Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Sedai
When the Cicadas Cry: Generation

Hinamizawa, a peaceful secluded village set in Japan, with a deadly secret. The year 1983 brought many tragedies to seven teenagers, Rika, Satoko, Keiichi, Rena, Mion and Shion. Hinamizawa Syndrome struck all of them that year, murdering them slowly one by one until all of Hinamizawa suffered from the disease, resulting in the villages ultimate termination.
Though, time seemed to repeat again and again and again, for over 100 years. They were all given chances, one life after another until mysteries began to be solved and in the end, Hinamizawa was saved by that horrible year of 1983.
Rika Furuude, the daughter of the Furuude Nobles, and the queen carrier of the Disease, Hinamizawa Syndrome. After her mother and father had passed, Rika was given the status of queen carrier and if she were to be killed, all of Hinamizawa would become a calamity and become another village of ruins, and nothing more.
Miyo Takano, believed to just be Hinamizawa’s friendly town nurse was behind all of the deaths, and she knew very well what would happen if Rika were to be killed, and that was her goal. Kill Rika Furuude to prove the theory.
Eventually, after 100 years of torment, Rika was able to get her friends to trust her and together, they all stopped Takano’s killing rampage.
The year 1983 was finally over, and everyone was finally able to move on with their lives.
Though, in the year 2008, Takano came back, fed up with every ounce of treatment she had been put under, she would end her rivalry with Rika Furuude forever.
The Watangashi Festival of 2008 was brutal, and Takano took out revenge on anyone she could get her hands on, and even had a team behind her antics, killing those who she couldn’t.
It ended with a show down between Rika and Miyo, with Rika’s 12 year old daughter, Nana, watching, waiting desperately for her mother to leave the fight safely so they could go on with their lives.
Unfortunately, things didn’t end as anticipated.
Rika died later that night, revealing to Nana her role in Hinamizawa Syndrome, and what Nana’s role in the disease was from that point on.
Nana was the queen carrier of Hinamizawa Syndrome, and if these murders continued, and she were killed, Hinamizawa would be doomed forever…

Even one year later, the murders continued, but as of two weeks before the Watangashi Festival of 2009, a dead silence act was pulled and no murders were commited.

Everyone is scared half to death, and the symptoms of Hinamizawa have been rising because of it, though, the festivities of the Watangashi Festival are still scheduled to happen regardless of these gruesome murders.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hiding behind a wall, breathing as silently as she could, Nana Furuude watched out for others who could be after her. Clutching her gun in hand, she slowly peaked looking to see if the coast was clear.
Then, she made a run for it, keeping her target glass at eye level looking to see if anybody suspicious passed her sight.
She felt a quick shot of pressure in her thigh and fell over.
“D-DAMMIT!” She shouted, as she hit the ground, inspecting her leg, red liquid staining her school dress.
Back in the Irie clinic, despite the owners being dead, the new employees were doing a fine job of keeping the place up and running, and they were good at what they did.
Including the new head, Szayel Aporro Grantz.
He was still young, though, his past was as dark as any resident in Hinamizawa, having murdered his own brother after they had arrived home from college to find their parents and infant sister dead.
He was able to defeat the ghost of his past, though, and live a normal life, without facing those traumatic memories again.
The pink haired man sat at his desk, carefully dropping one liquid into another. He did so, so carefully and then set the test tube down, to watch the results of his experiment. He rolled over, in his chair, to a separate table, rolling up his sleeve, and tying a band, right above the crease of his elbow, and grabbed a needle.
Setting his items back at his desk, he poured one of the liquids into the syringe, and focused on his arm, placing the tip of the needle to his vein, preparing to do his deed.
“Szayel…”
The scientist sighed, and set the syringe down, pressing his white glasses further onto the bridge of his nose, he turned and looked at the young woman who called his name.
“You’re doing this again?” She asked, folding her arms, cocking her head to the side again.
Szayel Aporro smiled, and walked over to the young woman, “Cirucci, dearest… I’m doing this for all of us.” He said, placing his hands over her enlarged stomach. He focused his ember eyes on her large purple ones, smirking a bit wider. “She doesn’t have to be born with this horrible disease… I can fix this, I can.”
“Szayel…” The purple haired woman sighed.
“Cirucci. Don’t you trust me? …I am a scientist, after all.”
“…I do… I’m sorry.”
And with that, he sat back at his desk, injecting the liquid into his veins, causing Cirucci and even himself to cringe the slightest bit.
---
With a bit of trouble, Nana was able to get herself back onto her feet. The sun blasted down on her, causing her breathing to get a bit heavier. The small blue haired girl then darted towards the others.
“TAKE THIS! HAHA!” She cocked her gun, firing a couple of times at her targets.
She smiled, feeling the wind collide with her face. For the first time in a year, she actually felt like she was having fun.
Her friends had desperately tried to lift her spirits, make her smile like she used to.
She didn’t let the red stain on her dress bother her, it was just paint, it would wash off. Today was just a day for fun, and nothing could ruin it.
Nana waved around her hands, signaling for a time out and to have her friends gather around her.
She lowered gun to her side, and looked around at her comrades.
“Okay guys. Since our old class president transferred… We will need a new one, right?” She said, smirking at her friends.
Nobody was exactly sure what happened to the former class president. Only that he and his family disappeared around three weeks ago. It scared a lot of the students, but he probably had it coming. He wasn’t the nicest boy, and he needed a lesson to be taught.
The students got over his disappearance quickly, though.
“Last one standing… gets to be class president!”
She took a few steps back, cocking her gun.
“5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. GO!”
And they were off.
And so, the summer of the Watangashi Festival 2009 had begun.
Dark-green hair swayed in the wind, as a teen in a dark blue skirt and long-sleeved, black shirt ran forward, her emerald eyes darting left and right in suspicion. She held her weapon loosely, yet firmly, as she slowed down and crept behind a tree, spotting her target. She aimed steadily, ready to shoot at the dress-wearing girl, when suddenly...
BLAM!
Masako's eyes widened, as she felt something hit her back hard. She turned around, seeing her twin sister chuckling behind her, still pointing the gun towards her.
"You didn't just shoot me..." she said quietly, smiling slightly. As fast as she could, Masako raised her own gun, shooting at the teen in front of her. The shot went pass her; Sakiko laughed out loud before disappearing from the other's sight.
Masako was just about to run after her, when Nana asked them to gather. Sighing, she made her way to the blue-haired girl. As she arrived, she noticed that Sakiko, her sister, was there already, smiling widely as she saw her.
"Hope you didn't get hurt, sis", the short-haired Sakiko said, winking as a smirk spread across her face. Masako decided not to answer; instead, she listened to Nana.
“Okay guys. Since our old class president transferred… We will need a new one, right?”
"It appears so", Sakiko said, her smirk widening. She thought that a round of paintball was a fantastic idea - action, suspense, fun... A good way to cheer someone up. The previous president had been a complete jerk, so she wasn't that sad about his absence.
“Last one standing… gets to be class president!”
Masako's emerald-green eyes narrowed, as she built up her concentration. She had always wanted to be the class president, to carry responsibility. Glancing at her sister, she waited for the starting signal. Sakiko chuckled once more, rolled her gun in a canny way in her hand and prepared to run.
“5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. GO!”
Masako and Sakiko darted into opposite directions, their guns loaded and eyes observant. A great way to spend a summer day together with friends.
Masako didn't have to run for long, when she spotted Nana nearby, creeping around. The green-haired girl aimed carefully before pulling the trigger and sending a small orb full of blue paint towards her.
A girl was hiding around the corner, her hand clutching the gun. A boy with red, medium length hair rept up behind him, his eyes on the enemy and aimed at her thights.
Carefully... he told himself and pulled the trigger. As the target stood up, suddenly, Light felt a slight push at the back of his head and fell on the floor, eating some of the dust along the way when Nana called us over.
“Okay guys. Since our old class president transferred… We will need a new one, right?”
"Well, yes. Who would guide us? There would be nobody ordering us around," Light said, lifting one of his eyebrows and laughed. "Paintball is a great way of telling which one of us it the greatest." Yes paintball is great, but Light has hardly got any knowledge of it.
“Last one standing… gets to be class president!”
Light looked around and smirked. With high hopes of being the new class president, he laughed out some more
"5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. GO!”
Half confused with the rules, Light stood in the same place after the rest of his friends ran away to take cove once againr. He looked at his hands only to see an empty paintball gun, and glanced around the area to see where the others are.
Somewhere over the other side, he heard an ear-piercing shriek signalling that someone was nearly shot. Swiftly, Light ran into a wooden shed to find his hidden stash of ammo and hid out of sight of the window. He kept his brething stable as he heard someone's quiet footsteps coming from outside. He waited and waited until it was gone. He curiously peeked out of the broken window and opened the door and ran as fast as he could.
Suddenly, Light noticed something odd.
"It's too...Quiet," he murmured to himself.
A smoke of dust started to build up in front of him as he saw the tip of a gun and coming from it was rows of small orbs.
[wow..i took so long on this...just hope im doing this right XD]
Nana quickly ran away for cover, knowing that because of her small stature, that she would probably be the target of most of her friends.
She held her gun up to eye level, and looked around, and sprinted towards the other side of the field.
But, as she rounded to the building, she noticed a taller figure following her, a smirk, and she prepared to shoot, but was taken down by Masako who just seemed to come out of no where.
"Ouch!" She squealed.
Nana stood up and aimed her gun at Masako, "Sako-chan, why would you hurt little me?" She frowned, putting on her best puppy dog face.
But then, The young Furuude noble noticed Light creeping around in the building, she kicked up a bunch of sand and shot at him, "I don't think so!"
She turned back to Masako, she cocked her gun, and stepped back, pulling the trigger for the best aim she could possibly come up with.
Light's eye's watered when specks of dust entered his eyes, nearly blinding him. He fell to his knees as everything spun around wildy. He heard a tap, tap, tap as the balls exploded on the doors of the building, creating pretty patterns on it. The principal would definately hate them for this, but it was a beautiful masterpiece.
"Just who was that?" he asked the familiar figures in front of him. Two identically tall teenagers and a smaller one; not too small but an average height.
He grasped his gun tightly and aimed at the figures. Light Squinted his eyes just to see through the tornado of dust and sand. Just as he heard a gunshot, he pulled is trigger aswell. The balls flew through the air, speeding its way towards the unaware opponent.
He got up to his feet and ran towards Nana and Masako.
"Ouch!"
Masako smiled, satisfied. Yess, a hit. She kept an eye on Nana, as she turned around and aimed her own weapon at her.
"Sako-chan, why would you hurt little me?"
Masako's smile faded, as she saw the blue-haired girl's sad face. Her cuteness made her feel bad... Indeed, why had she shot her?
She shook it off. Nana was just trying to distract her with her innocence, she had to keep herself from falling for that. Taking aim at her again, she smiled once more.
"Because that's the spirit of the game, Nana-chan~"
She was ready to shoot again, when suddenly Nana grabbed a handful of sand from the ground, throwing it towards Light Yagami, who Masako hadn't noticed until now. She was just in time to react, when both Light and Nana started shooting at her; dropping down onto the ground, she dodged most of the shots - one hit her arm painfully, though. Standing up quickly, she shot once at each person before backing away as fast as she could. Her skirt dusty and her shirt colored with red and yellow, Masako ran towards a big tree and hid behind it.
At the same time Sakiko darted to the scene, almost running into Light.
"Ugh! Damn it!" she cursed out, as she spotted all the persons around her. Shooting a series of balls at everyone, she wasted all her ammo.
"Damn it AGAIN!" she screamed, retreating and rushing back towards the direction where she had come from.
It was sunny. It was a school-day. And people were getting shot.
Grinning with the least bit of restraint, Mayonaka loaded her own weapon. She'd already proven to be a pest to some of the students who had unknowingly wandered into her firing range. Running in fright, they'd left May laughing at the unseenly green splatters across their too bright for comfort clothing. She wasn't exactly one to talk though. Today, in her normal fashion, she'd gone to school in a bright violet shirt with golden flowers trimming the bottom. Her pants were a blinding white with signs of wear and tear at the edges.
About to aim and fire yet again, a familiar voice sounded. Hearing Nana's calls for a gathering, Mayonaka heeded the message.
“Okay guys. Since our old class president transferred… We will need a new one, right?” To tell the truth, May couldn't have cared less about who got to be president. Smirking, she stood with the paintball gun leaned across her shoulder as the youngest of the group continued speaking.
“5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. GO!”
Reacting fast, May sprinted off behind one of the trees. The rest of the group had begun distracting themselves behing the building. Wrong move. "OY! I see ya!" Not really caring who she ended up shooting, Mayonaka released 5 shots of the green paint-balls towards her unwary targets.
Light chuckled at the sight of Sakiko. He smiled at her and cocked his gun. He pointed at her menacingly. Out of nowhere, she shot at everyone at a non-stop pace. Light threw himself on the floor this time, shooting baack at her and his face fell into a puddle of mud.
He heard more footsteps coming from the opposite direction.
"OY! I see ya!" someone called out and it was followed by a a series of thunderous bang. He felt a strong force of wind go past his hair and he sighed a sigh of relief.
Light stayed down and rolled into a bush, getting caught in thorns and branches along the way. He popped up the bush to see what was going on and kept his eye on the prize; May, who had just appeared.
"Yes,yes yes...shoot everybody that you see May..." he whispered to himself.
He lightly placed his finger on the trigger and aimed for the fleeing Sakiko. He pulled it and the gun jumped sending Light flying backwards into a pond that was behind the bush. Water splashed everywhere and the sound of water breaking as Light landed in it might have been heared by everyone.
"is this the end?"
"OY! I see ya!"
Masako peeked from behind the tree, seeing Mayonaka shooting at everything that moved. She was a dangerous opponent... Yet at the moment, her back was facing the green-haired teenager and her hiding place. What a perfect opportunity...
She aimed. Her hands shook as she flinched slightly, when she heard a huge splash - glancing towards the pond, she saw Light flying into the water. Holding back a chuckle, she aimed at May again, shooting two blue balls at her back. Masako didn't stay to see if she had hit her target, silently darting behind another tree, which was further away - the view was perfect, her seeing everyone from there.
Wait a sec... where's Sakiko?
Sakiko was still running, turning left and right, cursing inwardly. Where could she get more ammo?
Not looking where she was going, she didn't notice that she started to rush back towards the shed and the others. She stopped, as she saw her sister hiding behind a tree, not realizing that Sakiko was approaching her from behind.
The short-haired girl kept her emerald-green eyes at Masako. Oh yes, she would take her down... she would become the class president... Others wouldn't stand a chance....
The green in her eyes darkened. She crept closer, the other still not noticing her. Stopping silently right behind her, she chuckled in a maniac tone, raising her gun and smashing it against the back of Masako's head.
Her target let out a surprised shout, losing consciousness seconds later. Sakiko kept on chuckling, as she looked at her fallen sister. She had done it! Masako wasn't standing! She had beaten her!
Yes, I... I did it... I... Sakiko hesitated. Chuckling stopped. Her eyes widened in horror, as she saw Masako on the ground, a large bump appearing from behind the green hair. Small drops of blood had colored some of the strands crimson.
"AAAAAHHH!" she yelled, kneeling next to her sister. "SAKO-CHAN! Who did this to you?! WHO?!" For a weird reason, she remembered nothing about the last two minutes... Ignoring it, she focused on the girl lying on the grass unconscious, examining the injuries in shock.
"SOMEBODY HELP!" Sakiko yelled, a tear falling down her cheek.
Nana smiled, as she watched both Sakiko and Light fall to the ground.
"That's two down, two to go." She said, looking towards Mayonaka and Masako.
She dove towards her base, and quickly refilled her gun and stuffed her pockets with as much ammo as she can take. Then, quickly, she crawled out from the wall and checked to see if the coast was clear.
She took notice of May-chan just shooting like crazy, what a dangerous situation to be in.
But, she had completely lost sight of Masako,
"Damn..." She muttered trying to keep herself as alert as possible.
She carefully aimed at May-chan and shot, "YOU SHOULD WATCH WHERE YOU'RE SHOOTING!" Nana shouted, taking cover again.
The Class President would be all hers at this point. As long as she found Masako.
And then she heard Sakiko screaming, "Huh?"
Nana was one of the first to run to the scene, and saw Sakiko hovering over her sister, with a bloody paintball gun by her side, and Masako's head bleeding from the back. "Oh! Oh no! Hold on... I'll... lemme get Grantz-sensei! He's only around the corner! Somebody! Stay with Sakiko and Masako!!" Nana screamed to the others.
May moved slightly to check over her gun then heard the tell-tale sound of two pellets rushing by. One grazed her hair, causing her to look behind her.
It was Masako. Evil little... Smiling brightly, Mayonaka prepared to fire again when all at once, her attention was seperated to several things. The splash of Light falling into a body of water made her start turning reflexively, but the sight of another figure walking behind her cause her to look back. Just in time, she saw Sakiko strike her sister down. Wha... What?...
Masako fell to the ground and her sister seemed to have a relapse in memory. May stared for a moment. She felt like she'd seen this before but... What? "M-masako?... MASAKO!"
"M-masako?... MASAKO!"
Sakiko saw May and Nana rush to them, her vision blurry because of the tears. May looked at her in slight shock... and disbelief. She didn't care, crying as she held Masako's limp body in her arms.
"Don't die don't die don't die don't die... Sako-chan, don't leave me..." she muttered into her sister's ear, more tears flowing down from her emerald-green eyes. She heard distantly, how Nana said something about Grantz-sensei. Yes, he would cure Masako, he would... He was a good doctor, one of the best ones! Burying her face into Masako's hair, Sakiko sniffled. Who had done this to her? And why? She had seen no-one, no-one at all. How could it have been possible?
As she raised her head, she spotted the gun on the ground - to her shock, she recognized it. It was hers.
Nonononono, I didn't. I DIDN'T! she thought in panic, letting go of Masako, grabbing her head.
"I DIDN'T DO IT!" she screamed, her eyes having the crazy gleam in them again. She continued to scream with a deafening, high-pitched tone.
"I DIDN'T DO IT! I DIDN'T DO IT! I DIDN'T DO IT, I DIDN'T! I DIDN'T!" the words she shouted out were unrecognizable now, as she stared at the bloody gun, screaming her lungs out.
Nana ran around Hinamizawa to find the Irie-clinic. She pushed open the doors, and sprinted directly into Szayel's office, ignoring the nurses that had tried to stop her.
"Grantz-sensei! Grantz-sensei!" She shouted, when she couldn't find him. "Crap!"
"Nana? Is everything alright?"
"Oh! Szayel Aporro-sensei, you have to come quickly! Masako Sonozaki, she got hurt!"
"...Hurt? How?"
"She was hit in the head with a paintball gun." Nana said, not being able to wait any longer. "Just come on!" Nana grabbed the taller man's wrist and ran out of the clinic, back to the scene.
The scientist saw the teenagers all gathered around Masako, and he quickly rushed to her side. He heard Sakiko screaming about her sister, but he couldn't let the situation get out of hand. "Please, Sakiko-chan, calm down. She'll be fine." He placed a hand on the top of her head, and gave her a reassuring smile, "I wont let anything bad happen to her."
Then, he kneeled by Masako's side, carefully, he moved her green hair from the wound so he could get a better look at the problem.
"She has a bit of head trauma from the hit... I'm gonna have to take her back to the clinic, alright?" Szayel carefully picked her up, but noticed the gun that she was hit with.
Covered in blood, "Sakiko-chan... was this you're gun?" He asked her, looking down at the green haired twin.
May was just staring. She felt like she already knew what would happen if she said something.
Szayel arrived, Nana practically dragging him to the spot, and began to examine Masako's injury. Sakiko was turning into a wreck, shouting at the top of her lungs. Mayonaka had seen what had happened. Hadn't she? Yeah... But why did it feel so weird? Familiar... Gah no!
Tryin her best not to seem awkward, she shiverred and scratched the back of her head. A little irking movement she had in situations like this. A bloody paintball gun that belonged to Sakiko who had just clubbed her sistern and didn't remember it. And... LIGHT!
"Light-o!" Mayonaka ran off to the pool of water and reached in to grab the poor boy. "Sorry, sorry, sorry!"
"Please, Sakiko-chan, calm down. She'll be fine."
Sakiko's voice faded, as a warm hand was placed on top of her head. She looked up, her eyes once more normal, her whole body shaking. And again, she had no memories of the previous minutes. It concerned her... What was going on with her mind? Swallowing, she looked into Szayel's eyes, tears still falling down from her own.
"I wont let anything bad happen to her."
Sakiko nodded. The hand was moved away, now swiping Masako's green hair out of the wound's way.
"She has a bit of head trauma from the hit... I'm gonna have to take her back to the clinic, alright?"
Once again, she nodded. Watching as Masako was picked up, she noticed how Szayel stared at something on the ground. She followed his gaze, seeing the paint-ball gun covered in blood.
"Sakiko-chan... was this your gun?"
Sakiko raised her trembling hand, covering her mouth with her palm. No... she couldn't have...
"Y-yes..." she whispered, her agony growing, her expression turning into an even more suffering one, "...i-i-it's mine..." she broke down, starting to sob uncontrollably. It was all so confusing; why had she hurt her own sister?
Nana looked at everything that was going on. It was way too soon for this to be happening. They were just playing a friendly game of paintball! Hearing Sakiko scream like that nearly made Nana want to cry out, herself. She clenched her fists, looking at Szayel converse with Sakiko, and she looked just as terrified.
She shook off the thought, "We'll leave you alone, okay, Szayel-sensei? Kiko-chan?"
This was his business, and she didn't want to interrupt.
Szayel sighed, watching Sakiko break down into tears. He shut his eyes, and got to eye level with her. "We all do senseless things, sometimes. Your sister will be fine." He stood up straight, and adjusted Masako in his arms, trying to cover up the wound as best as he could to stop it from further bleeding.
"Come with me to the clinic, I... have something for you too." He said, in a much more serious tone.
Once they got there, he set Masako down on one of the gurneys, turning her head to the side a little. Fixing her up wouldn't require as much, how she would act when she woke up was an entirely different subject.
Wrapping bandages around her head to protect her from bleeding anymore and would hopefully close the wound faster than if it were left out to the particles in the air.
"Now, Sakiko. I just want you to calm down, alright?" He looked through one of the draws at his desk, and placed a test tube holder, filled with numerous liquids on the surface. He picked one of the syringes up and looked at her. "This wont cause any harm to you, alright? It'll... return you back to normal."
He didn't want to go into too much detail, pulling out a needle was frightening enough.
Nana over to Mayonaka and Light, who was on the floor in a nice huge puddle of water.
"Light-kuuun, are you alright? We all sort of got distracted! Gomenasai!" She smiled, trying to lighten up the mood a little.
She stood beside May, but didn't look at her. She knew that May was just as concerned as Nana was about the whole situation.
"The battle's not over yet, anyway. We haven't picked a winner." She smirked.
"Don't die don't die don't die don't die... Sako-chan, don't leave me..."
"Nonononono, I didn't. I DIDN'T! "
"I DIDN'T DO IT! I DIDN'T DO IT! I DIDN'T DO IT, I DIDN'T! I DIDN'T!"
Light over heard the converasation over in the pool of water and wondered what happened. Someone was screaming about not doing it. But not doing what? He sat in the water for a while pondering over this. Just infront of him, there was a wide gap in the bush where he rolled into and saw a gun lying on the floor; it was covered in blood.
"That's Sakiko's gun," he said quietly. Next to the bloody gun was a girl lying on the floor, she had green hair and it was stained it red. "Masako?"
Sooner or later, Nana came back dragging Szayel by the wrist in a hurry.
"Sakiko-chan... was this your gun?"
"Y-yes..."
Light saw May running towards him in concern.
"Light-o!" Mayonaka ran off to the pool of water and reached in to grab the poor boy. "Sorry, sorry, sorry!"
"Its okay," he replied as he got up on his feet. His clothes were now soaking wet, his hair flat down on his head. He shivered as the cold wind blew towards him and sat back down.
"Light-kuuun, are you alright? We all sort of got distracted! Gomenasai!" Nana smiled, trying to lighten up the mood a little.
Light smiled back at Nana as if the incident with the twins never happened.
"Yes Im okay thanks." he laughed.
He looked around the area and saw that Szayel-sensei was carrying Masako and Sakiko followed him.
"The battle's not over yet, anyway. We haven't picked a winner."
Light scrambled to his feet, trying to find his gun. It was lying in the water and grabbed it.
"We're still doing it?" he asked and cocked his gun, ready for the action.
Sakiko's teary eyes met Szayel's, as he crouched and looked at her calmly.
"We all do senseless things, sometimes. Your sister will be fine."
She nodded again, trusting the pink-haired doctor.
"T-t-thank you, Grantz-sensei..." she whispered quietly, looking at the ground.
"Come with me to the clinic, I... have something for you too."
He sounded serious; Sakiko raised her head, bit her lip, and then stood up slowly, avoiding the stares her friends shot at her.
Soon they arrived to the clinic, Sakiko following Szayel, who was carrying the still unconscious Masako. They stepped into a white room; the green-haired girl sat down on a chair, staring at her hands sadly as Grantz-sensei treated Masako. After a moment the doctor turned to her - Sakiko raised her gaze towards him carefully.
"Now, Sakiko. I just want you to calm down, alright?"
Sakiko's muscles tensed; something was up. She nodded, not saying a word. When she saw him preparing a syringe, her emerald eyes widened in shock. What was he about to inject into her?
"This wont cause any harm to you, alright? It'll... return you back to normal."
The short-haired teen gulped. Yet before Szayel stepped forward, she spoke:
"Return me... back to normal?" she asked, fear reflecting from her stare, "I-is there something wrong with me?"
In truth, Nana didn't want the others to think about what happened. Drop the subject, she knew it was the best solution. Especially when she saw Hanyuu come by to her, squealing with fear, thinking that it was already too late. But Nana had faith in her friends, and telling them why everyone reacted so strangely to Sakiko's behavior would just make everyone explode. It was too early for that.
Nana chuckled, taking out her gun. "It should be a quick match. We don't want to keep Kiki and Sako-chan waiting too long!" She said.
The small blue haired girl smiled violently, taking her 'weapon' and raising it at the older student, aiming it right at his chest.
"I'll do the count off again!" Nana smirked, turning towards Mayonaka now, "One..."
She stepped forward.
"Twwooo~"
She cocked her weapon.
"Three~"
Preparing her aim.
"GO!!!"
And she shot her weapon.
Szayel shut his eyes, clenching his teeth. He knew that she would ask a question such as that. But what could he tell her.
"No, no, no, no. I can tell, that you're just under high levels of stress. You were playing paintball with your sister and your friends, correct?" He asked, keeping his distance from her. Szayel didn't want to scare her off by moving any closer with a syringe in his hands. He wasn't trying to frighten the girl.
"You two can get pretty competitive when playing games such as that and... eventually it becomes a big deal for power and winning." A smile. "My brother and I used to be like that too."
He set the needle back onto his desk, "You don't have to take the injection if you don't want to. But... I highly recommend it. If you don't... you should just go home and take a nap, or something. Clear your mind. I can be the one to tell you're mother what happened to your sister, she'll understand." He replied to her, trying to make the situation as friendly as possible, 'She would understand... she knows what the disease does to people...'
"Yes..." Sakiko replied, biting her nail. She was starting to get even more nervous... a weird feeling started to grow inside her. Maybe it was stress after all - this young already?
"You two can get pretty competitive when playing games such as that and... eventually it becomes a big deal for power and winning. My brother and I used to be like that too."
Sakiko sighed in relief, as the needle was put on the desk. She disliked needles greatly.
She was silent for a while, thinking how her mother was going to react to the news. He would probably be horrified... and maybe a little angry.
Should she take the injection? Grantz-sensei was a clever man, he always knew what to do. She could definitely trust her health into his hands. Breathing in deeply, she pulled up the sleeve of her purple shirt, revealing her arm.
"I'll take it, sensei", she said quietly, starting to prepare herself for the injection, trying to relax her muscles to cause as little pain as possible.
