Lineage and Badassery

Simple. A Bleach orientated battle between myself and King Sora X.

I'll be using Colby Alexander Raito, and he'll use Captain Kenpachi Kaizen.

Normal rules apply as always.

The one word that would be best to describe the area that Kai was currently in. Majestic yellows and lush greens graced not only the ground, but the skies were laced with blue colors, and white clouds. There was also a rainbow arched from one end to the other going across the entire area. In the center, Kai saw a single cliff-like object. It was all wonderful, and Kai just had to take it all in. He took in one deep breath, and the fresh air went into him; it was fulfilling. Kai even became distracted by the sounds of birds chirping, rabbits running, and fish swimming. Truly, Kai forgot the reason he was even here.

"Man, this is just wonderful." Kai said to himself, landing in the centerpiece of the entire landscape. He took a seat down as his ass was placed on the edge of the cliff in the center, and his legs dangling off. He actually was in a 'no cares in the world' mindset. There wasn't anything that would make him focus on anything but God's own garden.

"Nothing."

Scotland was a place that was often left unchecked and had an untold beauty that Colby enjoyed. Here the sky was clear and you could see clearly across the horizon. It was so completely different from being back home in Japan with his love, Skye. A peaceful feeling had come to Colby as he sat on what was left of a small fortress used many years beforehand.

A soft breeze had been blowing in from the east for several hours. It was only complimented further by a rainbow that stretched from one end of the of the valley to the other. "Lovely day it is. It really is sad that all of this could be laid to waste this very day." For the time being Kaizen and Colby had been requested by the head captain to observe the area. Findings pointed to this being the next locale for destruction by the High King Marko Hellion.

Right on cue Captain Kenpachi Kaizen plopped down onto the same worn down structure that Colby was perched on and ignored him completely.

"You know, you really should be nicer to me."

"You know, you really should be nicer to me."

Kai was relaxed; more than he knew he should be. It wasn't until he actually took a chance to look behind him, and that's where he saw Daaku's son, Colby Raito. Instantly, Kai used Lunar Walk to quickly get from on top of him. It definitely didn't give Kai any good feelings. It's not like there is anything wrong with Colby, but Kai just doesn't roll that way. Even more into that, Kai didn't like being surprised like that; especially if the person who surprised him is the one who Kai is set to fight as a part of a training exercise or something of the like. So, Kai, as he stands about five feet across from Colby, who is still turned the opposite way, takes out Shokukoma.

"Let's see what you have to offer, young Colby." Kai said with a swift motion of his body as part of Lunar Walk. His reiatsu was increased in the same time he appeared right behind Colby, and went in for a swift, roundhouse kick all the while his Shokukoma was in a reverse grip. So, while Kai goes for a clockwise-rotating left roundhouse, Kai went in for a reverse-gripped, horizontal strike.

Having been sitting in the inverse direction of Kaizen might have been a disadvantage to some, especially when they were attacked without warning. Colby was already tracking the idea of what Kaizen might do and reading the pattern of his spiritual output to make sure he was able to properly defend himself in the right way. "Fine then, if that is what you want." The spiritual pressure that Kaizen had was outstanding. Nearly every Kenpachi there was or had been had the similar monster-like power, so Colby fully expected it.

As the rush of energy from Kaizen using Lunar Walk manifested, Colby had already started to move. He'd come fully around to flip partially backward and intercept the kick itself by using his left arm. In the same motion he'd ignited his arm using musui kasai and expelled a quick wave of the translucent flames outward at Kaizen. The soul purpose of such a move was to use the effects of the fire to flash freeze Kaizen's entire zanpakuto as he slashed with it.

"Nice combination Kenpachi, is there more??" Regardless the slash had been defended against already by the buffer of Colby's dragon's scales. Kenpachi had probably seen the black glimmer outline of scales appear and then vanish as he attacked. "Let's continue shall we??" A stream of fire began to pour from Colby in a mass that looked close to a rocket taking off. The fire was aimed toward and around the Kenpachi and in the process, Colby rocketed himself backward to float in the air, nearly 100 feet from where the two men had been.

Colby figured a bit more couldn't hurt. "Arufaha!!!," exclaimed Colby as his own zanpakuto appeared in his grasp. He'd sent forth a mass of reiryoku and magical force shaped in the form of a dragon head and released it toward Kaizen. "Let's go!!!"

Not surprised that Colby caught onto Kai's attack. This kid is Daaku's son, after all. Besides, it would have been too easy for Kai's attack to even hit, let alone kill Colby. Oh no, Kai wants this fight to go on much longer than it has already. The fight here has only just begun. To evade his attack, Colby merely frontflipped his body out of range. In the moment that he did such an action, Kai saw it very briefly. The black scales on Colby's body. Kai had heard of it, but this was his first time actually seeing it. Yes, it definitely was how Colby defended against Kai's sword swing.

"How very intriguing.." Kai's voice trailed on as he looked upward. Nearly one hundred feet to the northwest direction of his current position was Colby who had gathered a considerably large amount of spirit energy. He condensed it into a dragon-like blast. Kai smiled at this. Colby, yet again, impressed Kai. The dragon that was formed from what it looked to be some mixture of reiyoku and some other power source came downward strait towards Kai. All Kai did was smile. He gripped Shokukoma with both hands, and took a Kendo stance. He built up his reiatsu into his feet, and within seconds it had risen into his hands, and his body pulsated. The amount of spirit energy gathered into his swords is off the hook. He waited for Colby's black energy dragon to near him, and that's when he would strike.

Inhaling, Kai cleared his body of all thoughts. His core had became the center of which would be his zen. And then it came. The dragon was merely three feet away from Kai to which Kai was facing it with his eyes close. By simple exhaling, Kai exerted the gathered spirit energy from the blade of his Shokukoma, and the power gathered cut the dragon in half all the way through. All Kai had to do was to keep his stance in perfection and remain as quiet as a mute mouse.

Kai exhaled, and disappeared. His reiatsu signature had vanished for one moment and that's all he needed. He had appeared behind Colby, and then his reiatsu skyrocketed. Kai this time had Colby right where he wanted him. In a single motion of his left arm, Kai delivered a strait left punch to Colby's back with his reiatsu surrounding it. Should it hit, colby would feel over five-hundred pounds of bone-crushing force.

"Hmm, maybe I should wait and see what he does." After firing off his attack from the blade of the zanpakuto, Colby sought to quickly check in on what Kaizen's plans were. Colby could see clearly all that his foe was doing and watched interested as Kai took a stance and began to gather his own spiritual energy. The result was the attack being cut in half.

Once again the Kenpachi had vanished but Colby was aware of him nonetheless, being able to sense a foe regardless by using Septimus to do so we he might not be able to. "Damn he's fast." From behind, Colby was attacked once more by Kaizen, the rapid expulsion of reiatsu fueling the punch pinged hard against the scales as they formed but then shattered them, moving further to slam into Colby's back near his mid spine.

The captain was probably expecting Colby to go flying off into the distance from such a blow but this wasn't going to be the case. "I felt that you know??" Colby didn't around, feinting pain and then groaning as his body erupted into flames while Kaizen's fist was still touching it. Colby excited the force of his anhydrous fire and once again used a powerful flash of fire to rapidly disrupt Kaizen. It was obvious that he'd move out of the way, so Colby manipulated the fire to freeze many particles of matter that were in the area and coat them all with his own fire.

Kenpachi moving through the flames in any direction would cause a blast directed back toward Colby within an area of a yard. Colby rapidly moved forward and slashed at Kaizen three times, the first blow at kaizen's wrist to cause a possible mishap as he defended and the other two strikes powered by the great physical strength that Colby himself could muster. As added effect, he'd used Okasen in sync with the third strike to spray a wide arc of energy at the captain.

Once again, Kai had been amused, but this was quite a different feeling on Kai's part. He actually got a physical touch of how Colby's fire felt. Kai would be lying if he said that the fire felt good. He had heard that Colby's fire was healing, but this one was actually pretty hot. It might be true that Kai's attack hit, but Colby must have caught onto Kai's attack as Kai himself got a little burn on his hand. Kai felt that it would be smart to at least gain some space between the two of them, so he used Lunar Walk to just dash back a few feet, but the damage had already been done as Kai could feel the burning sensation on his left hand. It really wasn't anything major, but this definitely wasn't a good feeling he had.

"Well then." That was all that Kai could say as he saw Colby swing three times at Kai. the first came near Kai's waist, which Kai easily was able to get out of the way of just by simply frontflipping into the air. While still in the air, Kai said "Awaken from slumber, Shokukoma." As he said that, Kai's zanpaktou emitted a faint glow to which it faded out like smoke or something of the like into a sword that was slightly shorter than its sealed form. Several designs could be seen on it.

As Kai returned to a standing position, he still had to deal with the other two strikes which were homing at him at rather fast speeds. In the same motion that Kai had released Shokukoma, the large arc of energy came at him, and Kai would have to sacrifice a portion of his original plan for him to evade an early death. So, with that mindset, Kai raised Shokukoma and charged forward while executing Lunar Walk as he traveling short distances from the left to right. He would evade the majority of the arc of energy, but Kai would get scraped with the sides of the arc of energy which would rip parts of his captain's robe, but that was okay. It's not like that's all that important in this current situation. The great thing about this all is that Kai can now finally rush forward to Colby, but he did not get off that energy attack without a few cuts. He pays no attention to that.

"Okoshi." All Kai had uttered out of his mouth.

Incoming strait to Kai impaled Colby with a deadly strike in the left peck area as he gripped Shokukoma with his right hand due to his slight burn on his left hand. In an one hundred-eighty degree turn, Kai was able to use the momentum to exert raw spiritual force that, if successful, would push Colby down to the ground with all the force of the original impalement.

Colby was intrigued by all of the swift movements that Kenpachi was able to use and continue using as he strung together his next series of attacks. The rapid strike hadn't even caught the vizored off guard but it was still something to be dealt with. The raw power of Kenpachi's now released zanpakuto had been enough to once again pierce the black scales that defended him. Colby had been shocked at the power displayed by the blow but the tip of Shokukoma hadn't actually been that damaging.

"Shit." By any means, Colby was sent crashing through the air, at the same time producing a black stream of lightning the instant he'd been impaled which would easily hit the Kenpachi at such a close range with him in motion of the attack. As Colby continued to fall toward the ground he grimaced, not wanting to already use his shikai. He knew that it wouldn't be smart to continue battling without it as Kenpachi had already released his zanpakuto.

The vizard invoked Tenran and created a huge dragon shaped twister of magical force and wind itself, it widened very quickly to obscure from view all of Colby's body as he fell. Wind lashed around Kaizen in a fierce manner and as it did, if he meandered outside the path of the tornado he probably witnessed Colby slitting his own throat. A grotesque spray of dark matter spilled out of the wound in a flash of light but thereafter Colby had become a silhouette.

In his hands Colby held up his zanpakuto; Yuusou Kuraraka in its released state. One amusing part of this entire transformation into shikai was that Colby realized how similar both his and Kenpachi's blade's were in appearance. Colby stood on the ground and called out to Kaizen up above him, "Come on Kenpachi, try and do that again!!!" With Heric Blackness pointed directly at Kaizen, Colby smiled and spoke. "Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm." Colby's blade let off a glare of light so intense that it was reflected on the ground which had been rearranging itself over and over again. "The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle! Thunder. Roar. Cannon. Slash."

If before hado number 63 had been intense, this was even more impressive. A wide beam wave of deep golden energy exploded from Colby's zanpakuto and moved outward to surround his body on its travel toward Kaizen. The force was quite impressive and Colby moved his sword back and forth to sweep the sky with the blast, giving him even more availability to thwart incoming attacks and hit Kenpachi.

Only a few seconds. Just a few seconds that was in-between Kaizen and Colby. Those few seconds was all that Kai needed to kill Colby, but alas he didn't get the job done as the space between the two proved to be on Colby's side. The twirling of the son of Daaku wasn't met without a problem for Kai as black lightning formed, and struck kai on the left shin. Hurt as he was, Kai couldn't let it bother him. The pain would be met with resistance as it kept acting up, but Kai just had to push through it. He had landed on the ground about several meters away from Colby, but this wouldn't be without resistance, like with his shin. Colby had formed a dragon that looked to be formed out of wind and magical energy. This meant that Kai, even at his distance, would be met with heavy yet light strikes of wind at him. Kai just embraced it as he held Shokukoma in front of him to take most of the strikes, but damage had been done.

"Not bad kid." As much pain as he was in, Kaizen was quite impressed with Colby. There was a certain aspect of this kid that gave Kaizen the feeling of his inner-Kenpachi to come out more and more. This would not be good for Colby as Kaizen enters a bit of a rage mode when he's in his Kenpachi zone. As he did enter such a mindset, Kaizen had already returned to his previous place. At the time he did that, he saw Colby...no, he noticed Colby call out to him in what could be described as a raging frenzy or something of the like. What Kai didn't anticipate was that the chanting of Raikoho would begin. Instantly, Kaizen prepared to block it, but there was something else he wasn't anticipating.

"Shit, this is gonna be bad." Kai instantly raised Shokukoma."Let's do this, my friend." Kaizen said as his Shokukoma began to pulsate which at the same moment gathered reishi around itself. Kai would go downward, rotating his body in all kinda of swirling and gliding motions. Shokukoma in every swirl and gliding motion would be at the opposite end of the Raikoho slash. Kaizen knew he would have to give a little to receive a lot. So, with that very mindset dug deep into his mind, Kaizen would sacrifice a little of his own health to get in close to Colby.

"Jisoku Korosu!" Kaizen called out.

Instantly, Kaizen's entire body glowed with a radiant silver and pink aura, and he vanished. Actually, he didn't really vanish, but his speed was amplified so much that he was traveling near light speeds, but even still, there was going to be tough times for Kai as he would aim to go in close to Colby. Using his Lunar Walk constantly, Kaizen was struck on every point of the body, but only flesh wounds. His speed, and constant slashing of overhead, and underhand; vertical, and horizontal, and just any type of slashing motion would bounce off Shokukoma. Kaizen was getting a bit too slashing-happy with this. The one positive thing from all of the slashing is that with each one, Kaizen made his way closer to Colby. It had gotten to the point where just a few series of seven strikes later that Kaizen had reached to the point where he could go down the middle to get to Colby. However, Colby was keeping his defensive and offense up. Kai would get struck by another side-stream of the Raikoho on his same shin, and the pain soon became intense.

"ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!" Crying out in pain, Kai increased his power to such a degree that he took Shokukoma, and swung like his life depended on it. So much so that it clashed with Colby's zanpaktou as he was near eye level. The two look-a-like swords hit each other, clashing metal to metal, and two separate streams of reiatsu, one deep gold, and one dim pink and silver, each going outward, clashed. Only one side would win this struggle, and Kai would make sure he would be the winning side as he pushed forward. Only the stronger side would win.

"Geez, dad did warn me that this guy was crazy. I should have listened to him before getting myself into this." Kaizen had turned his body into a moving tornado of his very physical form. He slashed out toward the spell slash that Colby had produced many times over, injuring his own leg in the process. A wound like that didn't mean much to a Kenpachi, that much was obvious to Daaku's son. Captain Kaizn just kept coming toward Colby and didn't slow down or stop.

He just kept coming. "That's right, do exactly what I want you to do." Kaizen continued his approach of weaving around and using his zanpakuto to cut through the lightning being emitted off Heroic Blackness. With each passing second, Kaizen got closer and closer until he reached a point where Colby sighed, moving his own plan into motion just as Kaizen was blasted with another stream of lightning. He'd been even more unlucky to have it raze along the side of the same leg that had been hit the first time.

In the last few feet before Kaizen would be upon him, Colby's spell ceased and the bellow from Kai as he attacked just made Colby grin. Both swords looked nearly exactly alike but already Colby was aware of the outcome of this clash. Shokukoma had slammed hard into Yuusou Kuroraka, simultaneously activating two separate abilities that the shikai was able to muster. Immediately as a hostile being such as Kaizen Kenpachi had gotten that close to Colby, Septimus' shadow had become active, materializing to the left of Kaizen in a display of dark rippling liquid that burst over Kaizen quickly, fading away right afterward.

For Kaizen to push back against Colby's blade was causing him more and more problems. Each time the metals of the two zanpakuto scraped across one another, Kaizen missed something happening. "You've set yourself up to fall Mr. Kenpachi." The effect of Yuusou Kuroraka in its shikai release was to cause a spiritual inhibitor upon objects that moved against it. With the numerous times that the two blades had already banged into each other, Kaizen would find that his blade had continued to get heavier during the clash. In fact the possibility of Kenpachi not realizing this was high, just due to the physical strength he had.

However, "Your soul has also become heavy for foolishly rushing in and attacking me." Colby did not lie. The intrusive nature of Colby's spirit and Septimus acting together continued to destabilize the bond between Kaizen and that of his own blade on top of its rapidly increasing weight. Thus another bond between Colby and Septimus came into play as the shadow of Septimus began to draw itself from around Colby. In actual time only a few seconds had passed in between the blades starting to clash but that was all it took. Time didn't effect the equation of Colby's shikai abilities at all.

Septimus' shadow vanished completely from around Colby and swirled around Yuusou Kuroraka, instigating a complete transformation. Now the zanpakuto had aassumed a darkened appearance, albeit one that was still elegant. "So, I guess I'll show you a power that shinigami like you say is corruption. I agree to some extent but I control this corruption." He'd been holding onto Yuusou Kuroraka in left hand, drawing the flow of dark energy around it to manifest the dragon scales he normally displayed when attacked. This time around it was for another reason. The scales solidified and ran up and down the length Colby's body altogether, completing his hollowfication.

So much weight had been added to Kaizen's zanpakuto and soul that Colby doubted he'd even be able to battle properly with it at all and with a simple step backward the momentum of Kaizen pressing his blade against Colby's caused him to stumble forward into a tripping sweep attack used by Colby. The literal pull of Colby's scales upon both the heavy soul and blade of Kaizen made this attack even more viable but just as an active measure to follow it up; Colby morphed his right arm into a cannon shaped like a dragon's head and fired. A sphere of black Cero wrapped in a gravity field was exerted at Kaizen at point blank range, having been mixed with a large amount of extra necrotic essence, it held even more force within it.

"Heh..." The Cero detonated shortly after being fired, causing a huge blast of energy upon Kaizen.

It’s true. Kaizen had dug his own grave in this situation…or had he? On the surface and up close, it appeared that Kai was trapped by such forces from Colby’s Zanpaktou, and then the weird shadow that appeared before him…well more like over him or whatever. There was just a few seconds of elapsed time, but Kaizen felt like it was forever. Never had he felt such heavy force on his soul in such a long time. This all reminded him too much of what happened when Kaizen would overuse his abilities. It felt just exactly like that, but somehow he felt different. Not the kind of different that would force him to quit, but something that made Kaizen not want to quit. As strange as that sounds, Kaizen can make complete sense of it.

“My fall, huh? How exactly is that so, dear Colby?” Such rhetoric words coming from Kai’s mouth. The silly notion that Colby had of how little Kaizen’s strength was to him. It would be the downfall of the Vizored when he lays facedown and Kaizen on top as the victor. However, Kai would have to get past this weird feeling inside him. He would definitely know how to get past it if there wasn’t the fact that Colby went all scaley-dragony on him. Even worse, the shikai of his Zanpaktou turned black just like the scales on his skin. Even more into that, Kaizen saw how that Colby formed a canon on his hand. He couldn’t tell which arm it was, but not like that really mattered. Kaizen was going to hurt.

“I know this will hurt, I just know it.” Kaizen was right. A point-blank Cero hit would hurt, but that wouldn’t be the case. “Ban-Kai!” That very word ignited a chain reaction of raw spiritual power toe exert from Kaizen’s being. His body being enveloped in pure spiritual energy, the silver, black, white, and burgundy-red all meshed into a half-misty, half-solid reiatsu aura that surrounded his entire body and had thus protected him from the Cero that was fired at him from point-blank range. His body began to absorb the reiatsu he was generating to enable the maximum effects of his power. This meant that speed, strength — everything would be at full power, and make Kaizen almost unbeatable in the process.

As the spirit energy clears, Kai has moved himself about seven feet into the air, and fifty feet to the left so that he would be away from Colby. His robe now a full black one with a hood option, and his body has been healed of all injuries as a part of the Bankai he’s in. “Now create your existence, and forge a path in tainted sorrows, Hontotsuki.” As he called that out, a second weapon appeared in his left hand. He held now two weapons, Shokukoma, the Eclipsed Frame, and Hontotsuki, The Truest Moon. Both, with his awakened Aueikukori-Ryu style, made Kai the strongest he’s ever been.

“Colby Raito, consider your fate sealed.” On the instant, Kai’s body flickered. He appeared behind Colby with his blades against Colby’s body. Shokukoma against his left shoulder pointing downward, and Hontotsuki pointed strait, and across Colby’s throat. Kai had then raised his body bringing his two swords with him. A simple thought would decide what Kaizen would do. On the single thought within his mind, Kaizen appeared below Colby, and delivered such a massive kick to Colby’s private parts that it would look as if he was knelt down so far that his butt is touching the ground, and his leg perfectly elevated to aid in the force of the kick.

This had turned from a simple sparring match into a mess where Colby didn't want to go too far. He'd hollowfied and gained a kind of power that was much different from the normal idea of a vizored. At least that which Kaizen Kenpachi could comprehend anyway. Colby could be honest and say that he didn't understand the need for Kaizen to unleash his bankai at all, it must have been the only thing a man that constantly relied on extreme amounts of brute force could think would work. For certain, things were about to get much more interesting.

Kaizen then used the forces from within his banaki to bring about another weapon to use. It had a crisp and gorgeously wicked appearance in Colby's opinion and yet he already had deduced just how far it would all go. Colby's eyes were in fact closed when Kaizen used his extreme speed to make it over to Colby and then put both blades upon Colby's body. The two blades each reached a separate spot but as before, this was something that worked to the vizoreds advantage. Both manifestations of Kaizen's zanpakuto had already fed him even more information than ever before.

"Your speed and physical power don't mean anything to me in this form. Mr. Kenpachi, yet you boast and tell me that I should consider my fate sealed. You do realize that Daaku is my father right??" He chuckled, looking down to see a foot smash into his groin. The smallest of cracks appeared in that spot but smoothed over in the same second, causing Colby's chuckle to turn into full blown laughter. "Man, what type of kick was that?? Maybe you're assuming that just because you have used bankai that now I am helpless against you."

From the left, Colby's large form appeared before Kaizen in the same fashion that the captain had displayed on him, only it was obvious that the motives were different. "Now then, shall we begin??" The core inside of Colby's chest had been thrumming consistently and slowly since the time when hollowfication had been started, now the activity of the core increased. Black mist was now seeping out from the core and in a single pulse of necrotic essences, Kaizen found himself rattled, if only for a second. Everything still appeared the same. Of course it was not. The gravity within the area for at least half a mile around was now plagued by necrotic essence, causing the grass to wither away and even the stones to slowly erode.

"I'm not going to use my bankai unless I absolutely need to Mr. Kenpachi. In the meantime, see how well your bankai works against me." Due to the appearance that Colby had taken because of his inner hollow, his grin looked twisted below his closed eyes. Gravity had been changed dramatically and Kaizen would find that his body had become top heavy. His arms and legs also felt that same effects, his movements now changed by the influence of gravity itself which many shinigami were not immune to. These shinigami included Kaizen Kenpachi.

If Kaizen used his vast speed to move he'd have to first conquer the new gravitational field to do so correctly. "Come at me bro, I don't mind at all." Miniature explosions of cero began to go off at random intervals while Colby waited, still smiling. His eyes remained closed continually increasing his state of zen and resolution.
