Help?

Sorry if there is a REALLY obvious awnser to this...but...

I'm trying to change my avatar. When I upload an image for my computer it says:
"This is not a vaild image file"

and when I try the same image's URL from photobucket it says:
"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

I'm sooo confused! It's the right size and everything D':

I resized it to 100x100. Now try it again.

[EDIT] If this isn't the case, then I recommend you convert it into a different file format. You have it as a .jpg, right?
