*100% not a joke topic*
I'm not sure if this was ever brought up or if it's been explained already, but are the people in the RoS actually physically present or are their forms just manifestations of consciousness?
I'm thinking it's kind of like Inception, where Sora and Riku's actual bodies are asleep in Yen Sid's tower or something and their RoS selves are their mental projections of themselves, the same way you'd be "physically" present in a dream. It would explain why they look younger. Also, I think it might explain why Xehanort looks wayyy younger than any form of him we've seen before (even the one from the BBS intro looked taller, older, more muscular, etc.).
Furthermore, let's say Apprentice Xehanort or Terranort's been revived after his heartless and nobody were destroyed. Like Sora and Riku, he's able to actively enter the RoS, and the combination of Terra and MX (and Eraqus?)'s hearts/subconsciousnesses are the reason for all the dream incarnations of him--Ansem SoD, Xemnas, Baby Xehanort lol and possibly others (MF anyone?!?!). Why he's there is anyone's guess, but I think it's plausible that he's been revived and has figured out a way to enter the RoS on purpose.
As for Vanitas, maybe he's a part of Ven's, Sora's, or Xehanort's heart, manifested in the RoS due to one of them dreaming. We know Sora and Riku aren't there by chance or accident, right? Yen Sid sent them there, as part of the MoM, right? I'd imagine that only keyblade wielders/masters and other VIPs (very important people) could enter the RoS on purpose/willingly, whereas the Disney characters, TWEWY peeps, and worlds are there because, at the moment, they're unable to "wake up" in the RoL, for whatever reason. In the trailer Three Musketeers Mickey makes a hint about being from another world, like Sora, so it could be that he sent himself there, as well.
Does anybody else have thoughts on this? I might be way off base but I think it'd be pretty cool if that's what happened. What I really want to know is what purpose the RoS serves and how Sora ends up in limbo/the dark beach... and how he gets out of it.
Whatever happens, I feel like this game is gonna be BOSS. So. Effing. Excited.
