Twilight Town looked fantastic. Absolutely fantastic, graphic and lighting wise. Also, I'm glad to see Shot Lock back and updated - I liked the system a lot, personally. I'm glad we got that look at the Marluxia nobodies in action; the sakura petal effect was nice.

Wish we got more of a look at 0.2, though. And while DDD certainly looks updated, it really does show how empty the game was town-wise.

The way they did the Back Cover cutscenes is intriguing - I wonder if they'll keep that story-book idea, and if we'll see the Chi models or something more updated.

I have an idea as to why the worlds are empty in DDD. They're basically dream worlds, yes? Reality's laws don't exist in dreams. Random npcs don't exist in dreams.

Well damn! That's the final nail in the coffin then (for lack of a better term) - the Rebirth theory is true.

This is actually great! Even if it doesn't match up 100% to gelandporn's, it'll certainly be close enough.

Now that they added in Shotlocks I'm kind of worried about the overwhelming amount of techniques we can use:
-Keyblade Transformations
-Attraction Flow
-Flowmotion
-Shotlocks
-Summons (Most Likely)

I really hope this doesn't end up like BBS where keyblade attacks weren't very viable.

It doesn't necessarily mean the rebirth theory is true they very easily could be just summoned out the tome of prophecy which I think is what actually happened myself. It parallels how the journal is protected from people inside, Data Sora and Data Riku. Here I believe that the master in order to save the world and have suitable guards for the tome of prophecy decided to summoned forth the guardians of light from the tome of prophecy, copies of them specifically like the worlds and people like Snow White are.

Also I think I understand attraction flow now.


Before he summons shooting blaster you see a green menu bar appear with shooting blaster in katakana with 99*6 on it. During regular combat the same color green appears on numbers like 3p and 2p when Sora is hitting hearts. It looks identical to the tech point system so this is my theory.


Tech points are back but instead of experience they are attraction flow points. When you build up enough points then the attraction flow can be activated to expend your points.

I really hope this doesn't end up like BBS where keyblade attacks weren't very viable.

then why did the forteeler have the same exact va when you hear them talk?

That wouldn't make sense. This is taking place in the past. Why would the tome pull out the GoL to represent the Foretellers rather than the Foretellers themselves?

And why would the tome pull out the Foretellers represented by the GoL when the Foretellers are there...

Essentially, that doesn't make any sense.

Well, damn. This is really exciting... and at the same time, I kind of wish I could go back in time and stop myself from ever reading the Rebirth theory. LOL. Remember how some of us back then read it all and were like, "I feel like I just read KHIII spoilers," well, now it seems like that sentiment was completely right to have. LOL. (Though honestly, I'm mostly joking, and am uber excited about it/that I know it. Congratulations on being right, Grass! ^_^)

Also, this confirms that Hayden Panittiere has to come back, right? Because now not only is she voicing (a hopefully more used) Kairi, but also Ava now.

Now I'm even more curious if Kairi might be doing something really important in III, since Ava's part (her perhaps original incarnation) in Chi is so huge, and Square's been so hush-hush about Kairi in III, I mean.

...And now we must all wait to hear Ephemera's voice, to see if the theory about him being Sora's original self is true....

Anyway, moving away from Chi stuff, is any of the stuff in this trailer new at all? I mainly ask because I don't remember reading about some of these things in the D23 write up, but maybe people just forgot a few aspects of the trailers shown there and forgot to mention them in their tweets about the event and stuff?

Edit: @Hirokey23: If tech points truly are back, I swear I'll be the happiest person alive. I loved them in KH1 SO VERY MUCH, and I would adore it if they came back for this one game to end out the Xehanort Saga. It would be like book ends, even.

Good point. They didn't look way too overpowered. Even shot lock didn't kill everything it touched in the trailer, iirc.

one, because reincarnation or whatever is kinda meh idea
two, basically just means these characters are more or less even more clones
three, and most important, i was looking forward to all new voice cast for all new characters ;-;

I thought that it was, but I just don't remember hearing about Sora getting pulled down the stream and stuff at D23. Maybe I just forgot I read it^_^'

Yeah, if they can't get Hayden, they'll most likely have Alyson Stoner do it. I'm hoping Hayden will come back, though, because she seems to at least try for the main titles (such as BbS and DDD recently), and she just did some video game voice over work recently, so here's hoping

Plus, I just prefer Kairi and Xion having separate voices from each other, so I hope that they'll both come back. Hayden for Kairi and Alyson for Xion (though I'm not too worried about Alyson, because she's been really faithful thus far).
