I am excited about 0.2 and the trailer of it was nice. However, it kind of sucks its only on the PS4, which kind of feels like an ominous sign for future games on certain consoles again. I do think its good all around for those who are new to the series and haven't played the series before, but it feels like wasted money for those of us who eventually caved in and bought DDD for the 3DS, or those who invested the money to play KH [Chi] on the phone.

I would hope that nobody actually purchased an iPhone or Android only to play Unchained and did so for a variety of other reasons. Unchained is F2P, for the record.

I know Unchained x [Chi] is new, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was also playable on the phone or happens to be on the phone already. Just seems like a way to make more money and keep us waiting for KH3. I guess I'm more pessimistic about this than I thought I'd be.

Sorry, I don't think I'm understanding this properly, but Unchained is playable exclusively on iOS/Android. It's already been released in Japan as well, so if you're willing and able to give it a try, I highly recommend it. It's quite fun.

Yeah Kitkat. I am still hoping for a full english release of Chi, and since I already had a smart phone b/c I had to switch carriers when Grandma died *smiles at her Samsung Galaxy Light* I prolly won't have to pay anything unless I choose to upgrade my phone. Hopefully it's Android Jellybean comparable though since T-Mobile has been slow to give us the Android Kitkat update. (Yes, ironic considering your name, but that's the way Android is!)

It seems like Back Cover will give the most pertinent information on the Foretellers and the Book of Prophecies but if you want the full scope of the story you'll probably have to play Unchained X.

I'm speaking from bias, but the game is addictive and fun.

It seems like Back Cover will give the most pertinent information on the Foretellers and the Book of Prophecies but if you want the full scope of the story you'll probably have to play Unchained X.

This seems a little gun-jumpy. What? What needs to be resolved? They need to save the lost ones in and out of Sora's heart. I'm sure that'll happen, they're needed for the final fight if done correctly this can be solved really quickly.

Then the battle of the 13 vs. 7. It's looking like the Foretellers are relevant to that. We still don't know all of the darknesses, having them or Ephemera fill a few seats would help instead of introducing totally new characters or contriving the spots to ones who don't make sense.

Maleficent and Pete? Their story arc looks like it's wrapped up in the Book of Prophecies, again from X, and if they're going to be relevant again I'd rather it be with plot-relevant gusto.

So we have maybe three major plot points, and for all we know they could all deal with lore/characters from X. Wasn't everyone saying just a few months ago that they didn't want KH3 introducing new characters and subplots? Establishing them all in 2.8 and X seems like a good way to avoid the clutter you're fearing.

- Why MX didn't return as Terranort.

- Who the rest of the 13 and 7 are, as well as giving them all some screentime. That's 20 characters already.

- How Ansem knew Sora and Riku were coming back in time to the DI, which should've been answered in 3D but wasn't, so here's hoping.

- Explanation of Terranort's amnesia, because it's still unclear past the point that it should've been. If he really had it, for how long, or if not, why fake it, and why take Ansem's name. Questions of that nature.

- Some time for Kairi would be great, especially with the 3D stinger.

- Lea obviously has to train as well, and you know they'll showcase him, plus his whole subplot with Isa.

- YX and young Eraqus look like some of their story will be told as well.

- What Braig is up to. I haven't watched the 2.5 secret ending yet, but I hear he's skulking around.

- Then on top of that, the stuff you said.

All things that either need to be covered, are being covered, or I really hope will be. And that's just off the top of my head. These things take time. You can't just gloss over them. At least I hope Nomura doesn't.

I wouldn't let that preconceived notion of the game hold you back from playing it. It's already been made, it exists, it's not going anywhere, and it has entertainment value. Either you accept that it is something that will play a role in KH3 or be lost when this information comes up in KH3.

I think the first option is the better of the two, especially when you get a fun game out of it. Play it. If you don't like it, then whatever is worth knowing for KH3 will be shown in the Back Cover movie and any other information from chi will be readily available to know about from our website.

To resent a game is really odd to me.

Many of the mysteries you refer to aren't huge ones that will take long periods of time to explain. That doesn't mean KH3 doesn't have room for more of its own story and the added stuff from chi.

First people wanted to know about the Keyblade War. Now that we are getting stuff about the Keyblade War, nobody wants it? I'm so confused.

I'd actually be willing to put down money that this will be answered in an Ansem Report or an interview. If it's answered in game, it can probably be done so in a line of exposition.

We probably won't know the final line up until the fight actually happens, but how much screen time are you expecting? Enough for them to do something in the plot, sure. This doesn't negate what I said about the Foretellers or Ephemera being involved. Since the only bit of plot-exposition we've heard at all in trailers is about what happened during X, I think it's fine if we're finding out more about that lore.

Ansem was on the island at the time and saw one pair of Sora and Riku leave the island. If he watched two pairs of them, he probably pieced it together and went back in time after seeing Sora and Riku enter the sleeping realm. It can be that simple.

Personally, this is the most worthless and boring mystery of the KH series to me BUT Nomura's been so vague about this that I can understand why it's driving people crazy but at the same time it probably doesn't have any actual significance to the overall plot. Most of what you want resolved seems like it could be wrapped up in a three minute monologue.

Some time for Kairi would be great, especially with the 3D stinger.

When I was talking about the 7 v 13 fight above, I just kind of thought that giving them all screen time was implicit in that it shouldn't even be an issue whether we're giving them screentime and diving into their stories a little bit. With Kairi especially this is already implied by the secret ending and it calling her another guardian of light. This is one of the few things in KH3 that I'm not worried about.

We seem to have the opposite problems here. I think all of these subplots and character developments can and should be done easily with good writing and not have it take up the total of the 40 + hours of gameplay. I can see why you're worried, but I'm going to assume that Nomura and crew have learned their lessons and can juggle everything accurately.

With 3D we've already seen that Nomura's gotten a bit better with weaving plots surrounding other characters between disney worlds, there's absolutely no excuse as to why they can't do so in them as well.

I'm unbelievably excited about Birth By Sleep 0.2, it's something i've been hoping for since the secret ending first got out.

In fact, my first post to these forums was about Birth By Sleep Volume II, many moons ago. I thought it would never happen.
But now it is! :biggrin:
