The tracks rumbled and the faint sound of an engine could be heard to all those who it passed by. If you were to look outside of your home you would see it, the large red steam engine, it was this train that they called....The Hogwarts Express. On this train were students. Students who were going to learn magic and the like at a school known to everyone as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Inside the train were said students, dressed in their robes that represented what house they belonged to.

Just a few more hours and they would be at the school where a great new year is about to begin.
------------------------------

"Reaper, what classes are you taking this year?" One of the Ravenclaw prefects asked him.

"The usuals. Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts," Blain replied, "Oh and my favorite subject....Divinations." The last one he said sarcastically.

The whole carriage laughed at him as he looked around and smiled at his peers.

"Hey sixth years, anyone else gonna take the Apparition class? It costs twelve galleons..." Blain asked the group.

Some of them raised there hands and some of them didn't, claiming that they had N.E.W.T.S level classes and were going to spend most of this year studying for the exams next year. Blain nodded his head seeing as how he was one of them and yet he was still going to take the class.

"Well everyone, it's time for us to make our rounds. I'll take the 1st years, anyone want to go with me?" He asked before leaving.

Shane sat in his chair, not moving. To the naked eye it seemed as if he was asleep, but in truth he was actually staring out the window, wondering about things from the last year.

He sighed as the trolley lady came up to his compartment.
"Would you like anything to eat before we arrive?" She asked with a smile on her face. He had seen her for the last two years, and nodded his head.

"Yes, I would like a box of Chocolate Frogs please." Shane asked as he got out his coin purse. The trolley lady began to pass him the delicious treat.

"One galleon please." She said sweetly. He nodded his head and handed her two, one for the treat and the other as a tip. She pocketed the second piece and smiled as she left.

Shane went back to his window, opening the Chocolate Frog. As he opened it the frog came to life, and aimed for the window. Shane was ready for this and whispered a spell. A small burst of energy came from his wand, and knocked out the frog. He smiled as he put the little bugger in his mouth.

He looked down to see which famous witch or wizard he got. He was a little surprised by the man with black hair and green eyes staring back at him.
"Harry Potter?" Shane mumbled and shook his head and then looked back down at the famous of all wizards. It was indeed the famous Harry Potter. He smiled as he pocketed his rarest Trading Wizard Card. He had a good feeling about this year.

He was on the right track, a rare trading card, a bunch of friends, and most importantly a game he loved to death. He smiled as he saw the smoke go past his window.
They were almost there to Hogwarts, the Greatest place in the world.

Alexander gazed out of the window, the sun set unto the horizon, the train’s engine roared as it made its way to Hogwarts. His friends giggled around him as they engaged in a conversation about the Quidditch series and who was going to win this year.

“Come on you know Slytherin has a grand team this year” His friend Neo spoke, Alexander sighed as the train finally came to a halt. His belonging was teleported to his room, so he rode the carriage with his friends. Before the horses took off a girl with long black hair, glasses, and a gloomy expression on her face boarded with them. She immediately turned to Alexander.

“Beware young wizard for I sense an evil presence among us” She muttered. Alexander had a stunned expression on his face when she suddenly vanished.

"Another year.." murmured Raymond as he walked throughout the Great Hall, which was finely prepared for the students to arrive once more to learn and grow. He was anxious, knowing he had to yet again prepare students for dangers that lurked outside the walls. What he taught them now would be invaluable later on in life, and he was happy to teach the generations to come. Other teachers were already seated and talking amongst each other, but as for him, he couldn't sit down just yet. He hadn't eaten since the morning. All the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher could think about, was what to teach them of next. OF course he'd review Boggarts like he did every year, and while students might groan, they'd do well to remember them.

"How should I start things off this time..? Maybe a bit of Stupefy practice..no no no ..Patronus? I should save that.." he whispered to himself, moving over to his seat at the table, knowing soon the students would all arrive and feast with glee. Although, he expected the return of a certain Hufflepuff the most, who had always stayed behind to ask extra questions after class, one of the few who ever did, really. For a Hufflepuff, he was ..special, deep down inside, but he didn't hold favorites.

_

"Zzzz.." silently breathed Spencer MacTavish, resting in a compartment with other Hufflepuff companions and friends of his. All of them, belonging to the Quidditch team. Being the Captain, the team looked up to him to devise strategies and choose times to reserve the field for practice. After a heavy discussion of the plans they'd use this year, he dozed off, and the rest of the team understood and let him sleep. For now, he was resting peacefully while he could. It was great ..seeing everyone again, at least. The shifting of the train aroused him from sleep, causing him to be patted on the head by a pal of his as everyone stood up. The train stopped, and it felt as though only a moment ago he shut his eyes. "Already?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes and standing up, stretching and chuckling with some friends who made a few jokes about his snoozing. With everything he needed in hand, he left the train to take the carriages.

Rawana Havers got up from her desk in her office. She had been finishing up the first weeks lesson plans for the students of Hogwarts. "Now that's out of the way..." She pushed the great oak chair into her desk, and headed up to the great hall.

The Great Hall was lit with the candles from above, as it always was at the start of the year feast. It looks beautiful to her eyes. Just the perfect lighting.

She sat down next to Raymond Prescott, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher.

Rem soared through the Hogsmeade skies, looking down on all the civilians. After one more circle above The Four Broomsticks the man disguised as a raven dropped down behind the building. Once he was out of every ones site and transformed back into his human form. His beak disappeared first, followed by his wings and bird legs, then his wings turned into arms and he was once again human. He shook himself as his tail disappeared.

His phone rang twice before he put it to his ear. "This is Rem." He said, "Adonis and I are at Hogsmeade, the new school year is about to begin and the Owl is already in the Great Hall."

"The Shrieking Shack is empty around this time." The man on the phone said.

"Yes master, I'll keep you informed as the mission goes as planned." Rem said before he hung up. He came around the corner and into the open right when Adonis showed up. No one thought it odd that two men wrapped in black robes and dark shades just happened to show up. Rem nodded to his partner and led him to the Shrieking Shack, which would now be known as their hideout.

Blain made way to the carriage in the way back of the train, passing a few younger students who looked up to him and thought of him as a friend. When he finally made it to the back he heard a voice he recognized from last year, "Hey Reaper!" Blain turned around to see a chocolate frog headed for his face. He dodged it and found himself staring in the direction of James Sirius Potter.

"What's up little guy? Where's your little brother and cousin?" He asked.

James pointed him in the direction of two younger kids, one boy and one girl. "So you're Albus Potter, definitely a spitting image of your father ." He shook the shy boys hand and looked at the girl, "Rose Weasley I presume, you look just like your mother." She nodded and shook is hand.

"Have fun at Hogwarts this year, I look forward to seeing you kids around." Blain said, "And James, try not to get into any trouble this year." Blain left the compartment and went back to the front as it was almost time to leave.

An hour later, the train arrived in Hogwarts station and the Threastral pulled carriages arrived. Hagrid waited by the gate to great the first years while the 2nd years and above took their bags and boarded a carriage, "It's great to be back." Blain said.

Walking with his Quidditch companions, Spencer smiled widely as they discussed the possibilities of transfiguring into a goblin. Such knuckleheads, but he loved them for their humor. Climbing aboard a halted carriage, he climbed on along with the rest of the Hufflepuff's and headed for the castle with smiles etched on their faces. The Quidditch season was something he was looking forward to especially.

"..Perhaps the Warning spell ..or a review of the basics to start off the year." Always in thought, Raymond didn't say a word to the Potions teacher when she sat down, knowing full well what house she represented. Although he didn't like discriminating, Slytherin enjoyed bullying and a high amount of teasing, bringing spirits down with their cruelty. A bunch of bullies they were, at least the majority ..and for that, he chose not to associate with one of them if he could help it. He was there to teach, and discipline didn't come with the job. But if they didn't know their place, he had to step in.

When she was settled, he gazed off in the other direction casually, pretending to listen in on a couple other staff members speaking.

Being 17 has it's privileges, I guess. Being allowed to do magic outside of school, having the trace off of me... yeah my plans this year are going to be grand.

Ryan stood inside of the Great Hall watching all the Students come in, from people he had know all his time at Hogwarts to the 1st year's just learning of all the grand things magic could bring them. How many are going to be in my house, and how many could I get to do my bidding, Ryan thought his usual thoughts.

Ryan watched as some of the Hufflepuff Quiddich team came through the door, spying Spencer among them.

You know, for being a misrable Hufflepuff, and being so quiet, Spencer isn't such a bad guy. At least he isn't one of those filthy Gryffendors. Draco told me never to associate with the likes of them. And these 7 years that I've been here, I found out, he was right.

Stepping over to the Syltherin table, he sat down and waited for the grand feast that was to come. And when he sat down, he felt that things were finally going to go his way this year.

Shane was already in the carriages with the rest of the Gryffendors, he had said hello to the friendly giant named Hagrid, and then got into the carriages. He had seen his friend James, but he hadn't had a chance to talk to him.

He sighed as he saw a few Gryffendor girls head towards him. He got out of the carriage and opened the door.
"Ladies." Was all he said with a smile. they giggled knowing who he was. He got in and spent the entire trip to the castle explaining to them the differences between a Werewolf and the Omen.

"Ah finally! We are here!" Shane exclaimed as he opened the door for the two girls. They looked in awe at the castle. Every time he was here he felt like he was supposed to.

"Would you ladies like me to escort you to the Feast?" He said smiling happily. He was one of the popular kids for his years, he had many friends in all years, and that as due to him being so likable.

As they reached the Gryffendor table he looked for James wondering where he could be.
"Excuse me ladies." he said dismissing himself. As he left he thought he heard giggles. Apparently he lived up to his reputation.

He found James siting closest to the Teachers Table. He sat down and smiled.
"Another year eh James?" Shane said to his good friend. James looked up at him, a mouthful of food.

"Yesh its a versh good yersh." James mumbled as he tried to talk with a mouthful.
"So what do you think your brother is going to be sorted into?" Shane said taking his place next to his friend. James shrugged.

"Dunno. Father said that he could chose which house he is in. So who know?" James began to take another bite of his Turkey. Shane sighed and began to eat.
"Well let's hope he is in Gryffendor, we could always use another Potter." Shane said happily as he began to devour his food.

James punched him in the arm laughing at his friend.
Nothing could make this year any less fun.

Lana Whincester opened her eyes suddenly after dosing off on the train, they were almost to Hogwarts she thought her eyes looking at a few ravenclaw students that walked by. She looked around at the other students that were in her carriage, three other slytherin girls were laughing and joking around ready for the new year. “My mother was considereing sending me to a new school all the way in France, Beu...beu...beu...yeah it was a really high class”

Lana rolled her eyes, as she heard a comforting voice “Anything from the trolley?”

“Pumpkin Pasty, please” she pipped up, her black hair falling eleganty framing her face as she handed over a few sickles “I’m going for a walk” putting her wand in her cloak pocket and began walking.

Upon her chest the Quiddich captain badge gleamed. Not watching where she was walking she triped over a small 1st grade

“Watch it kid” she said a little irritated, walking further down the train she looked into an empty carriage except for one boy who had sneakingly jinxed a chocolate frog

The train rolled to a stop and as she satr in the carriage with the thestrals still pulling them. The hall when she got their was filled with students, many who she had a natural destest for. Struting over to the Slytherin table she say a familiar face “Hey Ryan, how was your summer?”

"--as much as Ravenclaw." Spencer had entered the Great Hall after a joyful ride on the carriage with his team. A few other Hufflepuff's were waiting for them by the main doors, and so they had regrouped and rejoiced at seeing each other yet again. As part of the Quidditch team split off with the ones that regrouped, Spencer chose to remain with a couple of Chasers on his team, both young men like him. As they proceeded to the far end of the Hufflepuff table, he exchanged glances with the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Prescott. A very respectable man, Spencer had always been able to earn Hufflepuff some house points when answering questions or performing a spell correctly in the first few tries. Nodding and a small grin given to the man out of respect, Spencer took a seat, the Chasers sitting beside him.

"If it weren't for me becoming Seeker, I'd be able to help you lot out more, you know your hopeless." normally this would come off as offensive, but the Chasers knew Spencer well enough to know when he was only fooling. Becoming Captain was not an easy burden to bear, and the least he could do was make sure everyone on his team was cheerful.
_

There he is ..Always having a good relationship with Spencer, Raymond was glad to see him back again this year. From here, he could see the Hufflepuff students speaking highly of Quidditch, as well as question Spencer about any new plans this year for the team. Win or lose, Hufflepuff enjoyed themselves and always stuck together, very admirable for that house. Smiling warmly, Raymond awaited the Headmaster's words, and the Sorting ..but most especially, the feast.

Alexandria walked into the Great Hall. She smiled. Looked around, looked at all the familiar faces. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and even Slytherin, she had made good friends in all the houses over her years in Hogwarts but the friends she would remember the most were in her own house, Ravenclaw. She saw her friend Terrance, which had been her best friend since their 2nd year. He would always ask her for help in their classes because he lacked the ability to study. Alexandria walked over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down beside him.

"How was your summer Alex?"

"It was great. I went on a family trip to see dragons, studied, and practiced Quiditch. Aren't you glad this is our last year here?"

Terrance lowered his head.

"I guess. I'm not ready for the real world like you are. You're smart, as soon as you leave here you'll have a number of jobs lined up to hire you and if you dont you are athletic, you'll probably have a recruiter come to you this year to talk about a professional job in Quiditch. As for me....I could hope for a position as a house elf haha."

"You're not that bad Terrance. Have faith in yourself."

"The only faith I have in myself is looking off of your paper during tests."

Alexandria and Terrance both laughed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The leopard walked slowly through the woods. Gracefully, silently it walked. It walked through the woods until it came upon a clearing. The end of the woods showed an old house. A house that the leapord had seen before. It walked to the old house. Letting out a growl the leopard began to change form. From being on all fours it stood on two legs and started to change from the appearance of a huge cat to a human. He cracked his neck and stretched out. He shook off the leaves that were on his robe. Alexander stood there staring.

"The Shrieking Shack! I remember when this place use to be scarey to me when I went to school." he said to himself. "THe others should be here soon. Everything should be falling into place."

Leaning back lazily in a reclining office chair, Reginald gazed dreamily out towards the canvas of nature existing well beyond the window of his new office. It was the most beautiful scene that his mind could never seem to imagine. Burning orange-red, mixing yellow into the blue sky of the day prior. It was such that even the clouds were taking on a color other than their usual snow white, albeit towards their tops, thousands of miles high, which maintained themselves as a dark grey. In such disbelief was Reginald that he dared to push up his glasses, and rub his eyes, just to make sure that everything was corporeal. With no avail in deeming the imagery before him false, he turned around ninety degrees, facing the entrance to the office.

Looking out quickly through the open door, out into the empty, but readied classroom beyond, his sight drifted upwards. Sitting above the door, hung magically onto the wall along the edge of the frame was a trinket that was not his own; an aged, yet still powerful looking coo-coo clock, made from what he assumed was mahogany, and decorated with a host of far east apparel had been left behind by whoever had held the office prior to Reginald. As the hands of the clock edged forward to the six-o-clock mark, the professor drew closer to the antique time teller.

Three, two, one! From the tiny door near the base of the clock, a tongue burst out, acting as a mount for a scaled down, animated model of a Chinese Fireball breed of dragon. Them miniature beast writhed itself around violently to no end, as though believing itself capable of breaking loose from its mount. It’s long, dinosaur like neck slithered back and forth as it roared out a high pitched shriek six times, while at the same time, breathing out real, yet oddly, non-lethal jets of flames. The effect it had on Professor Cross was like that which a ball of yarn at on a kitten. His face shone with gleeful excitement, and a youthful smile broke from his face. “Love it when that happens!” he stated as though his enjoyment was a massive achievement.

Rapidly burning through his amusement at the simplicity of the item, he rose from his chair with little effort. As though second nature, acquired from years of following a similar method of action, his body shrunk down, sprouting a series of black feathers, and razor sharp talons. Now, upon the table whereupon there should have been a man, there was a large, jet black, red-eyed owl, rotating its head the full 180 degrees allowed by his anatomy. Without a thought, other than his duties as a professor, he fluttered out of the office flying along through the currently deserted corridors. Traversing the maze of halls, making his way through whatever open doors he could find, he made his way down into the entrance hall, reforming himself into a man as he landed upon the stone floor.

“Professor McGonnagall,”
he stated to the elderly witch standing before him, with her back turned in his direction. Never one to be frightened by a sudden voice, the Headmistress turned around calmly, giving him a curt nod. “The first years will be here in a short while, Reginald,” she said in her normal, official sounding voice. “You will be responsible for leading them into the Great Hall, after you have given them the welcome, and general information regarding the house system, Understood?” He returned her curt nod, spicing it up with an almost flirtatious wink. “Right. Of course I understand. I remember coming here myself.” The Headmistress ignored whatever possible advances he may have been making, and walked away, reminding him that he had fifteen minutes before the first years arrived as she walked through the double doors into the Great Hall. Fifteen minutes? Could get boring.

Oh It's Lana, One of the only people I truly like in this school. Hey Lana. Yeah, my summer was pretty boring really. Arguments with Draco and his wife, and the like. You know. Then Ryan leaned over and whispered in her ear, Any new plans for the New Students this year? We need to terrorize them So they know who's really in charge around here. Ryan leaned back over and looked around the table, seeing his fellow Slythirens, taking it all in.

Alexander sat at the table laughing with his friends at the expressions the first year students were making when they walked in. Everyone there even Slytherin and Ravenclaw seemed happy. One of his best friends Jonathan came beside him.

“Hey there kiddo been a while” Jonathan said slapping his back. They peered around and noticed a kid they both despised harassing one of the new students. He had spiky bloodish red hair, was 5’6, and deadly green eyes. He was in the Slytherin dorm and loved to make fun of people; a regular Slytherin. Jonathan angrily walked over to him.

“Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?” The kid laughed. “Sure why don’t you get someone?” Half of the hall had fallen quiet. Alexander got up.

“Come on Phoenix why can’t you give us all a break?” Alexander asked, Phoenix snorted.

“Why don’t you make me?”

Perfect, and the feast hasn't even started yet! Phoenix is playing his role perfectly. Ha Ha! Ryan laughed while elbowing Lana and leaning over twords her. You see what kind of influence I have gained over the years? I'm the one who told him to start picking on kids, trying to get those goody two shoes all riled up. Ha Ha!
This is grand. This year is going to be great!!!!!

Rawana was silent. Thinking about the thing she usually did at the start of the year feast, How to make Sylterhin seem... Well not so evil as everybody thought it was. She never liked Syltherin for Voldemort or the death Eaters. Infact, when she was in school, the only reason she wanted to be in Slytherin was because she loved Snakes, and green and silver. And the fact they slept in the dungons. She liked that. She liked dark, as in pyshical wise, but she never liked the evil side. In her school years, she had always tried to make her fellow Slytherin's behavior less bad, but it never worked. Thankfully, she was able to make somewhat of a difference now that she was head of the house, because she had decided she would be tougher on her own house, than the others, so that they might behvaior better, therefore the reputation would have an easier way of getting lost. Maybe today will be the year , She thought to herself hopefully.Maybe...

Blain walked through the halls of Hogwarts before finding himself in the Great Hall. The first years had just arrived in the Great Hall and were waiting for further instructions. Blain sat down beside a few of his friends, waiting for the sorting to begin followed by his favorite part.....the feast. "Hey Blain, how was your summer?" Someone asked him.

"Pretty good, did a lot of working with my dad and what not. Went to see the Quidditch World Cup and chilled a lot." Blain said, "Do any of the older students still plan on continuing the dueling club this year?"

Before he could get an answer, he noticed a Slytherin and a Gryffindor student about to get into an argument. He got up to go straighten them out and sat back down as Professor McGonagall got up and put the Sorting Hat on a stool. "When Professor Cross calls your name please come forward and put the hat on and you will be sorted." She explained, she then sat back down.

Phoenix grinned waiting for Kid X to make a move, but he naturally stayed calm and evaluated the situation. A fellow Gryffindor Blain came and resolved the situation. Phoenix laughed as he walked away. The hall filled with once again much laughter and talking. The room became quiet once again when Professor McGonagall got up and put the Sorting Hat on a stool.

"When Professor Cross calls your name please come forward and put the hat on and you will be sorted." She explained, she then sat back down.

Ha Ha Ha Ha. Great job Phoenix. Keep it up!

"When Professor Cross calls your name please come forward and put the hat on and you will be sorted."

Ryan looked up and saw that Professor McGonagall was getting ready to sort out the first years. Sweet! More for the House of Salazar Syltherin! And, me being a 7th year, and 17 years old, they will look up to me! Hey Lana, wouldn't it be funny if Potter's youngest child is in Syltherin?
