Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Sells an Estimated 505K Units First Week at Retail - VGChartz

The Kingdom Hearts collection from Square Enix - Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue - sold 505,193 units first week at retail on the PlayStation 4, according to our estimates. First week sales can be viewed on the VGChartz USA Weekly Chart and VGChartz Europe Weekly Chart for the week ending January 28, and the VGChartz Japan Weekly Chart for the week ending January 15.

Breaking down the sales by region, the game sold best in the US with 198,762 units sold (39%), compared to 135,626 units sold in Japan (27%) and 88,491 units sold in Europe (18%). Looking more closely at Europe, the game sold an estimated 14,548 units in the UK, 22,217 units in Germany, and 8,441 units in France. The game has also sold 374,494 units in Japan.

Yeah, VGChartz is not exactly the most trustworthy of sources, but to have such a discrepancy in just one article... The 135,626 figure is more consistent with the numbers on the rest of the site, though.

But for real, good to know the game sold well, even if there is a discrepancy, lol. Tbh I was slightly worried since even though 0.2 is a KH3 demo and completely brand new alongside Back Cover, for casual fans it seemed the least enticing compared to 1.5 and 2.5 since the only full game in the collection is DDD, a 3DS title.

Curious to know how 1.5+2.5 sells, though.

Is it comparing first week sales (135,626) to total sales (374,494)? That's how I read it.
