Well, I’m not a mod and I didn’t create this thread, soooo…Chaser? Sign? Dandelion? Spockanort?
This is staying open for all pre-release spoiler discussion.
I understand the worries, but it keeps everything contained and that’s ultimately what we need. We don’t want to have to moderate a bunch of different threads or people thinking it’s okay to have spoilers outside of the spoiler section, which is what was going on last week.I don’t agree with having one thread for all spoilers. A thread should be made for different events. But I agree yea this should stay open.

Spoiler ShowXehanort and the 13 Keyblades used to open the box. If this turns out true, I actually like it, particularly the last bit with Roxas. And I like the idea that we might visit Olympus two different times--once at the start and then again later, just because I don't want the Titans to be all wimpy because Olympus is the first world.
No new Disney worlds. Though according to 4chan we visit them a second time, with the exception of 100 Acre woodsYou guys need to be careful on what you call bs from 4chan leaks. Same thing happened with XV and it was real. What does it say about worlds?
That contradicts Nomura outright saying that we only visit Disney Worlds 1 time. Any chance anyone has asked about the length of the game?
Although it could be similar to the sequence in EOW in KH where you revisit the worlds technically once only to unlock the path to the final battle.
I have zero interest in reading plot spoilers.
Let's make sure that we cite sources when we make sweeping claims like that. I hate to be "that guy", but it's important to give evidence for your point when it's a quote that obscure, ya know?

So we visit Destiny Islands multiple times in cutscenes aside from the cutscene of Sora finding Master Keeper? I'm hoping it has something to do with clues centered around Xehanort since it is his homeworld after all
I'm still hesitant to believe these leaks, but after some thought I admit that these are far more plausible then the previous 4chan rumor.
I just wanted to say: yes. I've felt this way since development of the worlds started being showcased with an emphasis on how "big" and "open" the worlds are. Granted, I crave exploration, and I don't like how KH2's worlds feel so small and railed in, but I also don't like the idea of Disney worlds that go on, and on, and on, especially if the narrative contained within them isn't substantial enough to carry the sheer scope of each world. I don't want to go through hour long stretches in which nothing story-centric happens just because Nomura and the team decided one room needs to constitute an endless maze of side content and the same redundant task of searching out hidden treasure chests which are hard to find not because of their selective placement or the skills required to access them, but because they're tucked in one lonely corner of a gigantic world that takes forever and a day to traverse. Also not a fan of packing in filler bosses just because; if the only way to justify the hugeness of the level structure is to punctuate it with forced boss fights that don't advance the plot, then that "open world" approach has become a liability.Because larger and longer doesn't mean it will be a better product overall.
Wow, if it's not true there are at least a couple of insights which make it sound really convincing.this /v/ leak sound super legit
Spoiler ShowThe entirety of Roxas's involvement sounds really believable, especially the detail with Xion's heart being inside of him. It would explain how he's able to dual wield as shown in the trailer, given that Ven's heart has almost certainly been returned to him at that point, and it would also lean into a thought I've always held that at least part of Xion remained with Roxas after her sacrifice at the end of Days. All Sora needed to awaken were the memories of Kairi which made up the basis of Xion's existence, but it's important to keep in mind that she was a replica of Roxas: if she were to have developed a heart, upon her "death" it would make sense for it to have taken refuge within Roxas, much like Kairi's and Ven's took refuge within Sora due to their previously established connections. I think her heart itself will also be the key to restoring her: when Namine initially told Xion she would not be able to keep a single part of the memory of her intact, neither of them were aware that Nobodies and Replicas could gain hearts. From Namine's point of view, Xion was just a shell based on borrowed memories, and once the physical form that held the chains of those memories together was gone, the entirety of Xion's person would disappear with them. But as a being with a heart, that one piece of her would have remained, and my guess is that's all Namine needs to put the links back together.
The other part that has me raising my eyebrows is the subplot and twist surrounding Terra. The fact that Terranort was shown being confronted by the Lingering Will in a trailer leads me to believe there must be a twist to that whole dynamic, and it would be just like Nomura to play on our expectations that the armor must of course be empty if we see Terra's body outside of it, and then find a way to upend the logical conclusion. The fact that it apparently relies on BSing the extent of Namine's powers by having her do something nobody would have ever even theorized her to be capable of only makes it that much more believable. And then there's the way the thread author describes the Keyblade Graveyard sequence as a matter of the game "trying to one-up itself every 2 minutes," which just sounds like the whole thesis of KH3 at this point.

Spoiler Show> Story structure
Like in past KH games, as you keep playing the Disney worlds and the main Sora trip, you keep getting cutscenes of what is happening behind the scenes with other characters. In this game there are like, 4 plot threads running along the adventure: what the organization is doing, what happens in Hollow Bastion, what Riku and Mickey are doing and Axel & Kairi. The majority of the Organization cutscenes come after story expositions. The Riku and Mickey stuff is more present in the early/half point of the game or so. And the Axel & Kairi are used as some sort of "cliffhanger" to the main story. When something important happens or is revealed, it usually cuts to "meanwhile..." and there's Axel and Kairi dialogue.
> Story flow
Will explain later, but the game goes like this. Since you keep visiting worlds like Twilight Town or Yen Side a few times I might have confused the order a bit, but it's representative at least. Beginning segments > Hercules > Twilight Town > Toy Story > Monsters > Riku chapter > Frozen > Tangled > Twilight Town and Pooh (Pooh might be earlier, before Frozen... don't recall very well, sorry) > Hercules > Pirates > Big Hero > bunch of short cutscene revisits to Destiny Islands, HB... ends up in Castle Oblivion > Keyblade Graveyard > Roxas chapter > End World > Twilight Town > End World
> Beginning of the game
The game starts with the regular dive into the heart as other titles. You get a "in past KH titles" quick summary in this but I took it more as a wink to the fans than something that someone who didn't play the old titles would watch to be up to date for the story. When you complete this short introduction, the game cuts to the end of the BBS2 prologue, the same cutscenes and all. You travel to Hercules first, then a short trip to Twilight Town, you get the new clothes at Yen Sid (Mysterious Tower) and then you can begin the Disney world expedition.
> Riku and Mickey
At the start of the game, they get tasked with looking for Aqua in the dark realm. Once you complete Monsters Inc, the game cuts to the playable Riku section. It's very short: the last area of the BBS2 prologue gets repurposed into his playable section and instead of leading up to Destiny Islands, he ends up in the dark beach. Aqua has stored all the darkness and Ansem is not there. Riku and Mickey go against her but she wins easily. Riku then tries to use his power to release Aqua's darkness but it ends up failing and the darkness creates a dark void and Aqua disappears. Her heart sends her keyblade away in search for Sora.
> Aqua
Later in the game it's revealed that she got visited by fake Ansem before the story started since the organization needed the real Ansem to find Roxas. Aqua gets defeated and is left to her fate after Vanitas appears and tells her that Xehanort has come back and the plan has already been set in motion. After Riku unleashes Aqua's darkness, she ends up inside Castle Oblivion but can't escape since she is not able to summon her keyblade.
> The last Organization members
At the start of the game, the Organization loses track of one of their members, making them 11 remaining. They send to reach for Even, who has shown to hold a weak heart after his return to human form. They turn Even into one of them and they task him with bringing Xion back. It's implied that the real Xion is not her but this is actually... not explained very well at all in the game. Supposedly Xion grew a heart in the past and that heart is with Roxas, but everyone acts like the new Xion replica is the actual her brought back. And this is really not explained at all.
> The fake climax
It's revealed that Terra was the missing Organization member. Before the game started, reacting to Aqua's fate thanks to Naminé's will being inside Kairi (I know it sounds complicated, will try to explain it longer later), Terra regains consciousness. Naminé manipulates a fake Terra-Xehanort to mess with the Organization while the real Terra is in the armor. (The fake Terra-Xehanort does not know himself that he doesn't exist and all of this happens while Naminé heart is inside Kairi...) After everyone has returned, the clash at the Keyblade Graveyard happens. The heroes are heavily outnumbered and even if they manage to defeat (but not kill) a few Organization members, the battle ends up turning against them.
> fake climax (cont)
After most of the heroes are defeated, Xehanort brings out the black box seen in the BBS2 prologue and "betrays" the Organization by extracting his piece of heart from them, making 13 copies of his keyblade. He uses the 13 keyblades to open the box, and the box swallows the hearts of the heroes (Kairi, Ven, Terra, Donald, Mickey... etc). Roxas appears to save Sora from Xeha, and he flees to the place seen during the start of the game, the castle in which he lived with Eraqus
> Roxas
It's revealed that Ansem's plan during KH2 was to ultimately make Roxas return to Soras willingly knowing that Roxas already stored his own heart. By hiding this fact from both Roxas and Sora, Roxas would return to Sora the pieces of his heart pertaining to Sora. After the KH2 ending, Roxas' heart ended up in the data Twilight Town because of his warm memories. He spends the majority of the game there, hidden. Ansem stored Roxas' location inside Sora, along with the reveal that he, among others, grew their own heart. Later in the game when Sora visits the data Twilight Town, Roxas avoids him since he learns that the Org has returned. During the fake climax of the game at the Keyblade Graveyard Roxas reappears to save Sora and you revisit small portions of the the seven Disney worlds as him looking for the wayfinders. As you get a wayfinder, you get a cutscene of Xehanort playing chess representing the game so far, leading up to Sora being left alone. Then Eraqus puts the Roxas piece on the board.
