They might as well just scrap this game, honestly. I don't know why it's randomly stuck in development hell but the lack of communication, promo, and just… interest, is kinda horrible. Like I feel like even us die-hard fans kinda stopped giving a f*ck

I think the only way they’re gonna win back the interest of fans is if they have a really strong showing of it in the next reveal. Like having dubbed voice acting, showing Disney worlds that have never been in the series, exciting lore implications, original character reveals, etc.
That and showing it alongside a new KH4 trailer. The hype around the latter would definitely rub off on ML. I don’t think it will be as successful if they wait to show KH4 again until after it releases. This is still a reason I think the game isn’t out yet as they may be trying to release it closer to KH4.

Even if these hypothetical worlds would have never ever been considered to show up in a mainline game, my lizard brain would still feel like we'd been robbed of them being fully realized and that they were wasted on the gacha mobage.

That’s valid. I feel that way about Game Central Station… If it happens, it at least gives them some assets to use if those worlds ever come to a mainline game.
But at least have old worlds that have been completely redesigned in Unreal Engine. I just don’t want to see only KH3 worlds since they’re the only ones currently in UE4.
