I've been thinking about the fabric in the new graphics a lot. It's kind of a conundrum in my mind? I doubt they want the cloth look like REALLL cloth (because that won't fit in every Disney setting), but one can clearly see they put a little but of texture on some stuff like Disney and Pixar do with with their animated movies... but something doesn't seem to be working.
Mickey's glove for example. It doesn't look horrible, but the light hitting it makes it look wrong. Somewhat the same with Aqua's sleeves texture wise.
I'm not sure how flowy they can make the fabric with the animation part of things. How I would love for the flow of the prerendered openings/endings, but that seems to be a technology still out of reach??? -or is this just laziness or is it optimization??-
