Firstly I’d just like to say hello as I’m new here and this will be my first post, so I’ll get on with it.

Dark Solider is Xehanort?
There are a number of reasons why I believe this the first one being...
- Lets say for example that Dark Solider was the apprentice of Master Xehanort, and that after the battle with the three keyblade masters had happened Dark Solider was the only one to escape. And so he decided to claim he had forgotten his past so he wouldn't have to reveal who he was and used his Masters name (The only link I could find here is that His Heartless took the name of Ansem and so for some reason he likes to take his masters names??)

- Secondly Master Xehanort knew the secrets of Kingdom Hearts and Dark Solider might have longed for the power, but Master Xehanort never revealed how to gain the power of Kingdom Hearts to Dark Solider, and so all he knew was that Kingdom Hearts was in some way linked to the power of hearts. This would explain why he went and worked under the scientist Ansem so he could do some research into hearts and try to find the secrets of Kingdom hearts, and in doing so he created the Heartless and nobodies.

- The next point might be that once Xehanort's Heartless discovered how to gain the power of Kingdom Hearts he took the image of his former Master, wearing the same gear, and lets say that he wanted to have an apprentice as he was to Master Xehanort and that could be why Riku's gear looks so much like that of Dark Solider.

- Next we see in the Kingdom hearts secret ending that Dark Soldier used a keyblade meaning he could be a keyblade master and that would explain why his heartless was able to maintain memories and his mind.

So there are the reasons I believe Dark Solider is the man who's heartless and Nobody are the main Bad guys in Kingdom Hearts I & II.

Before I end this I want to bring up one last thing, I was reading a Nomura interview and he was asked "Did that scene (Secret Ending) happen in the future or in the past?" And he said:

I would at least say it's an episode in the past, but.... Hmm, how should I say this? It's in the past but you can also think it's in the future, something like that

And this is what I think he was talking about; some people think that in some way Terra is a bad Guy or evil because he is so filled with hate. Well I think that the destiny of the keyblade master might be to cause destruction and that Birth by sleep shows how a Keyblade can cause such destruction. And that Kingdom Hearts 3 Will be about Sora's battle with his own temptation to destroy of become evil in someway.

Yeah a lot of that makes sense. Well about the very ending about the scene in the past but in the future he could mean that it takes place in the past but the scene will be seen again in the the future lol idk. Or maybe they are in some kind of in between dimension where they are in the future and in the past which explains why mickey is there and has a keyblade already.

This theory is well thought out, but he was talking about BBS, which in actuality takes place in the past.

Another thing is that Xehanort's memories are propminent to the story of BBS, so I don't think he was faking the whole time.

great job... the whole dark soldier theory sounds very legit... but your mind is going pretty far with the timeline... this is in the past, but the characters are all also somehow linked to what will happen in the future... it is that easy.

Imo, this is doesn't work, due to the fact that Xehanort shares common physical and mental similiarities with both MX and Terra...
And like PMF said, I doubt Xehanort was faking...

Yeah, but you could say the same for MX...
Saying Xehanort did loose his memories and MX being apart of him, I would think Xehanort would naturally be drawn back to KH...

I doubt Xehanort's Heartless could pick up MX's clothes at the local stores...
And the fact that both Xehanort and Xemnas wear the exact same boots as MX more or less kills this point...

If MX was the master, I would assume the DS is the apprentice... Since it's those two which are assumed to be the missing master and apprentice... So, if anyone was a master, it was MX...

I think it would be more logical to assume what he ment is that the past will repeat itself, possibily in KH3...

sounds good, cuz DS is just another imatation of MX thats what i think cuz i think MX can separate his heart to create pure blood heartless
