I need somebody to explain something???

I thought playing this would explain something inbetween one and two would explain alot but I dont understand what it has to do w/ Sora at all...all I kon is why Sora is in that sleeping pod in #2 and what happened to Riku

So can anybody explain whats been goin on and what is proves

Uh... that's kind of a lot to tell us about.
As for some more detailed explanation:

I'll assume you finished the game.

It explains perfectly how Sora and Riku got from KH1 to KH2. Sora was on the field with Donald and Goofy looking for Mickey and Riku - that was after the KH1 credits, where they chased Pluto. They then reached Castle Oblivion, located nearby - Sora's KH1-CoM connection.
Due to the events that took place in CoM, Sora had to have his Memories put back together in the approrpriate order. To do that, he was put to sleep in the Pod. That is the pod he wakes up in in KH2, while the transferal of the pod from CO to TLTW is explained in the SARs. Sora's CoM-KH2 connection.
As for Riku, it explains how he got back to the Realm of Light from the Realm of Darkness - DiZ pulled him out at the beginning of his story in Reverse Rebirth. He then went through his own story in the basement levels of the Castle. Riku's KH1-CoM connection.
Once he was done, he joined Mickey, DiZ and Namine in protecting the slumbering Sora while Namine was restoring his Memories. Now this - this is where a lot of 358/2 Days comes in, showing what happened to Riku in between CoM and KH2 and how he really got to be stuck as Ansem and all that shiz, but the basic is told in CoM - he struggled with Xehanort's Heartless, joined with DiZ and Namine to help Sora, and as a result eventually fought Roxas and got stuck as Xehanort's Heartless. CoM-KH2 connection, in its basic form.

As for the rest - the somewhat direct continuation will be told in 358/2 Days like Santuary said.
