Some have commented on the possibility of the western release date of Unchained X being announced at the D23 Japan Expo. While that is a reasonable notion, it doesn't seem logical to announce it at a Japanese expo; It would not be appropriate since the target audience at the expo are those who have already received the game and are enjoying it.
Having seen the list of studios set to appear at Paris Games Week 2015 - amongst which includes Square Enix and Disney - the question arises: would such a venue be a suitable place to announce the western release date? One may argue thus for several reasons:
1) The announcement is one that is suitable for the event, since the target audience is western and the event is taking place in a western country
2) A recent leak suggested that the game would be made available in France (and in French if I'm not mistaken)
3) An (arguably) adequate amount of time has passed since the Japanese release: with its troubled launch - in terms of the high frequency of downloads and logging into the server which subsequently crashed numerous times - Square Enix have had an adequate amount of time to prepare servers and localise (to a limited extent) the game.
What do you guys think?
