There have been a few reviews out for 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage lately saying the game runs 3-4 hours. Now, previously interviews have suggested that 0.2 would be about the length of a whole KH3 world. I don't personally know if I believe that, but if that is the case, that means worlds in KH3 will run 3-4 hours. This got me wondering: if the worlds are going to be 3-4 hours, does that mean there will be less worlds overall?
Now I think we should take that number in a proper context. To that end, I checked out GEARSOFDN's blind playthroughs of KH1 and 2 to see just how long it took him to clear each Disney world for the first time. Here's some math if you want to read it:
In short, KH1 has 8 traditional Disney worlds with around an hour of content each, and KH2 has 6 traditional Disney worlds with around two hours of content if you count both loops, but around 1 hour 15 minutes in the first loop alone (Timeless River and Space Paranoids were considered outliers, so in a manner of speaking, KH2 does have 8 traditional worlds). This means that KH3's worlds will be around two or three hours longer than the previous console games, which would be remarkable, especially without the asset re-use of KH2's second loop. It's hard for me to imagine there being the same number of worlds in KH3 (around 7-8) when the worlds are double to quadruple the length of previous games.
So what do you think? Do you think there will be fewer traditional Disney worlds in KH3? Do you think there will be the same number of worlds, maybe by cutting down on non-Disney worlds and other things I didn't account for in this post? Do you think the interviews or estimates about 0.2's length might be misleading? Or will KH3 just be really, really big?
EDIT: Just as an additional data point, it's worth reminding out that we're currently aware of 3 KH3 Disney worlds: Tangled, Big Hero 6, and Olympus Coliseum.

Spoiler ShowI decided to exclude worlds with specific external plot focus (like Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion, or Space Paranoids) and instead focus on the Disney-only worlds. If KH3 decides to go in a different direction then good for it, but these were the easier numbers to gather. Here's what I saw:
Kingdom Hearts 1 had 8 worlds I consider to be "traditional Worlds": Wonderland, Olympus Coliseum, Deep Jungle, Agrabah, Monstro, Halloween Town, Atlantica, and Neverland. In GEARSOFDN's playthrough, each world ranged from around 35-75 minutes, tending to favour one extreme over the other (worlds were either a few minutes from 35 or a few minutes from 75). That may be the "fault" of our player, as GEARSOFDN is very good at mazes, clearing Monstro and Halloween Town in 31 and 37 minutes respectively. I imagine that they would take a little longer for the average player, hitting somewhere closer to the current median, so I imagine the true average is just over an hour.
Kingdom Hearts 2 had 6 worlds I consider to be "traditional worlds": Land of the Dragons, Beast's Castle, Olympus Colsieum, Port Royal, Agrabah, Halloween Toown and Pride Lands. I did not include Timeless River because it lacks a second loop, and I did not include Space Paranoids because it interacts so irregularly with Hallow Bastion. Kingdom Hearts 2 worlds have to be treated in terms of the first loop, the second loop, and the total. GEARSOFDN cleared worlds in the first loop between 48 minutes (Agrabah) and 84 minutes (Olympus Coliseum) with an average of 77 minutes. The second loop took him between 36 minutes (Pride Lands) and 51 (Beast's Castle) with an average of 48.3. The combined trips ranged from 90 minutes (Pride Lands) to 130 minutes (Beast's Castle), with an average of 125.3 minutes.
