Riku and Kairi got theirs from the ceremony. Sora got his from Ven. Axel got his from out of frigging nowhere. Roxas got his from Sora, Xion got hers from Sora. But where did the others like Ven, Terra, Aqua, MX, Mickey, Ereques get theirs??

I'm assuming Vanitas got his from MX.

I figured that Aqua got hers during night time by the ocean, not sure why...

Eraqus and Xehanort got the ability from their master, who's existence is only referenced in BBS reports and the conversation they have over a chess game. It's also been implied that the Goat Blade isn't actually Xehanort's own weapon to begin with.

Sora did NOT get his from Ven. The thing was going to appear in Riku's hand, only he disappeared right before it could get to him, so it appeared in Sora's hand instead. Later on, after growing stronger, the Keyblade becomes his and his alone.

Ven probably got the Keyblade from Xehanort, since it seems like Xehanort found him and trained him for a while. Vanitas got his the same way Roxas got his from Sora; he's an aspect of Ven, so he inherited his ability. Mickey got his from Yen Sid, and Lea might've gotten the power from either Mickey or Yen Sid. Terra and Aqua likely inherited theirs from Eraqus.

eraqus' and xehanort's master performed the ceremony for them, then keyblades chose them.

master xehanort preformed the ceremony for ven, a keyblade then chose him.
vanitas being part of ven they likely are using the same keyblade similar to how sora and roxas were.

master eraqus preformed the ceremony for aqua and terra, keyblades then chose them.

terra performed the ceremony for riku, a keyblade then chose him.
aqua performed the ceremony for kairi, jury's still out if a keyblade has chosen her yet, but probably.

master yen sid performed the ceremony for mickey, a keyblade then chose him.
either yen sid or mickey performed the ceremony for lea, a keyblade then chose him.

the keyblade roxas' uses primarily through days belongs to sora, they are using it simultaneously.

basically, a keyblade master performs the ceremony for someone they intend to apprentice. this person can now wield the keyblade, but a keyblade still needs to choose them as their master. once they have, that keyblade then belongs to them. the ceremony isn't passing down actual keyblades from master to apprentice, but rather, passing down the ability.

sora is the only exception to this as he gained the keyblade without a ceremony (and no, he didn't get it from ven).

the reason so few keyblade wielder's exist by the time of kh1 is because of the need for a master to pass on the ability and most of the masters had died out or become incapacitated by that point in the story (that we know of anyway)

First you have to remember that Keyblades are sentient weapons. Keyblades choose their wielders so we can guess that TAV were chosen by their Keyblades. BTW the ceremony doesn't guarantee you a Keyblade, it raises your chances of gaining one.

Oh and Ven had nothing to do with Sora wielding the Kingdom Key, the only thing that Ven gave Sora was Dual Wielding.
