i wasnt sure where to put this....

but i was wondering if i should get it in Blu Ray or standard def DVD. i know bluray is obviously better, but the problem is i dont have a bluray player... yet. i plan on getting a ps3 in a year or so. but Harry Potter is my favorite movie so i dont think i can wait. and i probably wont be able to buy the normal DVD now, and the bluray one again in a year or so. what should i do? this is for Christmas btw, which i only have plans on getting like 2 things.

i think the answer is pretty obviouse , you can either have a dvd sitting around for a year or so before you use it, or otherwise get something you can use right now

unless high definition graphics mean something major to you, just stick to the regular dvd

I have a PS3 an one blu-ray disc and even though it looks amazing i still go out and buy the regular dvds. Why you might ask.... Well its called they are 10 to 20 dollars cheaper than the blu-ray dvd. You get the same thing you wanted. Blu-ray and HD are great but i dont see a point as long as i can watch the dvd its all good. Its clear enough for me either way.

Sure, get the Blu-Ray version later once you have the player.
Also, I *think* you can find a place to upgrade your DVD into a Blu-Ray.

Get the Blu-Ray version if you're sure you're going to buy a PS3/Blu-Ray player and a High-Def TV.

Don't get it if you don't plan on getting those two things.

No.

However if I'm correct, most Blu-Rays come with a DVD version of the movie as well.

Not if you shop online.

Shipping would be like $3.00 for a DVD and a Blu-Ray if you don't do Rush Delivery.
If you know you are getting a Blu-Ray player (or PS3 in this case) buy the Blu-Ray disc and wait a few days to watch it or buy it along with your PS3.
