yes he is but only for a short side-story he has got two companions leon and someone else u can choose from 3 girls yuffie,tiffa and aerith

oh god i will get proof when i get the game ok my friend down the road has it and i have seen him play as him
cloud is the person u play
leon u cant switch
but u can get rid of yuffie for aerith or tiffa
usually yuffie is better cause aerith just heals and uses a stick i havent seen tiffa yet u have to find her
cloud uses the sword like he did in kh1 and just runs and slashes but he has some cool co-op moves
omni-bullet/leon and cloud
omnislash v6 or whatever its from *spoiler* ff7:ac
and of course
ninja slash/ yuffie throws her big star while cloud slashes
u can also go drive and use omnislash when he gets his wing

Yeah,i dont believe Cloud is a playable character,it just doesnt seem possible.I cant even imagine cloud running around like Sora does and fighting Heartless.Having the command screen and everything at the bottom.It just seems weird.
