I don't think they are gonna make a final mix. I couldn't imagine anything else they could add to a game that's already good.

The only reason KHFM was made was because we got certain extras while the Japanese fans didn't, so they took it to Nomura and complained about it until they got their remake.

As far as I know, Nomura hasn't made any differences in each version of the game this time, and he's confirmed that he won't be working on the Kingdom Hearts series for a while either.

That means we could be waiting for up to 10 years for a sequel like in the Chrono series

and plus he may change his mind on the final mix, most of the ff games have them and so dose kh1 so it might just be and extra boss battle and another more informational secret ending like deep dive but hey who knows
