It costs however much the price of the ethernet cable is. All you have to do is buy an ethernet cable (they come in all sizes, mine is like 50 ft. and there are 100 ft. ones out there if you need it to go far to reach your PS3), so go to Best Buy or Radio Shack or get if online and it shouldn't cost that much....IDK, maybe $20...at most I'm thinking.

Thanks for the help. I'll go to bestbuy.com to check it out. I'll probably have to ask for it for my birthday (October) b/c I'm already spending enough money on the BBS Bundle.

can anyone post a guide on how to connect your ps3 to the internet by connecting it to a laptop using an ethernet cable?

I don't particularly see the reason for the PSP ID, since you're not going to see it at all. The AHP/PS3 PSN ID is the only thing you'll be seeing anyway, so... yeah. But if there is a reason for us to put it, would someone mind explaining?

By the way, I know nothing about how the multiplayer works in the game. I know you have to go to the Mirage Arena in order to "ad-hoc" but how soon into the game does that become available? Also, do you have access to all multiplayer options & environments from the start or do you unlock them as you go through single-player?

im 99.9 percent sure you have to unlock mirage arena and its modes through out the singleplayer campain

Let me get this straight: without a PS3, you can't play online with people from other locations? Doesn't the psp have an online network that let's you play with friends?

It's not that confusing.

The PSP can do Infustracture... but BBS only has Ad-Hoc which allows you to play online but your friends have to be near you (meaning they'd have to be in the same room as you) in order to play.

Me second!!!! Also, Mirage Arena is unlocked after you beat the first world in any person's storyline, the first world meaning the world that is not Land of Departure.
