Right? It's pretty frustrating that the existing console ports are the inferior versions.

I want to whine about no current gen ports with all of the bells and whistles, but I also think they will wait to port them to current gen when KH4 is closer to releasing in order to maximize reach.

Just made me realise that we still don't have the PlayStation Keyblade available for purchase / download like America does. Forgetting Missing-Link and KH4, this is the true injustice.

A few were finally giving in for an EGS purchase thanks to the recent sales

Melody of Memory being missing is probably just due to EGS exclusivity timing. But maybe there could be a 3.5 in the works with MoM and a new playable Kairi episode a la 0.2.

I think from now console exclusive Keyblades should be inspired by an IP owned by each company. For example:

God of War Keyblade for PlayStation


The Legend of Zelda Keyblade for Nintendo

Halo Keyblade for Xbox

Portal Keyblade for Steam

Fortnite Keyblade for Epic Games Store

Just a few months ago I finally broke down and bought the series on EGS and they all crash for me after about 30 minutes of gameplay. So this is bittersweet. Will I buy it? Yes. But darn.

Honestly I think many were just like me and didnt want another game store app on their computer just for one series of games.

Plus I figured I already owned all the games so there was no rush. Even now I dont know, if I'll get it right away or wait for a sale.

Also, I was not expecting a re-recording of Simple and Clean to be announced, though considering a re-recording of Hikari was on Utada’s Science Fiction album it was probably a matter of time. Still, awesome news to hear

The slow ports years apart is abysmal and I'm so glad Square Enix is abandoning that in favour of day one sales. You want people swept up in the hype and excitement to bite the bullet on the game, not years later with barely a whimper where the highs and lows of the games have been exhausted to death.

Curious to see what KH4's numbers will be if they manage to get it out on as many consoles as possible.
