You've all seen the trailers by now. John Carter is based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic 'A Princess of Mars'.

I watched it the other night with my girlfriend and we both really enjoyed the movie.

Has anyone else seen it or interested in seeing it?

Trust me when I say the marketing they did for this movie was completely botched.

The trailers do a shitty job of capturing what the movie is about.

I'm a huge fan of the John Carter/Flash Gordon style pulp sifi-fantasy, so I've been really looking forward to it. It also doesn't hurt that it's directed by Brad Bird (Iron Giant/Incredibles), who has a eye for amazing large scale stories.

Brad Bird directed Mission: Impossible 4.

John Carter was directed by Andrew Stanton, who brought us Finding Nemo and Wall-E.

I have a good amount of people I personally I know and people I'm subbed to on YouTube who loved it (though they say it's cheesy a lot of the time), so I'll probably see it when I can.

My friend saw it and said she loved it and was shocked to see how humorous it was. I probably won't get to see it in theaters, though.
