Hey. I just beat Ven with only one try for the final boss and in the JP it took me forever. Even if I go back now and play him the end part is hard. Also all the bosses in the NA took me one try except terra's first boss and Ven's first Vanitas.

So does anyone who played the JP think it was harder then the NA? Also does anyone think the NA is kinda easy?

I think that the NA is harder since they added critical mode and they toned down megaflare. The JP version seemed pretty easy to me.

well, NA did have CRITICAL which Japan lacked, so I'd say the NA version (if you were playing on critical) was harder.

It all depends on the difficulty you're playing on.

I did proud mode for both. They were both easy but the NA just seemed really easy. I don't think I died more than 10 times so far. (Ven and Terra)

Well, they did rebalance the game, and having already played it once, it must've been easier for you to adapt.

Hey, mr. jerk. Not everyone thought it was easy.

I found the difficulty to be slightly harder than Kh1's if you don't use shotlocks alot.

I breezed through KH1. I couldn't breeze through this so easily.

You pretty much have to almost completely avoid grinding on Proud Mode if you want a good challenge. Only the last bosses started to give me trouble, but only because I didn't know their patterns and attacks.

I started playing on Proud Mode from the start because of the experience with KH2. But since Proud is already so easy here, I could even imagine BBS's Standard being evem easier than KH2's.

Hey, mr. jerk. Not everyone thought it was easy.

Pfft, how does that make him a jerk. He's absolutely right.

I will say this in the Japanese Version Iron Prisoner IV couldn't be stunned by anything. But in the NA version regardless of difficulty you can stun him with Firaga and Sonic Blade.
Just throwing that out there.

Not my fault if you found it difficult and lvl 1 CM has about the same difficulty as a low level Proud Mode run through, just an FYI.
Also the races in the Japanese version were harder than the NA version. In the NA version they tend to slow down and let you either catch up or stay far behind on the last lap, but in the Japanese version you literally have to make no mistakes the entire race leading up to the last lap and sometimes they cans till pass you at the last second to win.

I agree with others that Proud mode was easier than expected. When I played KH1 in Proud, I can't begin to count how many times I died. KH2 was obviously a breeze. I'd say BBS' Proud mode is in between the two; slightly tough, but not extremely challenging.
I've watched walkthroughs of the JP version. It certainly looked harder.

Hey, mr. jerk. Not everyone thought it was easy.

He wasn't being a jerk about it, he just didn't find it that challenging. :/ No need to throw around insults.

that depends, were you on easy or critical

i'm on critical and every boss thus far has taken at least two tries, barring ven's first boss.

I think NA is harder than the Japanese one(i played both versions) and i agree with the races comment ProperArtist said.

I played on critical but to tell the truth i didn't found it that difficult...yes i died some times but i thought the game would more difficult.

Anyway in overall it was a difficult game at some points...at least for me.

I haven't played anything but critical, but I think that's the only way the game is challenging

I'm willing to bet JAP Critical mode is harder though

the critical mode is meant to take half of what you usually hit in standard anf take twice the damage.

i doubt critical mode varies within localization

No the NA version is definately harder. The only reason I can see you claiming it as "easy" is if you played on Beginner/Standard or just because you were already experienced with the bosses from the JAP version that you already knew exactly what to do when you got the ENG version.

The game should be harder if you play Critical mode, but for those people who played the full JPN version, of course the game was easier because just facing them once, you remembered some tricks to beating them and stuff like that, so it would be easier for you guys. It also depends on whether you special in RPG's or not, some people find RPG's harder then others, so just because one person found it easy like it seems a lot of people on these forums did (including me), there are a lot of people who equally found it challenging or near impossible.

I didn't know what to do against MF since he's not in the Japanese version and he still wasn't that hard :T
