This may be old news but i found an easy way to level up in Destiny Islands

Here it is:

Choose Shield and give up sword so you are still strong then choose all top answers to level up quick then find any way to level up to level nine( make sure you stay on day one so you get potions from Riku) then after u learn guard fight wakka but don't target him and stay far enough away so his balls don't hit him when you deflect them with guard. When he walks toward you walk to him then run away and reapeat the process until you get bored or level up.

AGAIN IT MAY BE OLD NEWS BUT PLEASE NO FLAMING!!!

Texas. Plus those other, 49, lesser states.
Another few tips, if you don't mind me jumping in ^_^' :

If you are good with timing, you can actually hit the blitzball back at Wakka. 1 tech point for a normal attack, 2 for a power attack, which I'm sure you know. But, another, slightly more difficult way if you're not great at timing, is to fight Selphie. By attacking and deflecting her attacks, you can get one tech point for deflecting it, and if she jumps at you yelling 'Yaah!' and you deflect it, it will hit her and do damage, and you'll get a second tech point. The greatest thing is that though she does damage to herself, she can't knock herself out, like with Wakka if you accidentally hit him too much with the blitz ball. Therefore, you don't have to wait in between battles, and can keep getting experience. Plus, it's quicker withotu waiting for the blitzball to get all the way across the beach ^_~

A hint, if you're trying to use Selphie, try attacking right as you hear her yelling, and you should deflect her attack.

Blowing up The storm's around. In a silence Have a
Tidus Parrying Glitch: +4 techpoints instead of 2
The following method is quickest way to level-up whilst on the Destiny Islands (second-fastest is via Wakka's blitzball):
Talk to Tidus. Enter the three-on-you battle (so that you earn +5 exp and a potion at the end). First, take-out the other two opponents (Sephie & Wakka), which isn’t too hard to manage at Level6 or higher (’bout same degree of difficulty as the Riku duel).

Then, target-lock Tidus and remain locked-on to him. Run around in oval-shaped circles with him tagging fairly closely behind you. Every-so-often (when Tidus is the farthest away while still within reach of your-own wooden sword), quickly turn around and clank swords with him. If executed correctly, you should see a rather bold shockwave circle at the point of clanking (as if two overlapping), and the words 'Tech +2' should appear on the screen, also in a relatively-speaking bold print. The accentuated boldness of the overlapping circles signifies that you scored two times the amount that it said you scored (4tech instead of 2). Note that ‘tech points’ are the same as 'exp.' or 'experience' points.

Also, by using this glitch\strategy, your battle against Tidus has no designated end, since you aren’t required to hit Tidus's body.

Violent Anger, is this only against 3-on-1? And what do you mean about the accentuated boldness of the overlapping circles signifies that you scored two times the amount that it said you scored?

nope im just beating 1 on hard mode with only the kingdom key.
Try this. Playing it on hard mode wit only basic equipment on all characters, no accesorries (take accessories off of any world specific characters like alladin and jack), pick the rod and give up the sword, no magic use, only use the following abilities; scan, guard, dodge-roll, and the shared abilities. Beat the game wit the secret ending before lv.60. If you can do that, congratulations and welcome to the club.
