Personality
Erika takes it mellow, but she's pretty sedate and calm, though hides the fact that she's shy and reserved, so she doesn't open up much. She doesn't get excited very easily and it's hard to impress her with anything too, even if what you show her is something that interests her or something that she likes. Sure a few "oohs" and "ahhs" here and there, but people know that it doesn't give much. The rating translation for that is "Okay, I guess it's alright." This is probably because she's pretty much the truth seeker, and so goes along her own pace. Although it would be hard to impress her, it's less hard to catch her attention with something if she isn't preoccupied with something else already. She's observant and perceptive, so listening to something won't be a problem, though sometimes she might need a recap, review, summary, or repeat again (etc.) to get enough information that she didn't catch onto. Sometimes, because either something will distract her or she would be just plain daydreaming. But she's bright nonetheless. She takes interest in the issues, calculating and analyzing problems and such. This makes her much of a strategist.
At times, she does become the type to become the typical serious character, sometimes she takes it to the extreme especially when irritated. Hell, she could even snap once something blows her top off. Sometimes people can tell when she would start to get angry, as her tone of voice and atmosphere around her gets darker, in a "burning in hell" sense. Though into the sense of motivation, she could take control and the atmosphere would be "burning with a passion" sense. She's normal, though. Her depressed self has the typical mood hanging over her that would be like how one would act, in her own slanted way I guess.
This is only one side of her, though. Another side is at odds with this. Unbeknownst to most of her peers around her, she's an otaku (look it up if you don't know). Therefore, she has a completely fun and energetic side that she always hides behind her serious persona. If you have a great humor, she'll go into laughing fits, one of the few moments that people get to see her smile. She's really into anything that relates to the entertainment world, which makes her knowledgeable of such, she has a wide range of creativity (especially at *hint hint*), she lazies around in her house a lot, she digests her food rather quickly for she is a big eater (a picky one at that though), and she loves sweets, junk food, and Cola. She has a very perverted mind because of being an otaku. So obviously she's going to love anime, manga,
hentai/ecchi, and will be a fan of celebrities that tie to her otaku interests. Also, because she has a perverted mind, with multiple thoughts always occupying her mind, she's very knowledgeable of *hint hint* as well. She even has a take on rumors, gossip, new updates (in entertainment world), technology, and current events (in general).
Because of her job after school (see Bio), she actually knows how to give a sex appeal, rare moments where she chooses using it to an advantage on manipulating boys. And coupled with her perverted mind and being an otaku, she was perfect for her job. At the cafe, her boss had labeled her as the "lolita" type, given the fact the she's relatively short being at the height of 152cm (5 feet). She's been that way since around graduating 6th grade (and the fact is too short to put into the Bio). She loves her job and has fun with it because she likes cosplaying the corresponding themes that her boss makes up every now and then. Mainly, the fact that she can cosplay as a maid for being a waitress is generally the reason. Plus, she can feel free about it.
Through all of this, she almost always will have a stoic expression on her face showing that she's in normal mode.
Bio
Born and raised in Tokyo, one would expect that someone from there would have it all. Money, high-class living conditions, and being a prodigy, expected to end up one day studying in Todai (
Tokyo Daigaku Tokyo University). That's why strict training and studies must have to be ensued at a young age to meet those expectations. But there are rare times that a Tokyo kid would get bored of city life. This life became overwhelming for Erika, as too much was put onto her since she had been succeeding faster. She couldn't take it anymore. She had to find some way to escape this life before worse comes to worse. One day, during her rest days walking around in a hallway, she had happened upon a slightly open door. Erika began to eavesdrop as she could hear her parents having a conversation. A conversation about her future academic life, having some schools listed as candidates. One of her teachers were in the room as well, suggesting for Erika to quiet and peaceful life as he recently noticed that she had become looking stressed lately. He suggested for admitting her to Aijo Kotogakko on Natsuyuki island. Her parents immediately refused, not wanting their "proper child to be in such a place like the boonies". Even as the teacher told them about life there, they still refused.
Erika took an immediate reaction to this. She saw the suggestion as way to finally escape this boring and restricting life. So she ran away. Taking a lot of money and credit cards, it was easy getting around with transport, buying food, and getting shelter. Though, she was a kid. Erika would always face hardships just like any typical runaway has. Two attempts of her getting rape, she was lucky narrowly getting out of. To avoid that again, she learned how to really survive on her own, taking a lot of physical training for strength. How she manages to still keep a figure with little to no abs is beyond
meanyone. And because she had to travel from place to place in a day just to reach the island quicker, her free time was limited for her survival. In the end (after a month), she finally succeeded on getting on a boat to Natsuyuki island. She was relieved and happy to have finally make it.
She would start her first day in Aijo Kotogakko as a transfer student. Though first, even though she would have enough money for a house, furniture, and to pay for living expenses, she wouldn't have enough money left for food and other basic survival needs. So, she first gets a job at a maid cafe to earn money. Why a maid cafe in particular? During her time in Tokyo, her father taught her that the life she is (or was) living right now (or then) was different from many others that don't. So she became curious about what it would be like outside of her lifestyle. She did some free research on her rest days and the more and more she found out, the more that she had hidden her new found interests entirely from her family and acquaintances. And Erika just had to stumble upon the entertainment world. She manifested a typical otaku personality just because she just had to take interest and fascination in anime, manga, gaming, celebrities, cosplay...the list goes on.
So why not dress up as a cute little maid? <3
