Just to clarify one thing

People usually think that the Corridors Of Darkness (COD) Yen Sid talked about is actually the Special Gates (SG) from which we travel from world to world in KH II, but actually they are different things. We never happen to see the COD. People think they are the same because they misunderstand Yen Sid's words, he says: "the worlds created new pathways that are opened by unlocking Special Gates" (something on that lines), and after this he says: "the heartless will be using their own paths Corridors Of Darkness and those Corridors could be connected to the Gates" (again something on that lines) he never said the Corridors Of Darkness WERE the Special Gates.

Yen Sid: Because of your previous endeavors, the worlds have returned to their
original states. That means the pathways between them have disappeared.

Donald: How do we get around?

Yen Sid: Do not fear. If what the King suspected proves true, the worlds have
prepared new pathways along which you may travel. These pathways may be
utilized by unlocking special gates. How these gates are opened, I'm afraid I
do not know... However, the Keyblade will serve as your guide. When a beam of
light radiates from the Keyblade, return to the Gummi Ship. Though the worlds
may seem far apart and out of reach, they nonetheless remain connected by
invisible ties. As do our hearts.

Yen Sid: But be warned. As you proceed... The Heartless and the Nobodies will
be using their own paths: Corridors of darkness, to travel from world to world.
They may be attempting to link these dark pathways to the gates between the

what i dont understand is that Yin Sid said that the COD could be connected to the SG. why do we never see that happening?

We fight Heartless and Nobodies' on the roads, so that, maybe, is the connection Yen Sid meant

~ the special gates are the gummi routes. and yes we do see the corridors of darkness. every time a heartless or a nobody appear. (we don't see them on the world map if that's what you're thinking...)

What I said is that we don't see the COD properly. We only see heartless and nobodies showing up.

The Corridors of Darkness is the black portals the Nobodies, specifically the Organization, and the Heartless use to travel to other worlds
