Spoiler ShowFriendly reminder that after that huge Luxigbar revelation in the epilogue, there’s still the secret ending coming sometime afterwards. And didn’t Nomura say that they both contain the biggest spoilers in the game?
Spoiler ShowBlack Powder is Braig's theme, and yet it also play during Keyblade War... Of course the two are related...
Oh, and Ava's keyblade is also in the artbook. Maybe she will appear despite has no lines in the secret ending? I mean, both Aeleus and Dilan doesn't speak a line in the whole game..
Spoiler ShowHello.
I just finished the first world (Disney world, which was Olympus). Here are my impressions:
+ Loved the idle trailer that plays orchestral Don't Think Twice
+ Loved the Dive to Heart segment that was reminiscent to the very first KINGDOM HEARTS. There was so much detail to the level of Sora's portrait being hand-drawn, and not the new 3D render we got.
- The transition between the Dive to Heart and the Sora and Yen Sid cutscene was too fast.
+ LOL @ KH II.9 xD
* My gripe with Olympus is that there's a lot going on, and too fast, but I kinda get the purpose of this, seeing as how this is pretty much based on the movie's finale.
+ I loved the NPC saving segment. We actually get to interact with in-film characters reacting to the in-film threat, which in this case were Heartless.
* Speaking of the Heartless, Maleficent said she didn't summon them, and Hades said he was doing things his way without the Heartless. Maybe someone else interfered and got them there, or they got there on their own?
+ Speaking of the Heartless, I loved every Heartless' design in this world.
+ Speaking of Maleficent, I am liking her role right now, and I wonder if the black robe that told her about the Black Box was Xigbar. Speaking of which, does this confirm that the Book of Prophecies is the thing inside the Box?
- I also don't like that the gameplay mechanics are thrown into you right out of the bat. And I say this specifically for Attraction Flows. They should have left them to be introduced during the Rock Titan boss fight, seeing as how the scope of that fight needed that.

Overall, I am very much enjoying the game!
Something else that had me scratching my head was Hercules' age. I know it's in line with the film but he has to be older then eighteen by KH3. That would mean he would be biologically six by BBS, lol

One thing that really bums me out.
Spoiler ShowIn the Final World, there's the star that initiates the cutscene with Namine. What sucks is how it'll most likely be missed or ignored by a lot of people unless someone points it out.
Spoiler ShowFirst things first: I didn't hate everything about this game, although the following paragraphs may make it sound like that. It's just...I'm tired. So tired of these stereotypical things and all the nonsense that wouldn't HAVE to happen. Anyway:
I didn't think anything could disappoint me more than season 8 of Voltron, but here we diddlying are. I don't know what to say or even feel. I swear through the last three-or-something fights my only wish was for Xehanort to not be, in any kind of way, redeemed, but of course I was disappointed. Of course he got his heartfelt goodbye with Eraqus. Of course his ultimate goal was just "to WIPE the darkness" yadda yadda.
Generally, people's motives in this game were super-mega-ultra confusing. Everyone changed their minds so quickly, if they even had a goal to begin with. Who are the rest of the allegedly-important "new seven hearts", why was the organization after the black box and then didn't care after all, what was with that groundhog day experience Sora had, why was the only dialogue Naminé got missable and who is "unnamed girl" and why is she suddenly relevant and AHH, what was all this bullshit!! I don't understand.
I better not talk in detail about the fact that the SoKai-crap gave me major headaches and made me cringe through the entirety of it, including the very ending. There was no point to her disappearing only to give Sora a reason to go save her again. Also this whole "KAIRI is the one who kept you whole"-stuff? After a series of games beating it into my head that ALL of Sora's friends are his power?? I give up. Their romantic build-up fits onto a teaspoon and someone couldn't deal with it and had to try everything to make SoKai oh-so-believable. No, I didn't expect any less, but I expected at least a little more actual effort other than "boy and girl :3c".
Also every arse and their grandma gets some sort of redemption or new chance at life but Vanitas ends with "I am darkness" - "ok" - "Wha-? Vanitas!" bye bye??????????????????????????
Look, I'm a little biased here, I know, but if fucking Geezernort gets pretty much a mini-redemption and my boy gets done so dirty...???
AND THEN THERE'S REPLIKU WHO DESERVED THE WORLD BUT GOT SHIT TOO. THEY COULD'VE LITERALLY MADE MORE REPLICAS, THEY HAD VEXEN/EVEN BACK ON THEIR SIDE FFS

Spoiler ShowYeah, I wasn't gonna say it just yet, but with Vexen, Ansem the Wise, AND Ienzo working together, there's no reason Repliku had to die. Lol, they litterally had every resource they could possibly need to make him a new vessel. Honestly, Repliku was all-around a great, and well-written character, and had one of the best arcs in this game. He also had one of the best scenes (next to Lea and Isa's scene, imo). But yeah, he really did deserve better all things considered. Still, I like to think (since he vanished in a mist of light) that he was able to rest in peace in "The Final World." Maybe he can talk to that nameless star about Namine.
Spoiler ShowThe only thing I'm miffed about is Namine's dialogue being missable. That just made me upset.
well, that and any possible Disney interference that just makes everything seem off and makes the Disney characters look like Ultra Instinct Goku. Like, Zettaflare? Seriously?
I'm kinda fine with everything else honestly.
oh, two more things that irk me. they aren't story related tho.
People suddenly noticing Mickey's voice not being Wayne's, and people actually thinking Danny DeVito was in the game as Phil even though he was never in the series at all
Spoiler Show
It's great how Young Xehanort gets (verbally) torn a new one not only by SDG but Woody too. He met YX only a few hours ago and can already tell he's full of crap to the brim and while claiming to know much actually doesn't understand at all.
Sora trying to use the Gummi phone to reach Ienzo and then ending up calling Mickey is also hilarious, especially when the King and Riku share a look as if they're about to facepalm when SDG finally tell them the Organisation and Maleficent might be searching for a black box with Donald sheepishly admitting they have forgotten to share this until now.
Also, the few shots we get to see of Radiant Garden are so damn gorgeous and it looks like it is really back to shape like it was in BBS.
It's a shame we cannot visit and explore it.
Spoiler ShowI just finished Twilight Town and, I must say, KINGDOM HEARTS III really evolved that world. It feels like an actual town. Even though it's shorter than KHII's rendition, it has a lot in it that compensates for that matter. I also love how we got to see the villains interact in this world with Sora and with Xigbar, who seems to be supervising the events of the game.
I don't know if this has been brought up, but 100 acre woods story was such a waste. Only 10 minutes to beat it for the weakest story.
Spoiler Showthere is a cutscene after the first visit to Twilight Town which has Riku and Mickey piece together than Xehanort stole Terra's body. Yet the old man himself already admitted to it at the end of DDD. I can't believe they forgot like that
