Keyblade Designs

So after getting pretty much every gear (all the different-looking ones, that is) in Days, I couldn't help but notice the quality of the design of each of them. The Keyblade designs in KH1 were alright, not so great in KH2, but after playing through Days, pretty much every Keyblade design is one that I like, even the simplistic strength-based ones, especially the Prestige Gear. And Pandora's Gear is a beautiful-looking Keyblade too.

What are your opinions on the Keyblade designs in this game?

I like the ultimate gear. Its strong and cool looking!

I actually thought Days held the worst Keyblades of the KH series, with much praise going to the Keyblades from KH1 and KH2. Although, the unique handling for each of these Keyblades was nice.

Eh well I havent gotten all of the gears yet, so far I have all of the ones including casual and the mystery,zero,pandoras,and ultimate and the synthesis and shop ones. I think there is other gears that I havent got yet. I think that the pandoras key was pretty cool looking,but almost all the keyblades look the same.

That's because most of them are just 'level-ups' of the same basic set of gears.

I liked them too especially the raging gear and pandoras gear , those are my faves .

I like the Pandora gear, the Hazard gear, the Prestige gear, and my favorite is the Nimble gear. Although I liked some of KH2's keyblades better.

I like the keyblade theme is days.the idea of chaging fighting style depending on the keyblade type made the battels fun and I hope that they put that in future games.

i like the way it changed your fighting style depending on your gear but personally i like the actual designs better in KH1 and KH2

I guess what I mean is that in KH1 and 2, they were kind of visual reminders of the bright and colourful/cartoony worlds you had been to, where in Days they actually looked like dangerous and/or powerful weapons might.

oh i see, well yes, they did a better job of portraying the keyblades in days as powerful weapons than in the other games but i kinda like the brightness

I like how in the arcade mode, all the weapons you get in the story mode, you can equip to all the characters, so they all get cool looking weapons, which change each characters techniques, combos, and fighting styles. There is so much programming in this game, it's insane. I personally think this is a milestone in how far a DS game can go.

The designs were pretty good. It's hard to explain but they sort of reflect the "dark," not-all-that-happy mood, except the joke weapons.

It depends on who you're playing as. For Roxas, I'm not sure, but I know Saix wields a banana.
