Guys and gals, it is official now, the Traitor may NOT be found solely among the five Foretellers according to the official KH Twitter account:

For completion's sake I'll post the other five as well:

Going by this, I guess we can eventually expect a seventh picture featuring Luxu?

Re: KH Twitter reveals another possible Traitor.

I've always had this idea in my head that the MoM might be the traitor as in trying to make his apprentices believe that he's trying to save the light while actually what he wants is the keyblade war for whatever reason.
I mean he tells them someone WILL betray them and basically just leaves them for good shortly after that. That's almost like admitting it somehow.

The again, I also still think that because the term "traitor" is not entirely clear, anyone and even EVERYONE (even at the same time that is) could be a traitor.

yeah... they also went with "Verräter" in German, so there's the same situation.
I actually thiught they'd hgo with "Spitzel"(Invi IS a Spitzel I guess) or "Zwischenträger"(Actually, all of them fall into this category) but I guess those would be giving it away too fast (also they're not really translations of 'traitor', so :x)

I think they intentionally left it like that, yes. The main problem is the foretellers jumping to conclusions even though they seemingly don't know what classifies someone as a traitor, as seen with Gula when he realizes what he has actually done.
Like, it's the most important rule for them not to be the traitor or bad guy yet none of them are able to communicate in ways to prevent that from happening.

Yep, these pics really have something to them.

Even that I think is intentional.
There are some vague hints towards the nature of the traitor as in "the one who will betray all" (just who is "all"? The Foretellers? The Light? The whole universe? It's anyone's guess) or the interpretation Gula recites to Skuld.
Luxu apparently also tells Ava something about "the truth of the traitor" which seems to shock her very much, but we never actually hear was he is saying.

Another thing that I just noticed when re-reading this part of the Browser-Chi Finale is that when you face Ava on the battlefield (meaning only non-Vulpes players will experience it) she says "There are secrets that no one should ever know…" which indicates her being shaken to the core, most likely by the things Luxu told her.

Now in X Back Cover, during the last scenes with the Master of Masters and Luxu once the Master leans in towards Luxu and tells him something that makes the youth recoil and ask "Why?" Could that have been the same thing Ava learned? They surely seem to be both pretty upset about what they hear.

Oh, the part with the box?
I have multiplr theories on my mind for this and also heard some others from friends. I, too, wondered what could be so shocking and also unallowed to look at. The X-Blade in some form? Part of the MoM like with his eye on the keyblades? Seven pure lights that are going to "be" the princesses of heart? I dunnooo

or they pull a 0.2 and something lame is in there :^)

Jokes aside, though, I also think it's got something to do with the X-blade

MoM be like
"haha it was just my diary containing fanfiction where grown ups seduce 1 year old boys #akuroku"
would explain their shock imo.

Yep, the box is obviously the "secret" Luxu inherited which he spoke of in Browser Chi, although I am not exactly sure if the MoM really outright and directly told Luxu what is in the box as he titled it also as a "surprise".
In the end it is just a little observation I made that both Ava and Luxu get told something important the audience doesn't get to hear/read and both have, politely spoken, a decidedly non-enthusiastic reaction to it.

Out of those options the X-blade is the one I would designate als the least likely one as it is stated that during the climax of the war (or the aftermath) the X-blade shatters into the twenty pieces.

Pfft, lol, so it's just the MoM's collection of FanFics of questionable quality with huge NSFW themes?

MoM: *Psh, y'know, that's actually my secret porn and dirty Fanfic stash and since I've actually secretly shipped you with both Gula and Invi for quite a while there are quite some gems in there!"
Luxu in a horrified tone: "But why?"
MoM: "Dude, check out the meaning of your name."

Re: KH Twitter reveals another possible Traitor.

when you talk to yourself you are deemed "mad" so obvi MoM is the traitor

seems like luxu is the pawn in the plan

So that must mean Luxu isn't the traitor? If so that really only leaves the Master, assuming that name on the box is the Master's name he is the only one besides Luxu that bears the sigil.

It is certainly somewhat odd that Luxu is left out of the "official" suspects, but on the other hand I also do not think these promotional images released should be necessarily taken as the all-definite end to things even if they do come from the official KH Twitter.

Since we also do not know what the "traitor" actually is really betraying, the claim that it is a betrayal of the light and bringing intentionally about the Apocalypse is after all an interpretation made by the Foretellers, it is even harder to actually pinpoint.

I'm not really up to date on everything that happened in Chi (because Unchained is only so far into it) [and I'm basing what I know of Chi's events from discussions here and the little intro video for Back Cover] but I'm of the opinion the MoM is the "traitor". I think you have to take into account the fact that he wrote the book of prophecy and there's no guarantee that everything he wrote is honest. For all we know he just made it up. But the question would remain, why? I really got the impression he was setting up the Foretellers to fight with each other, I mean he told them there was a traitor and then gave each one a specific role or information that the others weren't necessarily privy to, which would immediately make one cast suspicion over all the others. And with each one leading countless amounts of keyblade wielders, that kind of situation makes things pretty ripe for a keyblade war. So if he was setting them up, then he did indeed betray them.

Somewhere, surely procrastinating
Maybe he's left out because he's the obvious suspect? I know I've defended the idea that there wasn't a traitor at all earlier, but, if we're to take the recusant's sigil line literally, then the obvious (and maybe even a little too obvious) answer is that Luxu could be considered a traitor. The website probably doesn't want to advertise what their thoughts on it are is all, leaving Luxu out of it probably leaves more to the imagination and speculation of the dilemma to the viewer, and Square WANTS people to talk about their game. They're not going to give away what the real answer storyboarded is, if there even was one to begin with; they'd leave it up to us to decide :) (and my money's on Gula or Invi).
