There weren't any shown in the game, but that doesn't mean they didn't exist there. They would fit the default technology level of KH original worlds very well.I don’t recall any VCRs in Daybreak Town. Lol
One of Quadratum's main characteristics is supposed to be that it's hard to get there and even harder to get back. If random objects are able to come through in some way, then shouldn't people (and heartless) also be able to do the same easily? This doesn't add up. Of course there will be some kind of connection in the future, when Sigurd ends up in Quadratum as old man, but that has to be several decades after the beginning of the story.Remember the astral plane connects existence to non-existence.(aka Reality and Unreality.) So the distortions are likely pulling things in from the other side… (including the Player.)

I guess it's still possible that the objects did come from somewhere else through the Astral Plane. We need to learn how the warp worlds work before ruling that out.
Well, I guess it's time to share one of my theories:It’s also worth noting that Quadratum uses Scala language by the time of KH4. So there’s likely going to be more people crossing over at some point during the events of Missing Link. Either thru distortions or… the less pleasant way.
I dunno, I always saw Destiny Islands and Twilight Town as somewhere in the 90s-00s tech range even if the former is more shaky since we never see much of it.I disagree. KH original world tech tends to be fairly abstract and not equivalent to real world tech. I think the only world in the series a VHS tape would really fit is Toy Box since it takes place in the 90’s. It could be from there, but I still think it’s more likely a hint at stuff coming over from the “real world”.
More like mid-80s. In the 90s, microcomputers and mobile phones were already common, and we haven't seen any of those in KH (although I bet Pence owns the equivalent of a Commodore 64).I dunno, I always saw Destiny Islands and Twilight Town as somewhere in the 90s-00s tech range even if the former is more shaky since we never see much of it.
Well, I guess it's time to share one of my theories:
- The astral plane is the real world - Quadratum is in the real world
- Freya says no one exists in the astral plane - Quadratum is full of people
- Scala is full of people in ML - Scala is practically abandoned in DR
Chirithy describes The Final World as the edge of reality that a heart reaches just before vanishing. It is closely intertwined with the Station of Awakening and the realm of sleep. The astral plane is more likely just how the people of this era refer to the Final World. Freya says it bridges existence and non-existence. Quadratum is known to be in the side of non-existence. Not in between, so they aren’t the same thing.
That’s also why the Astral Plane has the same layering effect Yozora uses in the Final World in KH3. The Yozora fight takes place in an illusory version of Quadratum. Afterwards Yozora wakes up in the real Quadratun having slipped into the Final World/Astral Plane in his dreams.

How does your theory fit into that?
Is the Final World made of mental energies then?
Is the Final World connected to reality with distortions, and not with the Station of Awakening and the realm of sleep?
And how does the Quadratum destroyed in the Verum Rex trailer fit into that? Was that fake too?

Roxas has VHS tapes, a television, and CDs in his room in Digital Twilight Town.

Although, Player does specifically refer to ML as their "second life", and Nomura in interviews at least has claimed that Player did melt their heart. So I think they may have ended up in Unreality rather than being reincarnated.
I remember that dialogue. I think it's a conversation between two characters talking about using the lifeboat.Surprised no one seems to be mentioning the fact that there's a quick little line added in the tutorial where unknown voices seemingly talk about sending (i think drifters??) through the lifeboat/ark. I have to assume this is setting up the RG lifeboat and isn't the Daybreak one.
This is the popular theory, and I agree with it. Aside from the fact that they look remarkably similar, Nept is probably short for Neptune, god of the seas, tying him back to the aquatic water themes. I disagree about their personalities though. He seems like a devil-may-care type who takes things far less seriously than Aqua.First is that Nept is Aqua's ancestor (possibly great grandpa). This mainly because both appear to be selfless leaders with a few similar traits (namely blue hair and eyes). I know I'm not the first to suspect this but I think it's a reasonable theory at this point. Also the Baroque Society will play the role of heroic underdogs in the game proper (that's the impression I got from the current beta).
There were actually four Darknesses sealed away in the data world in UX, but I hear you. I also think we haven't seen the last of them.Second is that the reason Scala Al Caleum's population is gone by KH3 is because of the 3 True Darkness that Player X sealed in Union X's finale. We all know that they would come back eventually and what better place than Scala (a country populated by Keyblade Wielders)? Perhaps we'll also learn more about True Darkness and why everyone's afraid of it (besides the obvious threat and being kinda creepy).
I'm hoping so too. I'd love if it was a woman named Gaia.Third I suspect that we'll meet Terra's ancestor and they'll be a faction leader. Not sure if this will be the case or not but I'd like it to be.
