In and out of what is real and what is true
I am officially issuing a challenge to any one who wants a fight.

Here is my character's template

Name:Marx Dragonblade

Age: Looks 16 but might be as old or older then our solar system, who knows

Race: Half Elven Half Drago(Dragon People)

Appearence: He has pointed ears and an angular face. He is lithe and flexible, like an elf. He has slight muscle and is fairly tanned. His hair is long and hanging infront of his face, kind of Emo-like. It is black with blood red and ice blue streaks. His eyes are reptillian, kind of like a dragon's. They are glowing green. He wears an plain black shirt made of the same material as an elven robe. He wears deer skin leather pants and mocasins of the same type. He also has two dragon wings that have black membrane with red streaks running down them.

Personallity: Normally laid back and calm. In battle he is cruel, sadistic, and downright evil. In his full power form that becomes even more so with a bit of arrogance.

Powers: Dragon's Plight: Marx summons dragons from different ages in time to fight for him.
Dragon's Rage: Marx releases his full power form, but I won't tell you what it does, for suprise.
Marx also uses Fire, Chaos, ice, Earth, Lightning, and Darkness spells of different kinds. He can also change one element to another.

Weapons: Mordred: A blade staff which has an orb that looks like Sauron's eye in it. The shaft of the staff is oak with runes carved in it. The blades are admantanium and have an orb in each one. It controls both fire, chaos, and darkness. The runes translate to "My blood spilt as yours." As long as he holds the blade none of his blood shall be lost and his oppenent shall lose twice as much.

Chaox: A flamberge with a black blade and elven runes that glow red and translate to "The darkness shall be released" The blade glows red and the runes disappear when its full power is released

Matatak: A yew bow with elven runes running down the side it has magical properties. Arrows home in on enemies and can hold different elemental attacks, they also can absorb these elements as well. The arrows are oak and the fletching is that of a Phoenix. The runes translate to "May It Bring You Joy."

Bio: Marx was born to an Elven Princess and a Drago Chieftan. For his first 4 years of life both his parents raised him. Then before his fifth birthday his grandparents made the two split up. For the next 4 years his mother and her people raised him. Then his father took him in when his grandparents had to banish him for stealing the sacred orb. Until he was 15 his father raised him and then he left because the people there despised him for being part elf, the enemies of the Drago's. For the next year he wandered his planet until he came to a sorcerous. She offered to make him look like he was now for the rest of his life like she did, in exchange that he would be her slave for 9 years. He agreed for she was beautiful and kind and for nine long years he toiled for her and at the end of the nine years he heard that his parents had been killed and the two tribes at war. She begged him to stay but he had to leave so she gave him Chaox.
When he returned he stopped the quarl and took control of both tribes. He stayed with them for years until at last he had to leave to find the killer of his parents. The two groups gave him Mordred and Matatak as both could only be created through elven and drago magic.
For the next several hundred years he searched for the man who killed his parents. He actually met him once and lost very badly. He then created a training home in the center of the three largest suns. They sit in a triangle just far enough apart that there gravity doesn't suck them towards each other. The training area sits where the suns' gravity equals out and it is one million times the gravity of his home planet. After 20 years of training he can now run at 40 mph, swim at 30 knots, fly at 120 mph and lift up to 3 times his weight. Before he trained he could run at 59 mph, swim at 80 knots, fly at 200 mph and lift up to 10 times his weight on his home planet. (The gravity of the battlefield is the same as his homeplanets gravity, so he should be really fast and strong here.)
He travels throughout the omniverse looking for a fight with a worthy oppenent to increase his powers.

Theme: In the End by Linkin Park(normally)
Chop Suey by System Of A Down(at full power

I'll let my oppenent set the battle field. So, who wants to die?

Name: Von Nightblade
Age: Unknown
Weapon: Alpha(the blade once owned by his father) and Omega(the blade which was once known as the Nightblade.
Race: A seraph, one of the purest beings of light, tainted by darkness.

Appearance: http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/5815/guys2224ut.jpg

Background: Von's life was not heroic, and he was never a great warrior or well respected. His mother was a prostitute, and his father was any one of her many clients. Due to the fact that his mother had no other choice in the matter, he was born, she did not however change her life around and take care of him like any decent mother would, instead he was left alone on the streets, just an infant and in what seemed like no time at all he passed away.

Never was his death mourned by any of the mortals of his village, instead his body was thrown away like trash. So the soul of Von Nightblade, the bastard son of a prostitute and a man that obviously did not care about him, left the world of the living. However, the gods took pity on Von, and as such granted him a second life, however this life would be eternal, and they decided not to tell him anything about his past.

So the gods decided that they would leave him on Geonigma, his home planet, and allow him to live out his own life. He was placed in the care of a warrior who had been searching for an heir to his family name. The warrior saw it as the will of the gods and did not question how the boy had fallen into his care, though determined that it would be best to keep him a secret from the other mortals. He was given the name Nichol Skybright by his mortal father.

Living his life in solitude, and training all-day and every day, Nichol quickly became proficient in many different fighting arts of the mortals, and also found that he had some magical abilities as well. It was a group of people whom arrived at he and the man's home that began Nichol's journey; they were looking for the ruins to the ancient shrine which was said to be a place in which one could see the gods. Nichol brought the leader of the group to the shrine, and found that when he arrived, a figure appeared to them. It spoke to Nichol of a blade which belonged to the embodiment of the god of darkness which he was to destroy, however when Nichol refused to leave because of his loyalty to his father, the god said that it would not matter soon.

Nichol knew of course what this meant, and returned to his home. He arrived just in time to see his father as he was dying, and the killer attempting to escape with the man's treasures. The young man held his father in his arms as he passed away; his dying words were those telling Nichol that he must leave this place and fulfill whatever destiny the gods had planned for him. However, raised as a warrior, and knowing that his father's honor had been insulted; he set out to avenge his fathers death, only to find the leader of the group locked in a battle with the killer. The killer defeated the leader, only to be killed by Nichol, who then set out to find the blade spoken of to him by the gods, and fulfill his father's dying wish.

Remembering how he was raised, and knowing that most people would not be able to understand Nichol, or would perhaps even fear him due to his appearance, he began his quest to learn about himself, his past, if there were more like him out there, but most importantly to find the Nightblade he was told of by the gods. After 9 years of searching, Nichol finally found an old blind mage who lived in solitude on the southern continent. This mage listened to what Nichol had to say, and decided that it was no mistake that he had met him. Knowing that even if he wished to obtain the blade, he would have to hone his skills in magic, Nichol decided to stay.

So he stayed with the mage for 20 years, learning everything he knew about magic, and how to harness the powers that Nichol had found he had at a young age. After 21 years, Von decided that it was time he set out once more for truth, however months after he had left he could feel the life force of the mage die. Once again, he was alone in the world, and the only thing tht kept him going was his desire to learn what he was, who he was, and why he came to be.

Countless years after Nichol had parted ways with the mage, and was still in search for the blade, however demons began to appear among the lands. The news that countless mortals were beginning to be killed by these demons. When Nichol found out, he decided that he must help them. Setting forth to investigate what had started the demons appearing, Nichol found himself once more on the quest for the Nightblade. Through his quests to stop the demons, Nichol found himself in the presence of the Nightblade, his journey completed, what he had searched for so long finally within his grasp. However, something went wrong.

The winged being who had once been seen as a symbol of good by any of those he had helped had now been corrupted. The soul of the previous owner of the blade, Kyo Nightblade, posessed Nichol. His wings not only became scaly and black, but he also now only wished to conquer and kill the mortals that inhabited what he now thought of as his world. Lord Kyo, as he called himself, dominated the mortals and lead the demons bringing the world of mortals to their knees and ruling over them with an iron fist.

However this was not the end, a war raged within the fallen celestial being whom had once been Nichol, and the fight for control seemed as though it would never end. However one day, once again many years after he had been changed, his two sides, both Nichol and Kyo, seperated themselves into physical forms. They battled for a week straight, however on the seventh day, as they both summoned the last of their energy into one final blow, they finally came together in a flash of light. A single figure grasping two blades, one which glowed softly white, and one which seemed to absorb all light around it giving off the feeling that it was glowing black, also both wings were now feathered rather than scales, but one was black and one was white, and both the Nightblade and the katana which had once belonged to his father(which had been honed while Nichol was still in his light form, and given some of his magical properties making it more than a simple blade), was all that could be seen, his name he said was Von Nightblade.

The balance had been found in the being finally, his dark side tamed, however the light of himself kept silent by the darkness which now crept beneath the surface. Von remained in the world of mortals for many years, finding different mages whether they chose to allign themselves with darkness or light did not concern him, and learned the arts of magick. After many long years of training Von returned to his home, and had a vision of the gods which had given him his second chance at life. They told him that what had originally been a simple act of kindness, as they only meant to give him a second chance to living a fulfilling life, had now become something of a legend among the world of the living.

He was now seen as a symbol of balance between both the darkness and light that existed in everyone. The gods recognised him as such, and allowed him to continue living among the living and upholding the balance of not only his world, but the omniverse.

Now there are whispers among the omniverse of a new threat. After learning of this Von found it his duty to help maintain the balance of the omniverse, even if it means doing battle with the gods and his own demise.

Personality: Despite the fact that Von is quiet, that does not necessarily mean that he is unable to assert himself, or even kick one's ass. He is not afraid to fight, and is willing to do whatever it takes to win. He finds it very easy, thanks to an unimaginable ammount of years of experience, to make quick decisions and analyse situations in battle in mere seconds.

OOC: I want this battle to take place in the ruins of Zanarkand. You know, the place in FFX. Anyways, I'll let you make the introduction post as this is your thread.

OOC: I accept your challenge Justme3.

IC: Marx stood atop a ruined tower looking down at the ruins below. "Many lives were taken here, I feel their presence like fog on a cold day." Marx strained his eyes, looking for the enemy he was soon to fight with. Then he opened a portal and reappeared at the base of the tower. He placed a hand on it and the tower sunk down, slowly, then faster as it slowly turned to water. Marx smiled and placed his hand in the pool of water that lay before him. He took a drink and then stopped, turning slowly at the noise behind him.

Zanarkand; the ancient city of Spira in which the summoners, the false hope of Spira, journeyed to find the final summoning in hopes of defeating the great entity known as Sin. This city, despite the fact that it was now only ruins, had been chosen by a very special opponent to be the arena for what said opponent believed was going to be a rather uneventful battle. Supposedly a rather hot-headed individual had issued an open challenge hoping for a simple sparring match. It was obvious that he had found much more.

"Von Nightblade," a winged figure called out in an attempt to get his opponent, Marx's, attention. To an idiot it would seem like he was simply shouting a random name, but for those with any sense it would be rather obvious he was in fact introducing himself. Von often found that introductions were drawn out in battles such as this, one opponent spending large ammounts of time daring each other to attack. Von found this retarded.

Each of the beings knew each other's names, each knew what they were here for, there was nothing to do now but get down to business. "I'll start," Von stated simply, and just as he did the battle began. Pyreflies accumulated in an instant as the winged being waved his hand and a basilisk appeared. Knowing what it had been called forth to do, the beast lunged at Marx.

"I'll start him off easy," said Von as he prepared himself for a counterattack.

OOC: Well, basilisks are described many ways, so I'll use the snake-like one, about the size of a cobra.

IC: Marx turned his back as the basilisk appeared and jumped backward, landing behind the snake. He had postioned himself so the snake wouldn't be able to look at him, saving him from the paralayzing stare. He swung his blade around in front of the snakes face, confusing it. Then he brought his staff to the other side of the snake's head, with the crystal at its head level. As the snake gazed at it's own reflection it slowly began to die. After a few moments its skin peeled off and its skeleton and at least 3 gallons of blood were all that was left.

OOC: Actually I meant regular style basilisk. Maybe you should edit that post to fix your reaction.

OOC: For future reference anything Von summons in this battle will be somehow related to an FF, if it's a monster assume it's one of the "fiends" from FFX.

IC:

Von watched in amusement as this Marx character destroyed his basilisk. It would seem that Marx had not even begun to comprehend the plan that the winged being had set into motion with the summoning of the basilisk. Whether or not Marx had figured it out or not, it was not yet time for the mastermind to unveil his genius, nor was he sure that he would even need to. Perhaps his opponent should have become more knowledgable of the land of Spira before he had dared done battle with Von Nightblade.

"You've proven that you can handle one," said the soon to be winner non-chalantly, "However let's see if that was not simply luck." An even larger number of pyreflies than before appeared now as Von raised both his left and right hands and shaped them all into 9 more basilisks. Each beast hissed as they attacked Marx just as the previous one had. This of course was not all.

It was only a matter of time before this battle was over and Von was declared the victor.

OOC: You seem to love these Basilisks.

IC: Marx finally decided he had enough of these snakes. He opened his mouth and let out a long mournful cry. "My friends should be here in a moment." A long roar was heard. "Right on time." MArx jumped, backflipped and landed on the back of a large golden dragon. He smiled. "Marx Dragonblade, pleased to make your aquaintance." The dragon dove down and Marx closed his eyes. The claws of the beast ripped apart the basilisks and Marx jumped down. He pet the nose of the dragon. Then in a raspy growling noise Marx spoke to it. The dragon raised its head and looked at Von. "My turn." Marx growled.

OOC: Aww, you ruined my original plan. Oh well, I can work with this as well ;P I'll also be doing some foreshadowing in this post for another rp that I'm currently in. How awesome is that?

IC:

A dragon; this was indeed unexpected, however it was nothing that Von could not manage. In the instant he had seen the dragon being called by this Marx fellow, whom he now knew was part dragon, the celestial had already set into motion his back-up plan. It would seem that he'd have to use the technique of the only being that had ever battled and beaten Von in his current form. Indeed, the warrior had not intended on having to deal with both Marx and a dragon, however he had prepared something in case anything had gone wrong with his plan.

For those whom pay attention, they'd remember that Von raised both hands when he was calling forth the nine other basilisks which had just been destroyed by the dragon. If one chose to underestimate Von they would believe that he required both hands to call forth the basilisks, but of course this was not the case. Instead one should have turned their attention to the blood of the first basilisk, and that of the other nine. It had begun moving, seemingly on it's own accord, however this was not the case.

"I must thank Hemori the next time I see him," said Von as the blood surrounded both Marx and the dragon. At the same time the pyreflies of all of the basilisks both Marx and his dragon had slayed, as well as many more pyreflies which had been unsent, gathered around the sphere and disappeared into the blood causing it to change from simply blood to a barrier. The warrior had heard of a similar attack used by a rather powerful mage he had met long ago, and he assumed that this technique of Hemori's was based on it. In the instant the sphere had become a barrier, all forms of teleportation had been blocked. This of course was not the catch, or why this would be how Marx would lose.

"It's going to get a little cramped in there Marx. If you wish to surrender this will be your last chance." As Von finished speaking the sphere began reduce in size rather quickly. The celestial guessed that it would give Marx a moment to surrender, and if he chose not to he would have about a minute before he was crushed to death.

OOC: w00t!

OOC: Actually you'd be surprised, especially since that didn't destroy it. Why didn't it destroy it? That didn't work. The pyreflies became one with the blood causing it to become a barrier. The only way to extract pyreflies from the barrier would be for Von to extract them or a being far more powerful than Von to extract them. The only way for that to work would be if your character killed the dragon and used both it's pyreflies and blood to create a new barrier, however that would not work because your dragon is not of the current world in which we are in. This of course meaning that the dragon would not give pyreflies, simply blood.

There is a way for your character to escape this barrier, however you must remember that nothing can get in or out of it. Sound however being an exception. Anyways, if you haven't figured out a way to get out in your next post I'll say OOC that it wouldn't have worked and why and then IC you'll be finished off.

pyreflies which had been unsent, gathered around the sphere and disappeared into the blood causing it to change from simply blood to a barrier.

;) They were a part of the barrier, to pluck the pyreflies you would have had to dispel the barrier. As I said, only Von or a being far more powerful than Von may extract the pyreflies by dispelling it. Nice try =)

OOC: Alright, then I only have to summon another dragon from this world. And I think you know who I mean.

IC: Marx stared at the barrier around him. "I have one choice." Marx looked at the dragon and then he cried out again, in the same mournful growl that brought the dragon next to him. A sudden rumbling occurred and down from the air above the legendary Bahumut arrived. He turned, looking for the one who had awakened it from its slumber. MArx growled and then Bahumut looked directly at Von. Bahumut brought its foot down.

But this wasn't the true attack, this was just a distraction, and soon MArx would be free.
