Kingdom Hearts 1 gives me Final Fantasy 9 vibes

Traverse Town reminds me of Alexandira, Deep Jungle of Pinnacle Rocks, Hollow Bastion of Lindblum castle on the exterior while the interior reminds me of desert palace and ipsen's castle. I also cant help but see Donald as Vivi and Goofy as Steiner. Riku's dark mode reminds me of trance Kuja and Sora feels like a more composed Zidane.

But this is just how i feel. Does anyone get similar vibes? Kh1 seems like an action rpg version of old school mediaval/steampunk ff titles.
