Haha, not gonna lie, since I’m a zoomer who has never played vanilla KH2, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced the original Roxas battle lines.

EDIT: Oh wow that sounds pretty different

Not even that, in ancient greek culture the underworld (or Hades) is more like purgatory. All dead are sent there whether they're "good" or "bad" people.

No it's the Disney's Hercules equivalent of Hell.

Closest thing KH in specific has is the Realm of Darkness but that's only if you get trapped there.
If that’s the case, what was Auron doing there in KH2?

I think Disney established they have no intention of being accurate to the Greek mythology Hercules is based on a long time ago

Obviously they're not worried about being accurate, but it's a bigger logical leap to think they intended the underworld in Hercules to be a version of christian hell than to assume it follows the same basic concept as the mythology it's based on: a place where all souls go after death. The first assumption would lead to a bunch of pointless questions like "was Meg a sinner?"

You know how Kingdom Hearts has Final Fantasy characters, but it also has original characters who are inspired by FF characters? (Axel, Larxene, Vexen, Yozora)

Am I the only one who thinks that this process was done backwards in FF7R with Chadley being inspired by kid Ienzo?

They both have grey hair and blue eyes, which may not be much but then you see Chadley in his lab coat. They're both absurdly young scientists. And not only do they both have a mad scientist "parent" Chadley's creator is Hojo, who was the inspiration for Vexen!

Did anyone else make this connection? Or is it just me?

Imma be real I don’t think they ever deeply thought if it was the KH equivalent to hell or not, they were just adapting a place from the animated film and adding a Final Fantasy character related to death in it (alongside adding an FF character in Olympus as stated earlier)

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised since KH is more iconic-ish now?

With Nomura stating he's had the concept of Quadratum in his mind since the first game (which I'm highly doubtful of), do you think the gazing eyes on keyblades* like Void Gear are going to be explained away at some point, as if Nomura had been cooking up that concept ever since it was first introduced? Are they all the Master of Masters' doing? If so, does that mean they're all magical artifacts rather than his actual eye, as implied by when he first bestows No Name unto Luxu?

To me, they're just nice "evil" design indicators, but one does wonder.
*I mean the eyes on the actual keys, not the keychains, since there are a handful of those.

I learned that one of Nomura's ,mentors was Tetsuya Takahashi of Xenogears fame. This actually explains many thing about his writing, it is not even a joke.
