I wouldn't really call that a remake of Days then since all they did was take the mission and story and completely change the gameplay to something like BbS or DDD.

Well that's true but it would probably make most happier, also I did say multiplayer as in just a remake of the multiplayer.

True but the effort would've been tantamount to making a whole new game.
The plan was initially to re-haul the entire game and recreate it, but realizing how much time that would take they decided to just go with totally redone cutscenes.

While I admit it would be nice solely for the fact that the multiplayer (if it wasn't just ad-hoc) would be extremely entertaining, I see it as highly unlikely that they would do that.

I'd see the Command desk absolutely being great for multiplayer, there could be such a diversity and if it were on the PS3 I couldn't really see them going ad-hoc. Yeah it is very unlikely, but I'd love it if they made a spin-off game like this.

Well, the only problem I fear is that "diversity" would end up becoming one or two commands which are overly powerful. I mean, the KH games have never really been balanced when it comes to commands, with Mega Flare always being nearly too powerful (beating Marluxia easily with only Mega Flares should have told you to it was too good but then BbS solidified that) and then in BbS it just became an endless battle of who could cast Magnega, Aeroga, Curaga, or Salvation first for the most part.

Well I would hope they'd balance that one a little better I mean I get that some attacks would need to be stronger than others but still, there should be no one hitters.

One hitters aren't the problem, the problem, even with Flick Rush in DDD lies in those attacks that interrupt you and make you unable to move for an extended period of time. That is what Magnega, Aeroga, and a lot of Ryu Dragon (who is considered one of the best if not the best DE in Flick Rush) can do. Once they attack or go into effect, you are pretty much paralyzed, even for a few seconds while the opponent recharges their command or uses something else.

Okay, yeah that's a real problem but I don't see it as something that the developers couldn't solve.

It isn't something they can't solve, it is more a problem of time. Like in fighting games, the developers have to go and test it out and tweak anything and everything that isn't fair. However, in KH, because multiplayer isn't the main focus, I find it often seems as if it is done somewhat lazily. I'm not saying it isn't great, all KH multiplayer things have been great in theory, but in actuality, I don't think any of them live up to the potential they could have.

KH's main point should always be single player so I understand the lack of focus, but I'd rather they only do something if they are going to do it well. Days, BbS, and DDD right off the start have problems with only being ad-hoc only without extra support (like Ad Hoc Party for the PS3). Second, Days had the problem of the characters being terribly balanced. Tiers were all to easy to make in that game, with Zexion sadly being on the bad end of that with Lexaeus and a few others. BbS had command balancing issues with Mega Flare when it came to hoards of enemies, Magnega and Aeroga too powerful against humans, and Curaga too good when dealing with humans because it healed too much health back. DDD on the last hand, well, Ryu Dragon is too good when flying with Dragon Breath, and Zolephant was too good with Rock Smash against computers.

Gripes are easily found in the multiplayer of the games, but I'm still thankful they implemented them. Everything has to start somewhere and I am very confident that KH will eventually get the multiplayer that it deserves :)

Yeah you're right the multiplayer in KH is kind of lazily done, but as you said it's not the main focus.

I kind of feel that they're only including multiplayer because it's become so demanded for video games to have. I also don't think their multiplayer is terribly done, just as you stated unbalanced. Which if they invested more time into it, it is not something they can't over come.

I agreed it does have to start somewhere and I feel KH has the potential for a really fun multiplayer experience. I think we'll eventually get a really good multiplayer. Though I'd prefer them to leave it out, if it'll hurt the single player.

I don't think multiplayer is exepcted in games nowadays, heck, all the Final Fantasy XIII's don't have multiplayer and they are getting along just fine on PS3. Personally, if they do a poor job on the multiplayer, they'll only get crap from the raters who will in turn affect some people who are on the fence about getting the game.

I'm not really sure why they don't realize their multiplayer mistakes in each game, but I do hope that if they include a type of multiplayer in KH3 (I think they will, every new game to come out since Days has had some type of multiplayer like feature in it), I do hope it is good -__-
