Simple Question.
In KH2 in TWTNW
Could Kairi weild the keyblade because Riku gave it to her. Or was she already asign to it.

NOTE: If you hate Kairi, do not let it distract you from answering the question.lawlz

She has the ability to weild, but she isn't an established Keyblade Weilder.

wield
–verb (used with object)
1. to exercise (power, authority, influence, etc.), as in ruling or dominating.
2. to use (a weapon, instrument, etc.) effectively; handle or employ actively.
3. Archaic. to guide or direct.
4. Archaic. to govern; manage.

Well, technically, she fought with it, therefore she had the ability to wield it.

But there was pretty much no explanation on that entire subject...sooo, it's hard to say.

completely off-topic:
Does anyone else get really annoyed with the word "wield"? I always feel like I spelled it wrong.

It's Riku's keyblade. He got it when "something triggered in his mind, like a "long-lost memory" (by the way, this is from the novels). I suppose Kairi could wield because she's a PoH or whatever.

I know of the novels, and heard from some who are able to read it, so this is known to me. I can say that this is true.

And he didn't get it from DI as well, I second this. It might be designed with the islands in mind, doesn't mean that it was specifically thinking of DI that he got it from. Especially if it's from a "long, lost memory". I don't know what long, lost memory of DI he had forgotten to make this possible, as he mused and remembered his home all the time. Put this with Aqua, and maybe Xion, and you get quite...some vague plot there.

And that Keyblade that he got when triggering that said long lost memory in his mind, and it appeared in his hand, not only was it flowery, and completely fit for a girl, it was given to Kairi. It's said anyone with a strong heart can wield one, among other options of why and how, as Nomura had said, so is hard to tell whether she's a official wielder, or if she will be in the future, or if she is able to wield it for another reason.

I was questioning this when I kept hearing throughout the forum (by questionable members in itself, if you know what I mean) that she was leeching off of Riku, and he was dual-wielding for her. What I want to confirm is if Nomura had truly stated this in any of these interviews, because that knowledge is new to me, along with prove. Or is this a "educated guess" from the members themselves.

That's what I thought tooo, the design looked like it's from Di

And so is every other Keyblade based on a world.

Both Riku and Kairi are from DI, so it can even connect to her as well, if given the right perspective. We just don't know what that "long, lost memory" is to have it appear on his hand. If it had something to do with DI, Riku wouldn't have said those words as if he couldn't really explain it, or it to be that vague. He could've easily mentioned that it was from his memories of their home, rather than leave it with that quote for us to guess what it means, and have this conversation xD.

I just think there might be more to this than just a simple memory of DI, and whether it would be applied or expanded upon, I don't know. We just have to wait.

Um She Can use it,
Riku let her use that keyblade
when he duel wielded
the keyblade was formed by his memories of DI

Here's how it worked.
Riku thought of home, memories made keychain, he dual wielded, created Gayblade, gave Gayblade to Kairi, his heart supported the Keyblades existence (because he was dualwielding), then he took the Keyblade back.
Kairi isn't a wielder, it was always Riku's Keyblade.

She has tha ability to weild, though.

AT LEAST, if she does happen to, it's because of her heart's close promixity to Sora's.

You're gonna use the Jack example, aren't you? -__-

I'm going to use the "PMF has no proof" example.
Which he doesn't.
And therefore, we can't say she even has the ability.
