How do you pronounce the character names?

I was watching this video on youtube the other day, and they were saying the names different from what I normally say.
They did have accents, but that's not what I'm getting at.
They just completely said a different name.

Examples:
Marluxia --
My way of saying his name: Mar-lux-ee-ah
Their way of saying his name: Mar-loo-she-ah

Demyx --
My way of saying his name: Dah-meeks
Their way of saying his name: Deh-micks

All the others they said were the same. Except for Xemnas, but they kept calling him Mansex, but that was just for humor purposes.

Does anyone else pronounce them differently? How are we supposed to know if we're saying it correctly or not? (Am I the only one pronouncing their names wrong!?)

Marluxia's name was said in-game in Re:CoM. And Xemnas was said in KH2.
Luxord I'm not sure was voiced, ever xD;

Don't think Luxord was ever voiced either. We only ever see his name in text.

The only ones you'll really ever get wrong is Xion and Marluxia. And that's about it.

I thought Marluxia was pronounced Mar- lux- ee - ah as well. Hmm, weird. The Japanese translation is Marusha, so I guess that's where the pronounciation comes from. And Xion - for some reason I pronounced her as Xee-on, not SHI-ON. Oh, Square and their spellings! :X

Also, I found a video where Quinton, Axel's voice actor recites a few lines from CoM...he actually mispronounces Marluxia like we do and...surprise surprise...even Larxene! Hahaha, oh Quinton.

Ok i heard Zexion's name was zesh-i-on but i say zexy-on,
I always said demyx Dem-meeks, now i say dem-icks.
I thought xions name was zi-on, but it's shii-on.
I still dont know how to larxene... I either say Larks-ene or larsh-een

I liked kai'z ok so maybe she was kinda damsely, but shes a princess of heart and had to be used to open the door to darkness

Aside from those we've heard in KH2 and know how they're pronounced (because I have no problem with how they're said):
Leck-say-us
Mar-luck-see-ah
Zee-on

Because pronounced Xion like a Frenchie sounds gay compared to my way.

I always thought that Marluxia was Mar-luck-sia, not Mar-loo-sha, and I still pronounce it the first way because their way doesn't sound right if you ask me, lol.

Same goes for Xion. I thought it would be Zy-on, not She-on.

I always pronounced Demyx's name as Dem-ee-ex. How do you pronounce Xigbar's name? Is it Zigbar or Shigbar.
