im sorry if this is spoiler but he is playable after you find mickey every time sora dies you can take mickey if you want or else you restart it will be a little bit like donald and goofy you play mickey after a minute sora will be alive and then you are forced to take sora again

yeeppp what he ^ sed...but not everybattle..=-=" mickey can do various things

circle: keyblade
square" ball of magic thing that repetadley hits enemy
x: jump
triangle: revive (revive makes mickey charge up his drive gauge, when it reaches max 3 you can revive sora nd mickey goes away

FYI MICKEY CANT WIN BOSS BATLES FOR U U GOTTA REVIVE SORA ND FINISH HIM OFF!!! =-="

Its alright just dont take a.k.a rip anyone else's sig's cause some people will get really mad and flame u. Go to the graphics section and ask for a sig to be made for u.
