Chapter One: Reminicing the Past.
As the blue waves crashed against the shores of the Destiny Islands sorrow still lurked about. The four most saddened were Goofy, Donald, Riku, and Kairi. It had been almost 3 monthes since that faithful day....the day when Sora died. Kairi could recall it perfectly. Sora had died to save her and had come back to her. Though he failed in his quest for life he stayed long enough to make sure Kairi and his dreams came true. She recalled the last image she had of him. There was only one way to describe it. Angelic. And Sora was now an angel. Wings and all. The last moments Kiari spent with him were full of love, sorrow, tears, and pain. The last moments Kairi was safe inside Sora's strong, gentle, and familiar embrace. Now Kairi was on her way to Riku's house to visit her saddened friend.
Meanwhile Riku was laing against his windowsill. He stared out the window and sighed. He could glimpse the island where they played....where Sora was resting for eternity. More grief had awaited Riku when he came home. He had been trapped behind the door to darkness for a year. First his best friend had died in battle, Next his girlfriend had ran off trying to find a way to bring Sora back, then when he got home he had to hear the news of his mother's death. She had apparently commited suicide out of her worry for her son. She had grown to realize that her son was dead. Without hope without Riku...she hung herself. His no-good father had ran off after her death now Riku was alone. But some good news came too. Yuffie, Leon, Aerith and Cloud decieded to remain on the Destiny Islands as well. Now he had Leon and Cloud as roomates. They were like brothers to him. But not nearly as well as Sora was. But they cared and shared Riku's pain. Riku sighed again as he remembered his true love. Noelle was Kairi's sister adn the Princess of Darkness. She and Riku had many things in common. Both torn between darkness and light, both missing parents, and both ready to take on the world. Riku seemed to think that if she was here his sadness would be lessened. Noelle blamed herself for Sora's death. She had done nothing to cause it but she was convinced she had. Now her whereabouts were unknown. There had been a letter telling her friends that she would find a way to bring Sora back. Riku clenched his fists swirling in all the sad memories. "Riku you okay?" Riku turned his head. He had almost forgot Donald and Goofy were there. The three had grown more close since Sora's death. Almost as if each were trying to find a trace of Sora within eachother. "Yeah just...you know. Thinking of the past." "Its okay.Kairi will be here soon. though." Donald reminded." It was almost Wakka's birthday so Kairi, Riku, Donald, Goofy, Selphie, and Tidus were planning it. Since Selphie and Tidus were off on a "outting" they wouldnt be coming. Kairi walked in holding a bag. "Hey guys." She said with some joy. Donald and Goofy greeted her but Riku just nodded at her prescence. Riku thought he should be closer to Kairi since they were the people who cared about Sora the most. "Okay so we're gonna have it at the beach." Kairi announced. "Right. Goofy you do decorations, Donald you and Kairi do the cake, Tidus, Selphie and I will keep Wakka away from the beach." Everyone nodded at their jobs. "Hey can i bake the cake?" Asked Goofy. "What would you know about baking cakes ya big palooka!?" "Uh Aerith was teaching me since she was suspecting-..........!" "Suspecting what?" Pressed Riku. "Nothing!" The group smiled knowing Goofy wasnt good at keeping secrets. Once things were planned out Kairi was going to leave. "Man I'm hungry!" Moaned Riku. "Well all we got is left over cassarole!" Called Leon. Riku moaned again. Kairi knew Riku hadnt had a real meal since the gummi ship's travels. "Uh how about we go to my house and have some real food?" Kairi asked. "THANK YOU! PLEASE! PLEASE! NEED REAL FOOD!" Quacked Donald. Kairi called Aerith and Yuffie and asked for help cooking. Aerith was happy to do it but Yuffie was a little reluctant. Kairi's grandma was already preparing some food. It was 6:OO. Everyone was coming and 6:45 so Kairi went home to get ready. She was brushing her hair when she thought she heard somethin outside. She looked at the setting sun and smiled. She had been so desperate to get a sign from Sora. He had sent her one a couple times right after his death but there were no more so far. She turned to her mirror when a sudden image burst in to her head! She saw someone near a tree. Someone with black, demonic wings, and spiky brown hair. Their face was covered except for a blue eye peeking from behind the hair. She felt a chill and heard a whipser, "Kairi........!" Her vision cleared and she stared at herself in the mirror. She heard a knock and shook her head trying to shake off the dizziness. "Sora? Was that you?" She wondered. "Why would I think of something like that? Unless......Unless Soras alive!"
