I'm sort of torn between 2 as well.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - It had the most realistic designed mecha along with a Romeo and Juliet-like Love story and awsome battle scenes that made it the perfect anime series imo.

Mobile Suit Z Gundam - Probably the darkest of all Gundam series. Tomino killed off so many characters in this one that it seemed like Titans and AEUG pilots alike weren't safe from "Tomino the Slaughterer." Maybe its thanks to his depression that made this series so great. It seems when your depressed, you create great works of art.

G Gundam had such a retarded concept, yet I like it a little more than Gundam Wing. Gundam Wing has got to be the worst of all Gundam series.:glare:

NOT FUCKING SPIRA, THATS FOR SURE!
>_>..SD Gundam should not even have the name Gundam in it...it shames the word..IMO

but anyways I'm torn between 3(I think) Gundam Wing I will always love since it was the first Gundam I ever watched so even thought compared to the other Gundam shows it sucks i still gotta acknowledge it...

08th MS team I also loved like l4t1n0pr1d3 said it had a Romeo and Juliet-like love story which was cool...and I loved battles and how it felt like a real war (to me it did)

and dare I say Gundam seed...>_>...only cuz its new-age teen angst drama with giant robots which was entertaining to watch..lol...it was a soap opera with Gundams...and "war"..plus had great music too...

those are my three i guess

*As for G Gindam i liked it and it is my fav but I dont consider it gundam though...the only reason why I liked it was because it didnt have a "war"...it was just fighting even thought the fighting could have been done without Gundams..>_>

I hope your not dissing the original Japanese SD Gundam (Which was actually funny) and talking about that crap kids show they called SD which they showed in America.

Gundam SEED's only redeeming quality is good music. Other than that its a recycled Gundam for our generation that revises and recycles Orginal Gundam and Zeta Gundam and turns it into a teen pop drama with overdramatic reactions and pretty boy pilots and way too pretty mobile suits. If you still don't believe about the recycling part, just look at the characters and Mobile suits.

Kira - Amuro
Alex Dino/Athrun - Quattro/Char/Casvald
Shinn - Kamille
Neo - Char (One Year War)
Flay - Lalah
Archangel Crew - White Base Crew
3 ships alliance - AEUG
ZAFT - Zeon
Akatsuki - Hiyaku Shiki
Zaku - Zaku (lol)

War in pocket was great. It took a boy's dreams about war and tore it to shreds, teaching him the lesson that war was no game. It also had one of the bloodiest battles in a Gundam show (the Kampfer fight where nearly the entire cyclops team is wiped out by the Alex).

[rant]Those Gundam Wing mobile suits were crap. The Gundams themeselves were the most unrealistic, prettiest and underarmed Gundams in any of the other series (Excluding those G Gundam Fighters, but they were fighters, not war machines). I never got how the wing Zero "flew" in Endless Waltz with only two boosters on its back and one on each leg. Giant metal angel wings do not give any nuclear powered weapon of mass destruction enough populsion to maintain atmospheric flight, let alone allow that mobile suit to fire a weapon onto a ground target without suffering from the recoil while up in the air.

The pilots were also gay. I don't mean that in an offensive way either, they were literally gay. You could pick different combinations of the pilots and any Yaoi pairing you make would probably be canon. I don't have as much of a problem with the Pilot's sexual preference, but their personalities were cliche and . . . dumb. Heero was the common cliche quiet guy who didnt' talk much and would never show any emotions at all. Duo was annoying and needed a haircut. Trowa was a little more open than Heero, but still sort of cliche. Wufie was a prideful woman hating homosexual. Quatre was not Middle Eastern!

100 people could die in Gundam Wing and it wouldn't mean a thing. One character could die in Zeta Gundam and it would mean everything. Thats what seperates a good Gundam show from the crap that was Wing.[/rant]

One of my pet peeves is when people start glorifying Gundam Wing.

You all need to watch Zeta Gundam, or at least the compilation movies that came out this year and the last. Gackt does the theme songs:thumbup:
