Uh, no. Sora does not know what happened to Ven. Personally, it looks like Ven had it a lot harder having to deal with MX and DS. Organization XIII seems piss-weak compared to those two.

Unless Ven is one of the major sources of problems in Birth By Sleep. Perhaps Ven's appearance is nothing more than a heavy burden his friends have to deal with. Master Xehanort was after him, perhaps sending hordes of obstacles in the Keyblade wielders' way. If Ven never existed, perhaps things would be much easier for Terra and Aqua, as they probably wouldn't have to protect him or have to endure the punishment of standing by him.
