Personality: Let's see. Sammy likes skateboarding and driving fast, whether his bike or in one of the sports cars he's always tinkering with. The guy's also a real good dancer, with a specialty for hip hop, so he's got real good foot work because of that. He really digs music, and he likes messing around with songs on his guitar on occasion. He likes cats, he pretends his little sister annoys the hell out of him while hiding the fact that he's probably her biggest fan, and his tough as nails, don't-give-a-crap act hides the fact that he's a great big, gooey marshmallow once you get past all of his bullshit. Sammy likes to think of himself as a pacifist due to the fact that the likeliness of him throwing the first punch is just about zero. However, he's not above getting into a fight if the other guy won't back off, but Sammy usually stops himself after he's made his point and the other guy's on the floor. Sammy has a tendency to try and mediate problems, a life saver for when his friends start going at each other's throats. Though rakish and bull headed at times, he has a frequent tendency towards giving others the benefit of the doubt when at the first meeting, and though he's not gullible, he's going to want solid proof that the other guy's not on the level before he'll believe accusations. Despite this attitude, he does have major moments of doubt in regards to his own abilities, but he tries to keep these moments under wraps as much as possible. For the most part, he'd rather everybody thought he was the tough guy with talent for parkour with an occasional glimpse at a softer center.
Human/Tamer Appearance: Though not that old, most people are surprised when they find out Sam is out of his teens. Sammy stands at 6'1" in height, with a lean, wiry build that's more toned than muscled. The guy seems to have a permanent tan, a fact that makes his full grins near blinding in contrast. His face is kind of angular, and his eyes are a ridiculously clear, vivid blue that a mess of shoulder length, dark black hair just brightens even further. He's got four tatts across his cheeks that look kind of like whisker marks, and these whiskers seem to be scrunched up a lot owing to the fact that his devilish grin is pretty much his trademark.
The guy likes to put across the air of being a street wise punk, and his style in clothes just adds to that impression. Sam's jeans are distressed to the point of being just about totally destroyed. The ripping near the cuffs shows plenty of skin, as well as the top edges of his black combat boots. He wears a short sleeved jacket over a white tank; when he feels like he can get away with it, Sam'll just out and out ditch the tank. He's got three bracelets, a pendant, and studs for an extra edge by adding some bling to his look, and he wears a red bandanna under a black baseball cap.
In the first stage of merging with Noct, Sammy still looks mostly like himself, but with a few differences. 1. His hair seems to have gotten more of a gray cast to it, and his eyes shift from blue to vivid yellow. 2. Wings! Well, not your normal wings; seriously, they look kind of like graffiti come to life, which, in Sam's opinion, is totally wicked. 3. Replace his normal jacket with a sleeveless variety that's got shredding where the sleeves used to be. 4. Sammy's arms have long, swirling black tatts up to his biceps. 5. Besides taking on a more muscular appearance, Sammy now has Noct's tail, ears, claws, and a lot sharper, toothier smile. Nice Kitty!
As they gain a stronger affinity for each other, Sam and Noct will be able to do a second, more involved merge, but until they reach that stage, Sammy gets to look like he's part of the furry fandom. X3
Bio: Ah, New York City; or the big Apple Sauce, take your pick. Sammy's quite fond of the later, to tell you the truth. A native of Tennessee, Sammy's in New York cause that's where his chosen college is. So yep, been here for two years, learning the streets, the peeps, and all that jazz. He keeps in touch with his folks with phone calls a couple times a week, and a letter to his sister each week cause he knows she likes that kind of stuff, and tries to maintain a balance between a good GPA and a little fun with the college party scene. Just your typical big city, college student life bs.
Or at least, it would be, if it wasn't for the teensy tiny little inclusion of a great big freaking lion-hiding-as-a-great-big-freaking-cat sharing Sam's apartment. Apparently, there's some kind of war going on between these guys called Tamers and Reapers, or at least that's what Noct's told Sam. Sam's had his share of fights, but he's not exactly looking forward to what even he can see is going to be one long, bloody war.
Sam's been spending the last 18 months trying to find other Tamers and their Spirit partners and help establish some kind of home base for them to use, but the Reapers have been making it pretty damned hard by their constant killing of Sam's teammates. Sam's been able to find two other Tamers that are already bonded to their Spirit partners, one Tamer without their Spirit and one Spirit without their Tamer, but Sam knows their gonna need more if they hope to survive this war. And it looks like the war is on the brink of entering it's next stage. And, to add the cherry to this messy sundae? He's got finals coming up.

Spirit Name: Nocturne, but he usually goes by Noct
Spirit Appearance: Noct is a little WTF on his name. Where the hell does a white lion get off with a name like that?! But yeah, Noct is a white line with blue-gold eyes, a really thick mane, and one other little feature. This king of the jungle's got wings! He loves the air, whether he's prowling through the trees or soaring in the skies, but he's also good with prowling the streets of the urban jungle too. However, when he's gotta deal with civvies, he's careful not to show his true self to them; hey, just cause he's the king doesn't mean he gets a free pass to scaring the living crap out of people. Instead, unless he needs the full power of his lion form, Noct usually hangs out in the form of a white Savannah cat. Hey, just cause he's not scaring people doesn't mean he can't hang out in style, now does it?
Spirit Evolution Power: Savannah Reaper *more info to come... laters*
Weapon: Two words: Knife nut. Sammy prefers working with knives and claws, or turning the knives into claws, take your pick.
Magic:
Earthshaker: Uses seismic energy to cause a small, concentrated earthquake to knock opponents off their feet. Can be maintained and combined with more offensive techniques.
Devil’s Trench: Causes a mild earthquake that will either cause spikes of earth to erupt from the ground or will cause a deep fissure to swallow his opponents.
Devil’s Maw: Opens a fissure in the ground and uses homing spikes of rock to knock opponents into it.
Healing Earth: Sammy can draw energy from the earth, using this borrowed energy to ease hurts and to sharpen his focus when it starts flagging. This technique isn't capable of replacing the effects of a good long rest, but it can keep him going when he really needs it.
Offensive Abilities:
Viper: Uses his dancer's speed and footwork to go in for a lightning fast combo of punches and kicks.
Cobra: A more nasty extension of Viper, Sammy pulls into play knives that he's dipped in a mild toxin. Usually non-lethal, this toxin will temporarily paralyze, slow down, or cause his opponent to fall unconscious. However, the possibility of a more dangerous toxin being applied to the blades may be coming as this game with the Reapers becomes more deadly...
Defense Abilities:
Python: Sammy can toughen his skin, causing it to become nearly impenetrable armor. Takes some doing to maintain, so it can tire him out pretty quick if he tries going beyond ten minutes.
Mamba: Sammy can become virtually invisible with how quick he moves, and he seems to teleport from one location to another in a flash. Very handy for avoiding strikes from the opposition, but Sam moves fast enough that he sometimes can't control where he's going, and can land himself in a very painful situation if he's not careful. This also uses a huge deal of energy, so he can only rely on this technique a few times in any given situation before he has to trust his own abilities of dodging for a while.
