You think Disney would let Nomura change their character's physical appearance.

I think it's more that Nomura doesn't even care to bother. TAV ages four years in BBS and look exactly the same, for example

^Probably some of this

However, Nomura doesn't have permission to modify any character he chooses. Only permission to use the characters in their original state.

Does he really have a choice? o_O

Bad example. There's not really a 4-year time difference between Ventus and Sora merge and the rest of the game. It was explained in an interview that the heart is born atleast about 3 years after your body is. So in reality, the time difference would only be about a year.

Anyway, obviously the true answer is this: Disney animals stay the same age forever. Just look at Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Daisy, Chip and Dale, and just about the rest of the Mickey mouse characters. Mickey would end up being 1295 years old and still look the same.

I like to think they are older than they appear.

me too but I have hard to belive it, 10 years is quite a lot lol.
Nomura should not have kept them in BBS, I don't like it sense they can't have been younger then 5 in BBS and then they would be 15 in KH and 16 in KH II and that's sick

It's just the way it goes.Look at family guy - it was created in 1999 and Stewie is still 1.

...maybe they have extreme dwarfism, like the guy from Austin Powers? I had to get it out of my system ;)

But, anyway, if you want a canon answer, because there hearts are innocent or something like that, so they don't age. But, really, Nomura isn't allowed to screw with Disney's stuff. I heard that it took months before Disney would let Square change Donald and Goofy's appearances in some of the worlds (i.e. Halloween Town, Atlantica, etc.)

Yeah, that's a load of bullshit. I checked all BBS interviews and he never says that, he pretty much says the opposite, so, I don''t know where you've gotten that idea.

You'll find that most Disney character have an immunity towards aging. They may change over time(illustration-wise), but few ever really show signs of actual aging.

Few Disney characters age. I think Ariel looks the same in both of the Little Mermaids despite 12 years passing. I just like to think that HDL appear younger than they actually are.
what??? correct me if I'm wrong but she's not with in BBS so there's just 1 year passing

maybe time flows differently in the different worlds? since HDL dont age, but Hercules does. (and by the time SDG leave Pride lands and come back, Nala's already prego XD ) but mickey and the gang have been around for a pretty long time (timeless river) but who knows how long ago that was supposed to be. so maybe they just age extremely slow.
I like that idea

- saying they don't age means they where created in one specific age
- cartons don't age because they can make over 300 episodes and still not cover a year so there's no need for a aging factor
- cartons aren't as serious
- I wouldn't like to be grandma duck - giving birth to a full grown man urgh

I have noticed that the original characters don't seem to age much either. In Kingdom Hearts II Sora outgrew his clothes and Riku just had longer hair. Not a huge difference considering the time lapse between Kingdom Hearts, COM, and Kingdom Hearts II. Kairi didn't change an awful lot either.

There was only 309 Days between CoM and KHII.
Riku's also taller, too.

Your saying growing 12 inches in one year is no biggie?

1. Riku does more than grow hair. His face and eye color changes too... in fact his body shape is also very different. When you actually look at KH1 Riku and KH2 Riku side to side, you realize they look a LOT different. Heck, Riku aged more than Sora did to be honest.

2. It's just one year and it's different for everyone. Some people may look completely different in a year, while others may look exactly the same in one year.
