagine Organization bosses in their respectively assigned worlds. Am I the only one who could see a Vanitas fight in Monstropolis as he absorbs the scare power, and utilizing the whole Scare floor to his advantage?

Monstropolis felt more like a dungeon than a world. Not being able to go into the city & see monster NPCs was a disappointment.

>Elsa isn’t forced to be a party member for no reason, with Marshmallow taking her place after we fight him
Really? I find putting in the princess with the ice powers & not doing something with said powers in gameplay to be a waste. Party member, mini-boss, summon, create grind rails to help reach a flying boss, SOMETHING.

>Elsa is a PoH alongside even though she harbors as much darkness in her heart as light (thanks, Disney.)
She wasn't born a PoH, she ascended as one. She was basically a normal person up until Anna's thawing.

Toy Story
Pros: it's Toy Story
Cons: no fighting Sid, and those damn mecha robots getting in the way of wanting to explore the world after finishing it. I can't enjoy running around that place when an insanely difficult and enemy that doesn't stylistically fit into the world spawns every 5 steps.

Pros: VERTICALITY!!! Actual vertical exploration, not just some platforms every once in a while for flavor. Also, underwater exploration and combat are actually fun!
Cons: San Fransoyko is a box.

That's all I really have to add, OP had a lot of good opinions that I share.

I'll limit myself to one each

Olympus
Pro: Great level Design
Con: No coliseum

Toy Box
Pro: Field and battle themes
Con: Too many mech fights. I wish they would just disappear when you revisit the world.

Kingdom of Corona
Pro: Helping Rapunzel experience the world for the first time
Con: Major plot holes like how Rapunzel got the satchel or why Flynn left her during the lantern scene
*side note- Rapunzel being removed as a party member when you leave the world really bugs me too. All they had to do was give her a new skill set (cough frying pan cough)

Monstropolis
Pro: Boo tagging along with you as you explore the world. I wish KH would do this more with characters who aren't party members.
Con: No Randall boss fight. WTF Pixar? It's okay for him to get beaten down by a shovel but not be a boss in a KH game?

Arendelle
Pro: Marshmallow boss fight
Con: SDG's lack of time with the Frozen cast

The Caribbean
Pro: Amazing CGI cutscenes
Con: 300 crab collecting

San Fransokyo
Pro: The scene where Sora inspires BH6 to upgrade their gear
Con: The world desperately needed another room or area to explore. It's just one box. Adding the area by Hiro's Aunt's Dinner and a fully explorable bridge would've helped this world a lot

100 Acre Wood
Pro: The visual aesthetic
Con: Everything else

Mt. Olympus
Pros:

- I love love love the climb up the mountain. So well done.
- Thebes is perfect. They even included the Hercules mosaic.
- Hercules as a party member.
- Fighting the 4 Titans, even if I'd have liked to fight the Lava Titan solo. There's always future games for that though.
- Love all the NPCs and how different everything is when you return post-world.
Cons:
- Nomura failing to find a way to bring up Zack.
- No Hermes, Fates, Muses, or Cyclops. Although, like I said before, there's always future games for that.
- Megara and Phil have very little role.
- I would've liked if they'd included some more gods standing around with Zeus, since they had some models for them.
- No coliseum.

Toy Box
Pros:

- I enjoy how maze-like the toy store is, and all the nooks and crannies to search.
- The interactions between Woody, Buzz and Young Xehanort.
Cons:
- Not getting to explore more of Andy's house or the neighborhood.
- No Jessie, Potato Head, Bo Peep, or Slinky. Jessie should've been a party member. Of course, like with Hercules, I'm sure this world will reappear in future games. Though it's a real fail they didn't include Barbie since they met her in a toy store after all.
- Kind of sorta a con and not a con--the gundam things really get on my nerves. I like that they're challenging, but at a certain point they just become exhausting to deal with more than anything else.
- I don't really enjoy the Yozora stuff and I hate the part where Young Xehanort shoves you into the game.

Monstropolis
Pros:

- Pretty much the same pro's as Toy Box.
- The use of Unversed.
Cons:
- No Roz or Celia. I would've liked to have at least seen Celia at the beginning, when SDG fight the Unversed in the opening room with the world map on the roof.
- No fight with Randall. Worse because I'm not sure if this world will reappear...

Corona
Pros:

- I loved the hill with the flowers, the area with the tower, and the city around the castle.
- Escorting Flynn and Rapunzel is fun.
- The normal enemies are challenging.
Cons:
- The most stilted world story for me. Most of the scenes fall in that same shot-for-shot blandness KH2 was known for and I was hoping not to see again. Arendelle does the same thing with the Disney characters, except prettier. SDG not following Anna around the whole time might be the reason that world avoids repeating more scenes like Corona, I suppose.
- The forest really blends together after a while--and goes on and on. I've come to appreciate it over time, but it was the only world first playthrough that got on my nerves.
- Rapunzel no longer being a party member post-world. So dumb.
- No Gothel boss fight.
- Marluxia not being more involved.
- I wish they'd included "I See the Light" during the boat scene. It felt incomplete without it and they'd already included music with Arendelle anyway.

Arendelle
Pros:

- Larxene.
- I love the sledding minigame.
- The re-created film scenes were really gorgeous.
- I personally love the level design for this one. Sometimes it can blend together, just like Corona, but I guess the fact that it's more vertical makes it less irksome / more fun for me personally? Corona was mostly just walking forward until you get to the cave area. It helps that flowmotion really opens up more in Arendelle, too.
- The Marshmallow boss battle.
- The ice dungeon.
Cons:
- Not having Anna and Kristoff as party members. SDG could've escorted them up the mountain, then been separated from them after the Marshmallow fight, but they would be available post-world.
- No boss fight with Prince Hans (even if he was accompanied by a Heartless).
- Not getting to go inside the ice palace, at least post-world.
- I would've liked to explore Arendelle castle and the city, but I didn't mind the world being isolated to the mountain as much as others this time. The world will be back.

San Fransokyo
Pros:

- They did a great job with the original story, I thought.
- Even though it was a square, I thought the level was fun enough. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but I enjoyed the world itself.
Cons:
- Not being able to access the bridge except via battlegate.
- The battlegate(s) change the time of day you've went into the city once you exit.
- The world felt like it went by too fast compared to the others (not including 100 Acre Wood...).

The Caribbean
Pros:

- Such a fantastic level design, overall. Both Port Royal and all the little islands. Phenomenal. I love searching for all the various Hidden Mickey's, crabs, and chests.
- The ship battles. I really enjoy using and leveling the ship.
- The final battles. First the Kraken and then Dave Jones. Perfectly done, imo.
- The underwater mechanics were SO GOOD. I mean, I never had a problem with them in KH1's Atlantica, but I'm glad they finally gave it another try. I love water worlds and would hate if we never had them again.
Cons:
- Not enough story, especially not enough Calypso. AWE was the weakest of the original trilogy which is why I don't mind so much that we didn't see everything, but I would've liked more of Calypso at least. She was one of the bright spots.
- I would've liked to have Elizabeth and Will as party member options at the end. At least there's Jack.

100 Acre Wood
Pros:

- I enjoy the minigame, and that it ties into the cooking side quest. In a way, I wish Sora had just taken the book so that we didn't have to go into another world to jump into another world anymore. It would've been nice to enter the 100 Acre Wood straight from the world menu.
Cons:
- Just...what even was this? Not even a short story introducing Lumpy.
- Unless I'm forgetting them, Owl and Eeyore weren't there.

Idk if SE can even afford the rights to use Potato Head, Slinky and Barbie. These are real toys owned by real companies; just trying to get permission would be difficult.

I'm not sure what you want me to say here. If having the cast cut in half was a satisfying development for you, more power to you! I do not feel the same way, sorry.

Any world in KH3 will be better than 100 Acre Wood.

I have no idea how you interpreted my post as saying I approve of their decision to exclude characters. I'm saying it's unrealistic to expect those licensed toys in KH and that they are not a necessity for the world. As long as they have Woody and Buzz, they can make do with a mishmash of whatever toys are free to use. Potato Head, Slinky and Barbie do not drive the plot in Toy Story; they are simply along for the ride.

I don't know how else you expected your post to be interpreted except as an attempt to correct me and for me to nod in agreement with you that I shouldn't be disappointed over that. I don't feel any differently than I did before. If including the cast is beyond SE's ability, maybe they shouldn't have included the world in the game. They wanted the benefit of having a lucrative property to boost sales, but didn't want to have to shell out extra in order to depict it properly. That's on them. *shrug* Phil and Meg weren't necessary to drive the plot in Olympus either and yet it's still disappointing that they're non-entities.

It's not a targeted criticism of KH3. I could do a pros and cons list for KH1's world, too. This just happens to be a thread about KH3's worlds.

Alright, Pros and cons? I can do that
Arendelle:
Pro: It sucks as a world, and a large majority of the fanbase hates it,myself included
Cons: It exists in the first place where there are many other disney properties that could do it's job better as the ice level, in other words, it WASTES a world slot.
It's frozen, enough said
You fall off the mountain 3 times to drive the plot across, WHY?!? (and I know why, just saying)
Toy Box
Pro: the ideas here are nice, really nice, love the idea of shrinking SDG down to toy size is just brilliant
The heartless, the marionette is honestly one of the best things in the entire series. their parasitic takeover of the toys is a great concept
The gigas, hope these things return
Con: You can't actually play wall street ninja
Wallace Shawn (the voice for Rex) is underutilized, he's one of the best and most iconic voice actors in disney history. WHY NOT USE HIM!?!

- Nomura failing to find a way to bring up Zack.
Like seriously, Auron and Cloud getting a mention by the narrator but not Zack just makes me sad.

- No Hermes, Fates, Muses, or Cyclops. Although, like I said before, there's always future games for that.

Better than nothing, I suppose.

A big con for Toy Story is not taking advantage of the Final Fantasy themed toys in Galaxy Toys. How awesome would it have been to see the Dissidia action figures come to life? Or the final fantasy summons like Alexander or Leviathan?
All the excitement in seeing them left the second I realized we can't fight them. :'(

Con: You can't actually play wall street ninja
KH3's BIGGEST CRIME!
