I thought it did too. I also think it's ludicrous to call it character assassination. Xehanort knew she was down there. He knows where Ven is. It makes sense that something happened to her down there. I feel like everyone is jumping to conclusions without... waaait for it.... PLAYING THE DAMN GAME.

Xehanort knew she was down there, but unlike Mickey, who had an established method of finding her from 0.2, Xehanort wouldn't have had a clue where she was within the RoD, nor should he have been able to find her so easily (Ansem SoD was only recently brought back into the present day after all). It's not like these complaints are coming out of nowhere. It simply just doesn't have the proper set up or foundation for it to make sense without making a whole lot of thin assumptions, imo at the very least.

But you just proved my point. We don't know what leads up to any of this. I feel that they ARE coming out of nowhere. You're under the assumption that Ansem is there. Did he come alone? Why is she without Keyblade? There's no proper set up because we simply don't have all the information. All of this talk about character assasination and we still don't have all of the information. Why isn't Ansem the Wise present? How did he escape? How did Ansem SoD find her? What did/does Vanitas plan to do to Aqua in LoD? What happens to Aqua after Sora saves her? You're all assuming Aquas character is done for when we simply dont have anything to go on besides less than a minutes worth of cutscenes involving her.

0.2s ending and KH3s teases of her outcome are obviously going to be addressed and very well might be her arc for KH3. Again, to claim character assassination so soon would be asinine.

That is called theorizing and usually a normal thing to do, including the personal opinion on it if it should turn out to be true.

It only gets somewhat weird if some stuff is already treated as set-in-stone fact without taking into consideration possible other influencing factors from context that isn't known yet.

People need to keep their expectations in-check. It's cringey to read areas of the internet where people have not been spoiled. They're expecting the game to be akin to Xenoblade Chronicles, where the main campaign is very long, and KH's main story has always been between 30 to 40 hours between original and Disney plots. The game would need an additional five to fifteen hours in order to fulfill everyone's expectations.

That's why I have said in-depth discussions. Theories are fine and fun because we don't know the whole picture, but sometimes I'm reading assertions, not theories.

lol I think it's a little late to be talking about expectations anymore. Just because the people reading spoilers have become numb now and moved past the anger stage of "this f-ing sucks" into acceptance doesn't mean anything. Wait for the average person reacting post-Jan 29th to watch it all begin again.

It hurts a little to see on the Kingdom Hearts Twitter page how many people replied to the "Sora Selfies" they showed with "Wow Twilight Town looks huge!" or "Can't wait to explore it all over again!" since from the selfie they showed it really, really looks like you can get to the clock tower.

I really am thankful for these leaks, I know I'll love the game more going in without the expectations I had before. So many little things may have soured my experience while playing completely blind, at least I can now go in with an idea of how much the game has since those "disappointments" had time to sink in.

none of these are mutually exclusive. And as far as the 70 hour of gameplay goes, he is going through the game again to do a walkthrough for gamefaqs

It seems he was asked about Namine as well, and even though he wanted to answer, he didn't as it would be against his morals. However, he said that we'd have to wait and see because he wasn't spoiling anything. He also said that his friend who also had the game told him that when you reach the Graveyard, you're only 60-70 percent done with the story. He also said that we're in for a rollercoaster.

Something fishy's going on here.

That part of about the Graveyard fits what the OG leaker said about San Fransokyo being about the halfway point of the game.

Yeah, I would take his words with a bucket of salt, he did post a picture of the game case and disc, but that doesn't mean anything in the long run of things.

I don't think there's any denying that after BH6 it only takes a few hours to finish the game. Our main leaker tweeted "let's finish this" with a small BH6 video, only to then tweet he was done a few hours later. It's not even lying on his part, I really do believe, from his tweets, the game ends around two or three hours after the Keyblade Graveyard.
