Note: I was given permission by Zabazu, original creator of the role-play, to make this thread.

Slowly drifting down... surrounded by what appeared to be water. Descending towards a stained glass platform, your own two feet had finally set themselves on it. A group of birds were startled, flying away as their reaction and revealed an image on the platform. As you stand there a mysterious voice rang in your head.

"Follow your heart..."

The words repeated itself over and over again before speaking once again. "The Keyblade will soon be yours... use it for the sake of good... or for the sake of evil..." Within seconds a strange looking weapon which looked like a cross between a key and a sword appeared in your hand like magic. Soon the sight of shadows rising up from the floor was scene and at the moment, you wake up from the dream.

Destiny Islands...

A place where young teens go to get away from adults and enjoy the peaceful setting the island had to offer. It was the perfect place to blow off some steam as well as letting all of your worries drift away. The most visited part of the island, however, would be the Secret Cave. Its walls were full of drawings that the teens had carved with various pieces of rocks. But... the cave had a reputation of its own, as well as a mystery behind it.

Deep within the cave lied a door with no door knob. It was just there and it showed no ways of opening it. But why was a door just lying there? What was beyond that door? Was there even a way to open it? If so, how? So many questions were left unanswered....

However, this wasn't the only thing that was being talked about among the teens who played on the islands. A certain group of teens recalled having dozens of weird dreams lately, yet they can't explain it. What they didn't know was the dreams were connected to a bunch of events that will soon change their lives.

"What if a whole different cast had been on the island when their world was destroyed, and Sora, Riku and Kairi had never set foot on Destiny Islands. Or what if they never existed in the first place? Would the same had happened?

What if in the beginning two identical Keyblades were given to two people with strong hearts. One person, set for the path of destruction while the other set for a helpful path and led a group of key-wielders across the worlds. Would the destructive one seek out to destroy the worlds while crossing paths with the peaceful Keyblader? Would the peaceful one meddle too much? Would they split apart because of ethics? I guess it's up to you to decide..."


Okay this Rp takes place during Kingdom Hearts one, except with a whole new cast of characters. So that pretty much means no Sora, Kairi, Riku. However... I'll allow the FF characters to remain in the story as well as Ansem.

- Twilight Citadel-
Twilight town's mansion, before it became run-down. It was the basis of twilight town. A large decrepit spire in the back is where we end up. It seemingly is hidden by tall and old trees. It seems to reach the sky, as it peaks from the woods. All of us on the top level. We eventually form bonds, and figure out how to use the keyblade to open the locked doors before us(two different rooms, one can be the light team, and the other the dark. Or just mixed). We search the huge palace, Then we go to the town, and a mysterious man stops us. One team is teleported to Traverse Town. The other stays there, mystified. Either team could be the one who stays.

-Alternative Earth: Manhatten-
the city has been deserted; swept away by the heartless. The surviving human populace of this world live in Anti-Heartless cities that have barriers around them.

-Hirferta-
A feudal war-ravaged world, called Hiferta, the undead roam freely. The heartless is just a minor annoyance to them... for now. The capital is Keriston, a large; fortified city, with many trained paladins, and warriors meant to kill undead. The trees and most land around it are charred, and sickly. There is a slight smog around these areas, which are breeding grounds for more undead. Be cautious there.

- A world of twisted fairy tales, accessed by a book. Hansel and Gretel, Robin Hood, and King Arthur are the only ones available at the time.

-Light's Refuge-
A important place for all of those who love, and cherish the light. This is a world unknown to all but those virtuous of heart. But those of corruption can easily trick their way into there if they are talented enough. Everyone there seems to care about others, and most of the populace are healers, or holy men. Everyone there is almost too friendly for comfort, and almost nothing can be done without them knowing. The strange thing though is that they do not care about the state of other worlds. The heartless is a major threat to them, but it is covered up by officials to the main populace.

-City of the Shadows-
This horrid place is for those attuned to darkness, for they are the only ones who can truly appreciate the twisted structures, and strange markings along the street. Mindless drunks walk around, and the police are brutal, not caring about anything but their own personal gain. A kingpin controls the city; and he was the one who attracted the heartless. No one cares if those of light are there though. They don 't care about anything.

- Restaurant at the End of the Universe -
A restaurant that is at the end of time, and the universe, enveloped in a time bubble, that allows you to watch the galaxy around you explode. It is very expensive, and you can get back to the normal time via time warp. It's all very simple really.

- Traverse town -
Defeat the guard armor, and confront Malificent for the first time. Also fight an unknown boss.

- Refuge of Heroes -
A place where valiant warriors take rest, and eat well. They seemingly regain all health, and strength as they enter. Most who leave even say they feel stronger after. It takes form as a tavern. They go to here befoer the end. No heartless can ever enter.

- City of Heroes-
A city filled with all the heroes of legend, from comics to movies. No hero is left from this world. Marvel to DC. Even Manga.

Personality:
Ken tries to be quiet; and such, but sometimes he cannot control himself; and
Talks excessively. He is a bit wacky, and tries to joke almost too often. However, he knows when to really be quiet. He is somewhat loyal; and would put his life on the line for another. Nevertheless, one may question that to be either stupidity or courage. He is somewhat gullible, and believes almost anything he is told.

He loves to listen to music, play video games, and watch comedy and action movies. Most of which are Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. He is quite the party animal whenever given the opportunity to do so, and has only gotten drunk twice. He reads, and he enjoys fantasy the most. Dragon lance is a must read for himself, and he reads every new book in the series.

He dislikes idiots, of which he can be himself sometimes without realizing it. Though when he notices it, he becomes quiet. Even though he listens to lots of music, he hates the rap kind, and those who think they are black because they listen to it 24/7. He also dislikes having to listen for long periods to people who want to beat him up, and try to describe how they will do so.

Appearance/Armor:
A woolen cap; with green and brown strips adorn his head. Made of wool. Then he wears fingerless leather gloves he found on the streets right before he gained the keyblade. He wears tan Cargo pants, and a green shirt with a tan graphic of a wolf. Over that, he wears a brown leather jacket that is weather-resistant. Made of strong and shiny leather.

He stands at a height of 5'10", and weighs around 147 lbs. His eye color is a strange, but yet strong color of hazel. He has slightly muscular frame broad shoulders, and a wide jaw. His hair- color is Brown; with a hint of strawberry blonde. Of which has proved useful in schoolyard fights, and such.

He also has a serious and stern look on his face most of the time. He has a long scar across his forearm from an accident as a child. His hair is worn short. Him smiling is rare; even if he laughs; he is not smiling. His face seems to be an impenetrable fortress, revealing no emotion other than anger and pain, which is the most often occurring. Amusement is also rare for him, but it is shown.

Keychain name: Knight's blade
It's blade is sharp, pure black, with white symbols upon the blade. Running up and down the blade, gold vine-like strings run up and down the blade. For the Key-prongs, an axe blade juts out. It resembles a halberd because of the axe-blade. This is also black, with a golden edge. A spearhead seemingly juts out of the top of the blade. The spear is shorter, and is adorned with a gold burnish; like the rest of the blade. The keychain is of a simple metal coin, with a large square in the middle.

His other weapons that he had brought with him are a simple pocketknife; with a scissor, nail file, a pen, and a small LED light. A long 7' knife he brought with him to the site, with its handle made out of smooth elk horn. Last, he has a small revolver he took from his father’s gun cabinet, with 10 extra bullets to use other than the six that are loaded.

Skills thus far:
- Minor Martial Arts skill- He can defend melee-wise, and can quickly counter-attack. He also can perform long chains of attacks. Later when he gains minor magic’s he performs magic enhanced melee attacks.
- Endurance- he can run far distances and fight for long without getting too tired. He can also jump higher, and climb easily since he keeps in shape.

- can enhance the performance and ability of the keyblade; using objects of either magic or metallic to fuse with it for a period. Such examples would include adding a fire element from Ken's magic to fuse with it, and augment it. Alternatively, a piece of metal that is slightly longer than the blade can elongate it.
(More to be learned, this is just a basic view of what could come.)


History:

Ken was born to a loving mother and father; who put up with his antics for a long time. Their names were Bill, and Sandra Smith, and were very productive and kind to Ken, letting his imagination grow. Even though he annoys them at times, they still love him. His sister; Nicole who is two years older is annoyed and does not get along with him. His childhood was average, and bullies were common. Overall, he led a normal life. As a child; going to a forest to play. A stream and a bridge being near the clearing the stream was actually in the middle of the forest, giving it a scenic feel to it. Which was unlike the otehr kids, who went to the island.

Since he was in football, in high school, he made sure to train with weights every other day, and to make sure to stay in shape. He also trains with his father; who is a black belt, so he has a basic understanding of melee fighting. He learned in a school for martial arts until he was 11. He now, as a high schooler does sports, tries to get the girls, and fails at both. He never really minds though, since he leads a good life. He is in drama, and has learned to be a convincing actor. He uses this at times he finds to be appropriate.

He has several friends; and tries to have a social life, of which he has not yet been able to have. He grew up in suburbia, so he had a great education and a small view on the world until he grew older. He now is a believer in karma, and sees instances of it everyday. He lately though; have been seeing odd occurrences; and has noticed things. Very strange things.
Like shadows; running around without people to create them, and strange yellow eyes glowing in the night. Tonight, Ken feels a strange attraction though; to the island.

Name: Midnight

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Personality: Midnight is a shy and withdrawn sort of teen, but just because of that doesn't mean that she doesn't know how to have fun, but she has it by herself. She has a sort of past that she doesn't tell anyone about, she is often thought to be a cold teen. But that's only because she's afrid of being hurt, she has always wondered about if there were other worlds beyond the Destiny Islands. She is a loner as some of the other Islanders would call her.

Appearance: , she wears a chocker.

Heart: Twilight

Keyblade: Hearts of Twilight

What it looks like: A orange and gold keyblade, the keychain being a orange, gold and dark blue sky.

History: Midnight was treated badly when she was a child, so now because of this she has a "Don't mess with me" sort of attitude, she just wants someone she can talk to but she doesn't know if she can. Regarless of warnings the futrue does not scare her at all. Midnight is a strange sort of teen, she never tells someone if something is bothering her.

Personality: Yuki is considered a cheerful, flamboyant and bright young teenager. Most of the time she's pretty laid back and as happy as a clam. But there are times where she can get a little headstrong, tough and has an incredible strong sense of courage and justice. As long as you don't get on her bad side, befriending her will be smoothe sailing. If you do get on her bad side however, you're going to be the very thing that Darkside just swallowed and threw up.

Keyblade: Rising Phoenix - A flamey looking Keyblade with black, orange, crimson and yellow flames painted on the blade, a deep black handle in the shape of Oathkeeper's handle and the keychain is an orange pheonix.

History:

Although she may seem like a breezy person, Rika actually had a bit of a hard childhood. Her mother died during childbirth and her father is hardly ever around anymore because of how he has to work to support him and Rika. Rika often tries to keep a straight face whenever she's feeling sad. The island where all the kids play on is like her own public sanctuary. She goes there to hang out with her friends or thinks about if there were any worlds out there besides this one. She also often trains and spars with other kids (sort of how she grew into a tomboy).

Name: Seth Higashi

Gender: Male

Personality: There are times where Seth looks like he is lost in a train of thought but that's only when he thinks about the weird dreams he's been having for a while now. Other than that, he's just like any normal teenager. He is very protective when it comes to his friends safety

Appearance: Seth has brown medium length hair which his bangs nearly cover his hazel colored eyes. However he covers his hair with a black beanie, the small visor covering his right eye. As for his attire, the boy wears a black t-shirt with a black/white striped long sleeve shirt stitched underneath. However he keeps his left sleeve rolled up, revealing a three row pyramid bracelet worn around his wrist. His hands are kept warm by a pair of black fingerless gloves and he also wears a pair of black denim shorts that reaches passed his knees. Lastly Seth wears a pair of black sneakers with a white Heartagram on the sides of them.

Heart: Light

Keyblade: Rebellion

Key-Chain: A red heart hangs from the end of the chain, a black demon wing covering half of it. It represents a dark force trying to consume the heart.

History: Seth has grown up on Destiny Islands every since he was born. He usually rows his boat off to the deserted island just to get away from the adult, as well as hanging out with his friends. It was a usual thing he has been doing for quite a while and the boy had to admit, he was growing tired of the same old thing. At first having their own private island was a good thing but now seeing how everyone has grown, there was nothing much else to do on the place where they played. That is... until one day...

Seth had drifted off into a deep slumber, opening his eyes only to find that he was surrounded by nothing but Darkness. He looked down only to see that he was standing on a glass stained platform, an image of he and his friends was imprinted on it. "Follow your heart." said a mysterious voice which seem to echo in the area. In front of Seth a group of shadow-like creatures began to rise up from the floor, their smalls black bodies and antennas twitched as their small yellow eyes gazed at him. At first they didn't look like they would do harm but then the group lunged at the boy, knocking him to the floor and began to pile up on him. It looked like his fate came to an early end but there was a flash of light, and at that the moment the dream seem to end.

Waking up in a cold sweat, Seth saw that it was just a dream... a dream that felt so real. Ever since then he kept quiet about the subject and wondered if any of his friends had the same dream as he did but decided to never bring it up.

Gender: Male

Personality: Generally quiet....likes to make smart ass comments and enjoys eavesdropping....he doesnt usually get excited but when he does...he REALLY gets excited. Doesn't stop eating

Appearance: Shaggy dark red hair that covers almost all of his face, 5"10 and not built but is solid. Wears a black headband under his hair.

He has an unexplained silver streak in his hair, this is merely to more so show how bad@ss he can get.

Heart: At first light, but gets tempted to darkness, so dawn/twilight

Keyblade: Dawn of Twilight

History: Arauca....surprisingly does not remember anything before his 10th birthday, but it seems as time goes by he begins to remember random things of his past in his dreams. But after the age of ten, no mother only a father. Unfortunately Auraca was adopted by his single father, even though his father is a rich business person, Auraca denies his father's name and doesn't talk about life at home very much.

Magic/Abilities: Has the power of the stars...Gravity can use basic spells such as fire,ice,cure etc...has limit breaks such as twilight break and imagestrike. He is an experienced fighter when it comes to melee weapons

-Keyblade rush (Rushes at opponent and attacks vigorously from different angles
-Twilight Break (similar to riku's dark break)
- Imagestrike (quickly move behind opponent)

Personality: Happy, fun-loving, courageous, confident, cool, caring, and adventurous. Syra loves his friends to a fault, and would do anything to guaruntee their safety. His undying compassion gives him a beautiful aura, and people are constantly attracted to him. Sometimes Syra makes foolish decisions, but he is always prepared to face the consequences and figure out a way to fix things. He is committed to his friends, and they look up to him. Riku is sometimes stubborn and loses his temper, causing people to back away from him. But otherwise he is well respected and admired.

Personality: Acts cold, distant, and quiet, but is actually reallly shy around people. Even though she acts like she doesn't have friends, she seems to be really loyal to the people that she does likes/trusts. It's hard to get a rise out of her, or to make her laugh. Usually logical and thinks before acting. When she is talking, she's usually sarcastic or insulting. Is pretty selfish and usually does things for her own personal gain and can use people or take advantage of people.

History: Aysel is an orphan whose parents went missing. She instead went to live with her grandmother, who recently died of "old age". Lately she has been off by herself in the secret place or hanging out by the beach. She does not remember if she was born on the island or not, but she guesses that it may have something to do with her parents for why she can't remember. It takes a little while for Aysel to trust people, and it could take anything to make her distrust someone instintly.

Aysel likes to fight, like swordfighting and such, and she's pretty good at it. Aysel doesn't like losing, but doesn't show it.

Gender : Female

Personality : Kind and caring, Aimi is very down-to-earth. She’s a very acceptable person and usually likes everyone she meets. She normally doesn’t judge people, which tends to make her very vulnerable and naïve. Although she is not the talkative type, she is very intelligent and loves to listen to others. At times, Aimi can seem a little shy. She won’t be the one to start a conversation. However, with time, Aimi can become very pleasant and comfortable to be around. Although she is very sweet, Aimi is not afraid to tell the truth and show a little anger once in awhile.

Appearance : Aimi has straight brown hair that flows just below her shoulders. Her right eye is covered by long side bangs, while her left eye shines a deep cerulean blue. Though most people cannot see it, a light scar rests above her right eye. Standing at about five foot, she weighs approximately ninety pounds and is all skin and bones. For her attire, Aimi wears a white tank top that ends just above her belly button. Covering her legs is a baggy pair of navy pants, which completely hides the black sneakers on her feet. Aimi doesn’t wear many accessories. Except for a star pendant around her neck, her wrists are bare.

Heart : Light

Keyblade : Cerulean Moon - This deeply colored Keyblade is about two feet long. The blade's edge is sharply carved into a crescent moon and the handle is black. Hanging from the handle is the keychain, three shooting stars.

History: Born on the peaceful sanctuary of Destiny Islands, Aimi was raised by a single mother and was an only child. Her one sibling, born two years after Aimi, died when he was very young. The death left an emotional scar on her mother and it was hard to get by afterwards. Although things weren’t easy, Aimi and her mother began to grow a very strong bond.

When she was five, Aimi’s mother brought her to the secluded island, the place where kids would go without parents. Wandering off by herself, Aimi curiously ran into the mysterious cave and came across a lone wooden door. Unsure of what it was, Aimi felt frightened and tried to run away. But a strong wind suddenly picked up and knocked her down onto the cold floor, leaving a scar above her right eye.

As Aimi grew up, she began to go to school and make many friends. They would often visit that same secluded island, but Aimi would never go into the cave. The memory of that frightful day still hung heavy in her heart.

However, Aimi has been having strange dream lately and she’s not sure what to do. Every time she visits that island, she feels drawn to the cave. All she wants to do is get rid of this sensation deep within her heart. But she finds it is not so easy to push away...
