How possible is a Level 1 Critical Mode run in this game? Is it as bad as Birth by Sleep, where you had to spam ignite or mini to beat any normal monster, and where bosses take forever, or is it akin more towards Kh2, where you could still do a decent amount of damage due to all sorts of stat boosts?

Its even harder than BBS to be honest, most of the good skills come late in the game, and most of the ones you'll need like HP boost, attack boost, etc. are only temporary, and lost when you change spirit party.

What if you take into account I have every single spirit at star-rank at my disposal? Thank god they made it possible to trade over your spirits.

I'm currently attempting it with carried over spirits from my completed proud mode file. I'm currently up to the bosses in the Grid and Prankster's Paradise for Riku, and near the end of PP with Sora. Carrying over Spirits makes it easier to get abilities (I would defintely not want to try it without that.) I never tried BBS lvl 1, but this is definitely hard. I'm only around halfway through the game, and my melee attacks already barely do noticeable damage. My main strategy right now is to give myself full Water Boosts and spam Balloon spells. The Dream eaters you pick for a battle make a huge difference.

And because bosses take much longer to beat at lvl 1, I've started having to bring Drop-Me-Nots into every boss so I dont drop and have to start over from the beginning. I guess the best strategy would be to stay with one character for a long time so you can buy a lot of bonuses when you drop, but you won't even get that many drop points, because youre level 1

Honestly, I don't see why you'd bother. A level 1 critical run is extremely difficult and consigns you to dozen upon dozen of guaranteed failures. It also limits the number of strategies you can utilize, when testing the game mechanics in every way is one of the only things left once you beat the game. I tried to beet Birth by sleep on level 1 critical mode, and it made me end up hating it by the end of it. It didn't help that the game gave little indication of how to get useful abilities like Once More.

I never understood why people do this is it actually that FUN too you? I play video games for fun not torture, Hell i dont even play KH for the story anymore, i just play them because their fun as hell!

Just because it's harder doesn't mean it's not fun. I just found even critical mode rather easy for me. :D

Star-rank? I didn't know it went above A... and I guess most of my DEs were rank C or D. :( How did you get such high ranks? And what difference does rank actually make?

My handhelds/controllers never get damaged when I'm angry. My right leg comes up with some black-and-blues, though. XD

My DS went to hell with that Zelda train game thingy .. My god that was one frustrating experience. Should've sued Nintendo for it, lol ..

It is possible to do it (I've completed myself the game with these restrictions).

I really had a great time achieving this (it was the first time I played a KH game in Critical Mode Lvl 1), but I'm not gonna lie it's harder than playing just in regular Critical Mode, because your stats don't evolve that much and you really depend on your Spirits to help you with the use of "Spirit Roar", "Combo Assist", etc.

The bosses are obviously a great challenge in Critical Lvl 1 (even the ones that were pretty easy to defeat before).

By the way, I recorded my fights against the Final Bosses of the game in Critical Mode Lvl1.

Yea, I probably won't be attempting it this time around. I managed it for Ven and Aqua in BBS, but could never manage Terra because of the Coliseum, and the commands pretty much necessary to beat it with Terra have like a 1 in 20 chance of success in melding, which never worked for me. Basically, I don't like the battles with time limits doing the lvl 1 thing, and thats pretty much most of DDD
