See I have been hearing a completely different rumor going around about the end of KH3D. Supposedly, sora hasn't been real since KHCom when he went to sleep, and is a clone right now. This made a lot of sense with the trailer "Can you be sure that all these memories originated from you" and basically questioning his own existence. What I dont understand is Nightmare Ventus. Why the heck does he even exist. Who is he (gathered he is somehow ventus). And the fact Axel gets a keyblade just makes it a little less believable for me.

That's... a bit less believable. We same Sora awaken from his pod. And why would the others just be combining with a clone? I'm positive we're dealing with the real Sora.... Xemnas said that line because Sora has about 3 other people inside him at that moment. Can he be sure their emotions, thoughts, and feelings aren't messing with his own? Can he even be sure his own are his own or theirs? That's the internal conflict.

I guess nightmare Venny is... .a bad dream Ven is having? I don't know, we'll see.

I think there was a translation error. Sora wasn't able to summon his keyblade for a while, understandable, his heart supposedly just got split in half of crushed by MX. Suddenly being able to summon his keyblade after that probably would surprise everyone.

If Axel gets one in the very end... I don't really know what to think. I mean, he does fulfill the requirements I guess, but as time goes by, the keyblade looks less and less special. But I suppose if you put it into perspective, there's still only a few in the many worlds that wield it.

hey, wasnt a extra thing you could get at one store if you were the first to pick up your pre-ordered copy of 3ds with a completed saved file?what if they had one of those over in japan too?

Nah, that was a translation error I think. It was just a clear folder, like what you put paper in and such.

So the 'shocking' ending is...

Sora starting his new his new journey all alone..? That seems pretty freakin depressing.

I dont know what the shock actually is that Nomura was referring to, maybe it is in the secret ending which we have yet to see.

In all honesty it does seem surprising to me. I wanted Sora to fail but I never expected for Nomura, felt alone anyone at SE/Disney to allow him to do that. And Sora going off to journey alone after? That's definitely a shocker for me. I expected him to be depressed and mope but around people versus being the loner while Riku gets placed as the hero this time.

Plus, Lea getting a Keyblade.

But i think the Secret Ending will definitely be shocking compared to the ending.

Well, people were complaining about how derpy and happy go lucky Sora was, so they got what they wanted. I personally feel bad for the kid. Maybe he'll mature a bit over the course of his solo adventure. I hope Sora proves to everyone that you don't need some stupid title to kick Xehanort's a**. And maybe he will do just that. Part of me thinks that making Sora fail the test is:
A. Much needed for more character development.
B. To emphasize that Sora is just a regular kid...with the whole fate of the universe balancing on his disappointed, probably depressed shoulders.
C. To show how Sora gains power on his own, and not leeching it from his friends.
Still, I secretly hoped Nomura wouldn't push our happy hero to an all time low. But Sora will rise again, I'm sure. Knowing this ending, I wonder what the original Nomura planned but cut out was?

Sora needs to know he can be happy, go-lucky without being overconfident, or without being rash, and also knowing that things might not go right for him. TAV learned that lesson. RAX knows it. Hell, even Riku and Kairi knew it. Sora hadn't faced what failure would be like yet, and seeing as how he is the true Protagonist, it was definitely needed.

I think Sora & co. should definitely be the one's to stop/defeat Xehanort's plan, but I think TAV + Xion (if she comes back) should be the one's to finish Xehanort off. Out of everyone I think Xehanort really messed with those four worse than anyone else in the KH crew. He steals Terra's body for 10+ years, condemns Aqua to the RoD where she nearly gives in and dies, and then might as well have shot Ven in the face when he separated his heart because he almost died. Not too mention Xion did die because of him. If anyone deserves to take down Xehanort the most, it's those four.

I wonder what the significance of those three specific beings asking Sora those questions are. Is that hinting at what his journey will be at the start of kh3?

I don't really think so, I believe that Sora needs to find something for 'himself' instead of starting the game trying to free Xion/Roxas/Ventus from their torment. I really want to see this ending, for possible further details.

My thoughts exactly, I think Sora had become way overconfident and needed some way to transition from "I've got a keyblade I win!" to more of a Roxas or Riku like character who actually has some internal struggle.

If anything, this failure gives him something to relate to Terra with. Seriously, though, I hope he doesn't go the Terra route.

Eh, I really like her so I'm really biased, I guess xD I just think even compared to SRK and RA, even if she is considered a plot device, that girl definitely was treated worse by Xehanort than anyone other than TAV.

Yeah. And the fact that they may see what they did as what set off all these events (which it did, really) they should be allowed to "correct" it and finish Xehanort off for themselves, the worlds, and Master Eraqus.
