The only glimpses of Verum Rex the game we saw were from the trailer in Toy Box. With so many questions that we’d love to see answered, why not have some fun with it and propose our own versions of what might happen in that far off release.

For starters, I would like to propose a possible main antagonist for Veurm Rex. At first glance, it would seem that the main antagonist is a Master Xehanort look a like with Dr Eggman’s robots and Count Bleck’s sympathetic motives. However, The Phantom Blot has been working behind the scenes to swipe away the end goal of the villain’s plot under the guise of being a loyal minion.

But this is nothing compared to the twist of what the Phantom Blot looks like under his hood. You see during the game’s opening, one of the characters is shown to be playing Toontown Online and the player is tasked with creating their avatar in that game. When The Phantom Blot does reveal his true identity, it is the toon avatar the player created but with better graphics

Instead of a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with Verum Rex why don't they just use the plot of Verum Rex which is already written because Verum Rex is Versus XIII.

Because that wouldn’t be fun and make the kingdom hearts tie in a cheap way to get a final fantasy project that already got shut down off the ground

Yozora goes on a road trip to get married and then the plot just kinda tapers off and becomes a whole lot of camping.

It's probably going to be a Disney-fied version of the original VXIII. I think one of the major key changes would be death worship in the original. Disney doesn't really allow anyone (except maybe Clayton and moms because Walt's trauma) to stay dead, and even then you'd probably see anyone supposed to be dead alive and well in some spin-off.

I don't think Disney cares about this that much or even pays attention, considering how definitive certain deaths have been written as in this series (regardless of how things shake out many games later).

And while the residents of Quadartum might not worship a personification of death (maybe), the motif is already extremely present in KH4. While the subtitles might translate it as "afterworld" (fair enough), what she literally says is "world of death", and this is reinforced not just by the presence of our two dead kids, but by the 104 building, where 4 = shi = death, a prominent fixture of the setting even if Sora hadn't died to reach it. This is the reason for the TWEWY connection, since TWEWY is also a game about death, reapers, etc. (This might be a stretch but you could even say "world of 4" is an additional double meaning in this line, since it's the setting of KH4. Or should I call it KH Death?)

In other words, Quadratum is already a city themed around death just like Lucis, though the details may end up differing. Of course the additional context of Quadratum being our reality shakes things up, which is why Strelitzia calls it a "world full of life", so there's some dichotomies here.

All of this sounds completely random and unfitting for what Verum Rex is. Like Chie said, it’s essentially akin to Versus XIII and already has ideas behind it.

Also Toontown????

🤔

Maybe you’re right. Even the Master of Masters said something about humans wanting to believe in the future even if they weren’t around to see it anymore, and what could be more “not around” than being dead?
