Is it time...for Sora to get a new VA?

Haley Joel Osment is getting older and voice is sounding more manly by the year. Unfortunately, unlike Harry Potter, his character Sora is not keeping up with his age. In fact, Sora seems to be stuck in this age limbo. Problem is, Sora is staying young but his voice is getting deeper and more manly. So I'm thinking if the character isn't going to age that much to keep up with the VA, it might be time to get a new VA to match Sora's age. HJO does a great job and was awesome as Vanitas and Sora...however, he's getting older and his voice is showing it. Sora isn't getting older but his voice apparently is.

So what do you think? Should Square get a new more younger VA for Sora?

I really liked HJO in KH1 mainly because he was about 13 matching Sora's age. In KH2 he also sounded great the whole time, but Re:Coded was a mess but thats excusable because hes like in his 20's now voicing a 14 year old. In Dream Drop Distance since they are staying in their 14 year old forms then I think maybe it's time for Disney to get a new english VA. But HJO can still voice older Sora, although I'm very sure HJO will be Sora in DDD.

We've used Haley so far and it's not like his voice is going to get any deeper now, so I see no point in changing him. The voice still suites the character, even when Sora looks like he did in KH1 form the voice still suites him. I'm guessing the voice suites Re:Com and Re:Coded Sora because he has a different face than the Sora from KH1 had. Sora's new KH1 face looks like a mix between his KH2 and KH1 face and because of this, Haley's voice still suites Sora.

Also, he Square actually did switch Haley then he would be pretty much job less. Last time I checked what he was working on I only saw Kingdom Hearts and more Kingdom Hearts.

Voicing a 14 year old Sora is difficult. Perhaps they can hire a new voice actor for that, since well, that makes sense.

However, for current aged Sora, IDK if they should hire a new voice actor. Sora's like 15 right? "Most" young men by that time have already had their voices matured. And Haley was 18 when he did Sora's voice in KH2, I don't think Haley's going sound much different just 5-10 years from now unless he picks up sever smoking habits.

HJO's voice isn't going to change anymore. And since Sora is growing, his voice will eventually get deep like HJO's Vanitas voice.

HJO is fine and there is no need to get a new VA.

If they were to get a new voice actor for younger Sora, they would have already done so with Re:com and Re:coded. So it's not going to change just for DDD, which I'm guessing will be the last one KH1 Sora is going to be in.

As long as he can still make his voice sound like a teenagers voice, I don't see the problem. I think HJO is doing a great job, so I'll hope he will continue voicing Sora in future games.

sora is 16 now he can sound as manly as they want him haley voice isnt getting any depper then it alredy is

no, i dont think HJO should be replaced, for 2 reasons: one,a new sora voice would just be strange. 2: HJO is so awesome i didnt realize he was vanitas till i saw his face, then i was like OHHH THATS WHY THAT VOICE IS FAMILIAR!

I think HJO is doing a good job as it is. He proved he could sound much deeper and older when he voiced Vanitas, at least in my opinion, so I think it's not really necessary. Besides, I like HJO :3

I can't imagine Sora's English voice being voiced by anyone but HJO. It would be too weird for me. Like Mickey's new voice actor. Iwan does a good imitation of Mickey, but still isn't the same as Wayne Allwine. Besides, I think HJO is a good enough voice actor to make his voice sound a little bit younger if he needs to. His Vanitas was truly amazing.

Never. Why get rid of one of the few voice actors who has never had a disappointing performance in a KH game? (Technically, KH2 wasn't his fault. He did good work on a crappy script)

Guys, he's not talking about deep voiced acting like for Vanitas. He's talking about 14 year old, little KH1 Sora, who will be in DDD, probaby for the last time *as KH1 Sora*.

OK anyone who commeted or even thought sora va should be changed no matter what he looks like SOULD BE SHOT ON SITE AND THEN BURN IN HELL HJO SOULD VOICE SORA TELL THE DAY HE DIES even if hes 89 years old and the series is still going (lets relly hope not) then he sould still voice a young sora HJO IS SORA that and the six sense has been one of my top 5 fav movies even way befor kh was even an idea so ya i probly want HJO to play the kid Cole Sear again even if the boy not suppsoed be even a day older let alone 20years older so yea NO ONE CAN REPLACE HALEY JOEL OSMENT NO ONE.

No. HJO is fine enough when it comes to being Sora's English voice actor. He was actually pretty good as Vanitas.

It wouldn't be that much of a problem if they bothered to try to raise HJO's pitch to at least TRY to sound like KH1 Sora's.
