Kingdom Hearts III Re:Imagined is an ongoing passion-project webcomic created by some fans who grew up with the series. With this webcomic, we aim to overhaul the entire story of Kingdom Hearts III, in order to let other long-time fans experience what we consider to be a more satisfying end to the Dark Seeker Saga.

The Disney worlds will be completely rewritten to be pertinent to the plot, glaring plotholes/ unanswered questions will be stamped-out, and the story will feel less convoluted. But making our comic feel like it could actually be a part of the series was our primary goal, as well as ensuring that our story and script are as respectful/accurate to the series as possible.

As said, this is purely a non-profit passion-project from old fans of the series. We are not professional writers, and to us this is just a fun project that we work on in our down-time. Updates do not have a schedule or estimate time of release, this will certainly take a long time for us to finish (as of writing, this has been in the works for 4 years and we're nowhere near done) But we've had a great time creating it so far, and we're very excited to share our ideas.

At the time of this writing, the first seven chapters are now available. Admittedly, the first three are a little exposition-heavy, as they're acting as the game's intro. But we feel that our Toy Story chapter (chapter 4) is a perfect representation of our goals with this webcomic, so we hope you check it out.

This is really good! A lot of the original writing feels like it could have been ripped straight out of the games, which is achievement to be sure. A lot of the time when I read fanfic I noticed that the dialogue style for characters diverge quite heavily from canon, which always takes me out a bit.

Read through the entire comic this evening and enjoyed my time with it. It certainly has the benefit of knowing about fan expectations, but nonetheless it feels like a great ReMix (ha) of what the original KHIII delivered!

So unfortunately some liberties are taken to not draw every single animation because otherwise this would never be finished lol.

Thank you! That was one of the many big things we wanted to focus on in this retelling - they were such big plot points during the entire series that we felt they deserved more attention/plot relevance.

Not to sound rude but, why can't you just draw a single "walking" frame for each character and use that? You could even flip the model around in each panel to create the illusion that one leg is continually moving in front of the other.

Not rude at all! And that's a very valid point. While I won't redo previous any completed chapters, I'll definitely be implementing more "walking" frames for future ones! I appreciate the feedback!

Haha thanks! Implementing Final Fantasy back into the story was definitely a core thing we wanted to do. And this is just the start of FF we're planning; we want to have it as integral to the story as it was in KH1, so stay tuned for that!

The newest chapter of our comic is up! This is Chapter 7: Confessions.

This chapter introduces the biggest retcon we're going to make in this comic series. It really isn't that big of a change, but understandably, some readers might wonder what motivated us to make this retcon.
